The Marvels | Confusion is the first step to knowledge

With the arrival of The Marvels to Disney+ I finally got to see it, I can say very easily and without any problem that it is a very good movie to watch and be entertained without anything to complicate it. I think I had seen the trailer at some point because I knew more or less what it was going to be about, but anyway, I was shocked because I did not expect many things they did, positive, of course; So, as I am still eager to see it again even though I already saw it recently, I am here making a review of it.

A great causality makes the powers of Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan, and Monica Rambeau become intertwined, making every time two or all three of them use them simultaneously, they teleport or swap positions no matter the distance or what they are doing. It makes for a very awkward, horribly awkward situation, but the three of them have to work together to deal with the new threat to the universe.

Con la llegada de The Marvels a Disney+ finalmente pude verla, puedo decir con mucha facilidad y sin problema alguno que es una muy buena película para ver y entretenerse sin nada que lo complique. Creo que había visto el trailer en algún momento, porque lo que sabía más o menos de lo que iba a tratar, pero de todas formas me sorprendió mucho porque no me esperaba muchas cosas que hicieron, positivas, claro; Entonces, como sigo con ganas de volver a verla a pesar de que ya la vi hace poco, estoy aquí haciéndole una reseña.

Una gran causalidad hace que los poderes de Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan, y Monica Rambeau queden entrelazados, haciendo que cada vez que dos o las tres de ellas los usen al mismo tiempo, se teletransporten o intercambien de posiciones sin importar la distancia o lo que estén haciendo. Lo que crea una situación muy incómoda, horriblemente incómoda, pero las tres tienen que trabajas juntas para poder hacerle frente a la nueva amenaza del universo.

I can't believe I laughed so hard at this movie, I mean, not that it's a comedic masterpiece, but it has moments where all you can do is laugh and cry at how much you're laughing. I expected a slightly boring, possibly bad, slow, somewhat incohesive movie. It was not at all what I found, it can be a little slow at the beginning, but it is less hard than you might think because there is always something going on, something is always being done, so you don't have a movie with dead spots where boredom sets in.

About the villain, Dar-Benn, there's not much to say, she had every reason to want to destroy all the places she was destroying, you couldn't argue with her, well, yes you can argue with her to please not destroy planets and other places, but still, that's boring and takes the fun out of life, so I loved seeing her with her fixation of destroying the places Carol Denver valued the most, that was a nice touch, somewhat cliché, but good decision all in all. Dar-Benn wasn't going to be beaten out of his desire, so there was just something to do.

No puedo creer que me haya reído tanto con esta película, o sea, no es que sea una obra maestra de la comedia, pero tiene momentos en los que lo único que se puede hacer es reír y llorar de lo tanto que se está riendo. Esperaba una película ligeramente aburrida, quizás mala, posiblemente lenta, un tanto sin cohesión. No fue para nada lo que encontré, puede llegar a ser un poco lenta al principio, pero es dura menos de lo que podemos llegar a creer, pues siempre está sucediendo algo, siempre se está haciendo algo, entonces no se tiene una película con puntos muertos donde el aburrimiento se hace presente.

Sobre la villana, Dar-Benn, no hay mucho que decir, tenía toda la razón de querer destruir todos los lugares que estaba destruyendo, no se le podía discutir, bueno, sí se le puede discutir que por favor no destruya planetas y demás lugares, pero igual, eso es aburrido y le quita diversión a la vida, así que me encantó verla con su fijación de destruir los lugares que Carol Denver más valoraba, eso fue un buen toque, un tanto cliché, pero buena decisión al fin y al cabo. A Dar-Benn no se le iba a sacar su deseo ni con golpes, así que solo había algo que hacer.

Something I never expected, which was the least serious thing in the whole movie, was the planet that was more water than land where people instead of talking, sang, or rather, their way of talking was singing, my dog, was a total delight. For a moment I felt like I was watching a Disney princess movie and I was right in the middle where the best song of the whole movie is sung. That moment, that scene, that planet, my favorite, well, my second favorite moment of the whole movie, I know it may seem completely out of place to many people, but that makes it better because no one would have ever expected something like that to happen.

One of the things that can complicate watching this movie is Kamala Khan, she was introduced in a series, Ms. Marvel, a series that many people didn't watch because it was about teenagers, or at least with a teenage woman as the main character, and we already know how the world responds when the main character of a series or movie is not a man. Even though if you didn't watch the series, you don't know who Kamala is here, all that is explained perfectly in the course of the movie, besides, Kamala is the fucking GOAT, she is the soul of the movie and she is the one who makes it worth watching, really, without Kamala, without Iman Vellani, the movie would have been a total failure and it wouldn't entertain at all.

Algo que nunca esperé, que fue la cosa menos seria de toda la película, fue el planeta que era más agua que tierra donde la gente en vez de hablar, cantaba, o mejor dicho, su forma de hablar era el canto, my dog, eso fue una delicia total. Por un momento me sentí que estaba viendo una película de una princesa de Disney y justo estaba a la mitad donde la mejor canción de toda la película es cantada. Ese momento, esa escena, ese planeta, mi favorito, bueno, mi segundo momento favorito de toda la película, sé que a muchas personas les puede llegar a parecer completamente fuera de lugar, pero eso lo que lo hace mejor, porque nunca nadie hubiera esperado que algo así sucediera.

Una de las cosas que puede llegar a complicar el ver esta película es Kamala Khan, que ella fue presentada en una serie, Ms. Marvel, serie que mucha gente no vio porque era de adolescentes, o al menos con una mujer adolescente como protagonista, y ya sabemos cómo responde el mundo cuando quien protagoniza una serie o película no es un hombre. A pesar de que si no vieron la serie, no saben quién es Kamala aquí, todo eso se explica a la perfección en el transcurso de la película, además, Kamala is the fucking GOAT, ella es el alma de la película y es quien hace que merezca la pena verla, de verdad, sin Kamala, sin Iman Vellani, la película hubiera sido un fracaso total y no entretendría nada.

Now yes, my favorite scene of the movie, or what I liked most about the movie as such was that it has too many cats, or at least during a point in the movie there will be more cats on screen than people, and that will be the best thing in the world, Goose becomes a mother, or father, as they want to call it, and will have several dozens of kittens and kittens and kittens, and they will be the best thing in the movie, nobody can argue, and if you think so, it is because you have bad taste.

Here's the trailer, and it's just what the movie needed, no more, no less, so I like it. Expect a lot of jokes, Kamala is the soul of the movie, I won't get tired of saying it, and the post-credits scene is very wtf because we don't know what the fuck they are going to get out of it.

Ahora sí, mi escena favorita de la película, o lo que más me gustó de la película como tal fue que tiene demasiados gatos, o al menos durante un punto de la película va a haber más gatos en pantalla que personas, y eso va a ser lo mejor del mundo, Goose se convierte en madre, o padre, como les de la gana de decirle, y tendrá varias decenas de gatitos y gatitas y gatites, y serán lo mejor de la película, nadie puede discutirlo, y si lo piensan, es porque tienen el gusto malo.
