¡Hola amigos! Hoy les traigo la reseña de la segunda temporada de la serie El juego del calamar. No la quise ver de entrada cuando salió porque no estaba en el mood de series así que me tomé unas semanas y creo que estuvo bien para ir viendo otras producciones que tenía pendientes, pero finalmente llegó su turno y acá les comparto lo qué me pareció.

I didn't want to watch it right away when it came out because I wasn't in the mood for series so I took a few weeks off and I think it was good to see other productions I had pending, but finally its turn came and here I share with you what I thought of it.

En esta segunda parte seguimos a Seong Gi-hun, el ganador anterior, que regresa a Corea del Sur decidido a atrapar a la organización que está detrás de los juegos y acabar con ellos de una vez por todas. Para esto utiliza el dinero que ganó y contrata gente que esté atenta a los posibles movimientos que hagan. Hasta que da con ellos cuando están reclutando personas, pero estos se dan cuenta también y lo terminan atrapando primero. Ahora hará el trato de participar de nuevo en el juego con la intención de desmantelarlo desde adentro, pero muy pronto se dará cuenta que no es tan simple y que el ser humano puede transformarse en su peor versión cuando se trata de dinero.

In this second part we follow Seong Gi-hun, the previous winner, who returns to South Korea determined to catch the organization behind the games and put an end to them once and for all. To do this, he uses the money he won and hires people to keep an eye on their possible moves. Until he catches up with them when they are recruiting people, but they realize it too and end up catching him first. Now he will try to participate again in the game with the intention of dismantling it from the inside, but very soon he will realize that it is not so simple and that human beings can transform into their worst version when it comes to money.

No le tenía tanta fe a esta segunda temporada porque la primera estuvo muy bien y a veces hacer más temporadas termina desvirtuando el asunto, pero la verdad es que me sigue pareciendo entretenida y atrapante.

I didn't have so much faith in this second season because the first one was very good and sometimes making more seasons ends up distorting the subject matter, but the truth is that I still find it entertaining and catching.

El principio nos da un pantallazo de lo que es la vida de Seong Gi-hun tras su participación en los juegos pasados y cómo se obsesiona por tener alguna pista de esta organización. Al mismo tiempo que seguimos la recuperación del policía que pudo sobrevivir tras ser disparado por su hermano, este hecho me alegro un montón porque lo había dado por muerto. Además, nos muestra nuevos personajes con sus historias. Me resultó interesante tener un vistazo a una de las enmascaradas, ya que está bueno ver un poco acerca del otro lado de la historia.

The beginning gives us a glimpse of what Seong Gi-hun's life is like after his participation in the past games and how he becomes obsessed with getting a clue from this organization. At the same time we follow the recovery of the cop who was able to survive after being shot by his brother, this fact made me very happy as I had given him up for dead. Also, it shows us new characters with their stories. I found it interesting to get a glimpse of one of the masked women, as it's nice to see a little bit about the other side of the story.

Primero me pareció que la dinámica de los juegos iba a ser la misma, así que me alegro que hubiera juegos nuevos para variar un poco. También, y por desgracia, me encariñe con varios de los personajes nuevos y eso en esta serie es lo peor que podes hacer porque te la pasas con el corazón en la boca por si les pasa algo, pero también me cayeron muy mal otros como para equilibrar.

At first it seemed to me that the dynamic of the games was going to be the same, so I'm glad there were new games for a change. Also, and unfortunately, I got attached to several of the new characters and that in this series is the worst thing you can do because you spend it with your heart in your mouth in case something happens to them, but I also disliked others to balance it out.

No sé porque me sigue llamando la atención lo que es capaz de hacer el ser humano por un poco de dinero, no dejo de sorprenderme ni aunque se trate de ficción porque soy consciente que también es algo que podría pasar en la vida real también. Gente que es capaz de cometer los peores crímenes con tal de verse beneficiados, en vez de optar por el bien común y que todos terminen a salvo. Creo que es la serie ideal para desenmascarar las miserias humanas y mostrarnos esa otra cara que no sabíamos que podríamos tener.

I don't know why I continue to be struck by what human beings are capable of doing for a little money, I never cease to be surprised even if it is fiction because I am aware that it is also something that could happen in real life as well. People who are capable of committing the worst crimes in order to benefit themselves, instead of opting for the common good and for everyone to end up safe. I think it is the ideal series to unmask human miseries and show us that other side we didn't know we could have.

Lo único que tengo para reprochar es que no la hayan terminado y tengamos que esperar unos meses para ver como termina todo este enredo, si es que termina. Por lo demás me pareció que estuvo bien y logró mantenerme atrapada capítulo tras capítulo. Así que sí no la vieron se las recomiendo.
