Esta es una película estrenada en el año 2007, dirigida por Kirsten Sheridan, este un largometraje que cuenta con una duración de 102 minutos se puede catalogar dentro del género de drama, además de reflejar una gran pasión por la música. Cuenta con un excelente reparto de actores el cual cuenta como protagonista a Freddie Highmore, y con las muy buenas actuaciones de Keri Russell, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Terrence Howard, Robin Williams, Marian Seldes, William Sadler, Mykelti Williamson y Leon Thomas.

Un niño huérfano y prodigio musical de 11 años de edad, es el fruto de un inesperado encuentro romántico entre un carismático joven irlandés, cantante de rock, Louis, y una joven y sobreprotegida chelista, Lyla. Cuando el destino separa a los amantes, dejando solo a August como estela, este es ingresado en un orfanato. August escapa de su orfanato emprendiendo un viaje en el que usa sus prodigiosos talentos musicales para encontrar a sus padres, de los cuales fue separado cuando era tan solo un niño, ignorando que ellos han iniciado un viaje similar para encontrarlo.

Esta historia nos habla de un joven prodigio musical, quien es el hijo de Louis, un joven y alocado guitarrista de una banda de rock, y Lyla una sobreprotegida violonchelista clásica, de una familia refinada. Estos al conocerse, comparten un encuentro romántico una mágica noche de verano en Nueva York. Debido a circunstancias desafortunadas la joven pareja es separada tras este breve encuentro, dejando como única estela a un niño, Evan, quien, por un engaño de su abuelo, es dado por muerto por su madre cuando ella sufre un accidente. Pero este es entregado a un orfanato, estando recién nacido.
This story tells us about a young musical prodigy, who is the son of Louis, a young and crazy guitarist in a rock band, and Lyla an overprotected classical cellist, from a refined family. When they meet, they share a romantic encounter on a magical summer night in New York. Esta es una película de Drama que involucra la increíble devoción de luchar por objetivos marcados en la vida, utilizando la increíble pasión por la música, como medio para lograr nuestras metas. De igual manera la sinfonía utilizada por cada uno de los instrumentos empleados, refleja la belleza de la música. Haciéndola un film cinematográfico que posiciona esta arte como una de las grandes razones de la vida.
Claramente no todos tenemos la misma opinión acerca de esta película, muy personalmente pienso que se pueden llegar a tener grandes éxitos a través de la música como medio para lograr nuestras metas en cualquier ambiente de nuestra vida. Si embargo es innegable el talento que se refleja en Evan para desenvolverse en este ambiente. Nos guste o no, la música siempre está presente en nuestras vidas para alentarnos a seguir a delante.
This is a Drama movie that involves the incredible devotion of fighting for goals set in life, using the incredible passion for music, as a means to achieve our goals. In the same way, the symphony used by each of the instruments used reflects the beauty of the music. Making it a cinematographic film that positions this art as one of the great reasons for life.
Clearly we do not all have the same opinion about this film, very personally I think that it can have great successes through music as a means to achieve our goals in any environment of our life. However, the talent reflected in Evan to function in this environment is undeniable. Like it or not, music is always present in our lives to encourage us to move forward.
