The Good Place | Eng-Esp | El Lugar Bueno | (recommendation)

Netflix is a wonderful world, at least for me. I've never been a person who has time to watch movies or series, but the future we live in was something I dreamed about for years, streaming platforms, and they have turned out to be better than I expected. I usually spend long seasons watching a series, and I actually watch series that have already concluded, because I hate waiting so long for a new season. Almost two years ago I watched a series on Netflix, it's called The Good Place, and although its ending was quite poor I can assure you that it has been one of my favorites; in fact I just finished re-watching it with my mom who hadn't seen it, and to my surprise we watched all 53 episodes in just one week 😵

Netflix es un mundo maravilloso, al menos para mí. Nunca he sido una persona que tenga tiempo de ver películas o series, pero el futuro en el que vivimos fue algo que soñé por años, las plataformas streaming, y han resultado ser mejor de lo que esperaba. Suelo pasar largas temporadas viendo una serie, y de hecho veo series que ya han concluido, porque odio esperar tanto para una nueva temporada. Hace casi dos años vi una serie en Netflix, se llama The Good Place, y aunque su final fue bastante pobre les puedo asegurar que ha sido una de mis favoritas; de hecho acabo de terminar de volverla a ver junto a mi mamá que no la había visto, y para mi sorpresa vimos los 53 episodios en solo una semana 😵

If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend it 100%, it is a very original script that has many surprises that are uncovered throughout the story. Regarding the inclusion of people of different traits is one of the best and nothing forced, in fact they have the luxury of making racist jokes and they do not look bad because its protagonists and other secondary characters have very distinctive features of all continents. It is a comedy that plays the theme of the afterlife, and although it is nothing like the ideas of the different religions, I find this new human point of view about heaven and hell interesting.

Si no la has visto aún, pues te la recomiendo 100%, es un guion muy original que tiene muchas sorpresas que se van destapando a lo largo de la historia. Respecto a la inclusión de personas de distintos rasgos es una de las mejores y nada forzada, de hecho se dan el lujo de hacer chistes racistas y no se ven mal porque sus protagonistas y otros personajes secundarios tienen rasgos muy distintivos de todos los continentes. Es una comedia que juega el tema de la vida en el más allá, y aunque no se parece en nada a las ideas de las distintas religiones, me parece interesante este nuevo punto de vista humano acerca del cielo y el infierno.

I don't want to do spoilers, just invite you to watch it if you haven't, but I will warn you that like many Netflix series and movies, I think they didn't try very hard in the final season, although it's not a bad ending either, it's just an ending and that's it. As a Christian it was a lot of fun to make comparisons about what I believe of the afterlife and how they paint it here. The first three seasons are wonderful and the last one a bit tiresome. It's a fresh, modern series, the episodes are 22 minutes or so, something I really appreciate and it has a lot of witticisms that kept me on my toes at every turn. A peculiarity about me since Netflix and other streaming platforms came into my life is that I don't watch repeated shows anymore, but this series is the second one I watch again, the first one was Dark, but well, Dark was necessary to watch even the same episode twice the same day 🤣 I don't tell you more, if you haven't seen it I invite you to add it to your list, and if you already watched it you can tell me in the comments if you liked it as much as I did or if you found it silly, because yes, not everyone likes it...

No quiero hacer spoilers, solo invitarlos a verla si no lo han hecho, pero les advierto que como muchas series y películas de Netflix, creo que no se esforzaron mucho en la temporada final, aunque tampoco es un mal final, solo es un final y ya. Como cristiano fue muy divertido hacer comparaciones sobre lo que creo del más allá y cómo lo pintan aquí. Las primeras tres temporadas son maravillosas y la última un poco cansona. Es una serie fresca, moderna, los episodios son de 22 minutos aproximadamente, algo que agradezco mucho y tiene muchas ocurrencias que me mantuvieron atento en cada momento. Una peculiaridad sobre mí desde que llegó Netflix y otras plataformas streaming a mi vida es que ya no veo programas repetidos, pero esta serie es la segunda que vuelvo a ver, la primera fue Dark, pero bueno, Dark era necesario ver incluso el mismo episodio dos veces el mismo día 🤣 No les digo más, si no la han visto los invito a agregarla a su lista, y si ya la vieron pueden decirme en los comentarios si les gustó tanto como a mí o si les pareció tonta, porque sí, no a todos les gusta...
