I recently watched a movie called "PLAYERS". From the name, I thought this is going to be a movie about a group of friends who go into relationships just for the fun of it and then maybe break up after 2 or 3 days. Well I was right to a point 😅.

PLAYERS is a 2024 romantic comedy film directed by Trish Sie, starring:

°Gina Rodriguez as Mack
°Damon Wayans Jr. as Adam

°Augustus Prew as Brannagan
°Joel Courtney as Little
°Liza Koshy as Ashley
°Ego Nwodim as Claire

It's a film about Mack, a New York sportswriter, her best friend Adam and their other friends Brannaganand Little(as they called him because he was Brannagan's little brother) who have lived their lives planning plays for hook-ups and it leads to a lot of one night stands.

This is literally what they do for fun and after their one night stand they get back together to do recaps, that's how oddly close they were. This goes on till one of them, Mack has a one night stand with a guy, Nick and decides to play him for keeps which has never been done by them before.

So they have to create a whole new play to get him. They get every little detail from his daily routine to where he works to who he meets/dates and how many times he goes on a date with a particular person. If it reaches a third time, they find a way to sabotage the date. After successfully coming up with a play, they get to work and finally Mack and Nick start dating.

Adam is able to get a girlfriend too but not with the help of his crew which surprises them but they are happy for him.

Mack isn't exactly honest with Nick while dating because she thinks that Nick is her ideal man and she wants to keep him by all means necessary. Adam sees this and is not comfortable or happy about it and he confronts her about it but she doesn't see it.

After thinking about it, Mack sees that Adam is right and ends the relationship with Nick only to discover that Adam broke up with his girlfriend too and is in love with her.

Mack doesn't believe it but discovers that the crew knew this too. She finds a way to reach out to Adam since they haven't talked to each other since their fight and makes up with him. She tells him that she is in love with him too.

I kind of hoped that Mack and Nick would end up together but Nick turn out not to be right guy for her and she and Adam really looked nice together. The film was actually more funny than it was romantic, I loved it a lot and I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't already watched it.

Recientemente vi una película llamada "JUGADORES". Por el nombre, pensé que esta iba a ser una película sobre un grupo de amigos que entran en relaciones solo por diversión y luego tal vez se rompen después de 2 o 3 días. Bueno, tenía razón en un punto😅.

Es una película sobre Mack, un deportista de Nueva York, su mejor amigo Adam y sus otros amigos Brannaganand Little (como lo llamaron porque era el hermano pequeño de Brannagan) que han vivido sus obras de planificación de la vida para las conexiones y lleva a muchas aventuras de una noche.

Esto es literalmente lo que hacen por diversión y después de su puesto de una noche vuelven a estar juntos para hacer recaps, así de extrañamente cerca estaban. Esto continúa hasta que uno de ellos, Mack tiene una aventura de una noche con un chico, Nick y decide jugar con él por fortalezas que nunca antes habían hecho.

Así que tienen que crear un juego completamente nuevo para conseguirlo. Obtienen cada pequeño detalle de su rutina diaria a donde trabaja a quien conoce / cita y cuántas veces sale en una cita con una persona en particular. Si llega a una tercera vez, encuentran una manera de sabotear la fecha. Después de tener éxito con una obra de teatro, se ponen a trabajar y finalmente Mack y Nick comienzan a salir.

Adam también puede conseguir una novia, pero no con la ayuda de su equipo, lo que los sorprende, pero están felices por él.

Mack no es exactamente honesto con Nick mientras sale porque cree que Nick es su hombre ideal y quiere mantenerlo por todos los medios necesarios. Adam ve esto y no está cómodo ni feliz por eso y él se enfrenta a ella al respecto, pero ella no lo ve.

Después de pensarlo, Mack ve que Adam tiene razón y termina la relación con Nick solo para descubrir que Adam también rompió con su novia y está enamorado de ella.

Mack no lo cree, pero descubre que la tripulación también lo sabía. Encuentra una manera de comunicarse con Adam ya que no se han hablado desde su pelea y se reconcilian con él. Ella le dice que ella también está enamorada de él.

Esperaba que Mack y Nick terminaran juntos, pero Nick resultó no ser el tipo adecuado para ella y ella y Adam realmente se veían bien juntos. La película era en realidad más divertida de lo romántico, me encantó mucho y se la recomendaría a cualquiera que aún no la haya visto.
