The theme of domestic violence was literally one of the focal points of the book. Why would they sweep it under the rug. CoHo gets a lot of hate and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it, but this movie adaptation is really not it.

The movie adaptation didn't do well. And for Coho's hate, different people have different reasons. She can't write to please everybody and it's sad that majority of readers dislike her books
