Advantageous | Movie Review
I saw this movie a couple of days ago and I wanted to share it but it seemed strange to me and at the same time I feel like that's as far as we'll go.
Advantageous is a film that takes place in the future and focuses on the life of a woman, Gwen, who appears to be quite successful, as she presents herself as the face of a biochemical company.
Hace un par de días que ví esta película y quería decir compartirla pero me pareció extraña y al mismo tiempo siento que es hasta donde llegaremos.
Advantageous es una película que se sitúa en el futuro y se enfoca en la vida de una mujer, Gwen, quien parece ser bastante exitosa, pues se presenta como la imagen de una compañía bioquímica.

Unfortunately Gwen is just that, the image. In addition to the fact that she is also a single mother with a daughter who has a demanding education, to go to one of the best schools where she was accepted she will also have to pay a large amount of money.
Lamentablemente la Gwen es solo eso, la imagen. Además de que también es una madre soltera con una hija que tiene una educación demandante, pues para ir a uno de los mejores colegios dónde fue aceptada también deberán pagar una fuerte cantidad de dinero.

The murky thing about the situation is that everything was still very experimental and had not been tested before, so Gwen would be the first person to make this extreme change, leaving her body to enter another.
Gwen quiere hacer lo que es mejor para su hija, además de que no puede quedarse sin dinero, a raíz de varias acontecimientos, Gwen decide hablar nuevamente en la compañía con una propuesta que no podrán rechazar, y es que los procedimientos para los que Gwen era la imagen, se trataban de cambiar de cuerpo, es decir, dejar tu cuerpo para ingresar en otro más joven y sano. Gwen propuse hacer este cambio y que mejor formar de elevar la atención en el mercado que probando y demostrando que tu producto funciona. Lo turbio de la situación es que todo era aún muy experimental y tampoco había sido probado antes, así que Gwen sería la primera persona en hacer este cambio extremo, dejar su cuerpo para ingresar en otro.

The film is about the effort that a mother makes to be able to raise her daughter forward, but beyond that there is also criticism of society. And I say this with reasons because it was evident that what this company was really selling was beauty, leaving a body that you don't like for a more pleasant and younger one, even though they also commented that it could be for health, it is evident that the reasons are different when seeing the catalog of models that Gwen had to choose from to make her change, it was purely aesthetic. Furthermore, the ending is another reason to criticize these changes, which may not be what you expect or what they don't tell you, just with the intention of selling something. And I feel that it is not far from reality in a couple more years, if we can still live on earth.
La película se trata sobre el esfuerzo que una madre hace para poder sacar su hija hacia adelante, pero más allá de eso también está la crítica hacia la sociedad. Y esto lo digo con bases porque era evidente que esta compañía lo que estaba vendiendo realmente es la belleza, dejar un cuerpo que no te agrada por otro más agradable y más joven, a pesar de que también comentan de que puede ser por salud, es evidente que los motivos son otros al ver el catálogo de modelos por los que Gwen tuvo que escoger para realizar su cambio, fue puramente estético. Además el final es otro motivo más para dar una crítica con respecto a estos cambios que puede que no sean lo que esperas o lo que no te cuentan, solo con la intención de vender algo. Y siento que no está alejado de la realidad dentro de un par de años más, si nosotros podemos aún vivir en la tierra.
This is a nice review, it's been a while I watched movies like this. I hope Gwen gets the ability to assess her choices and finding an ethical path forward.
