I'm addicted to movies, those little moments where we don't have any months-long commitment but something casual for 2 hours or a little more and then we're free.
And I'm also addicted to teen movies, I still think I'm in my 18's and a teenager, I don't think I've fully transitioned into adulthood, even though this movie has scenes regarding sexual activity it's not very explicit either but having Keep in mind if you want to watch near a minor, it better be +16.
Soy adicta a las películas, esos pequeños momentos donde no tenemos ningún compromiso de meses sino algo casual de 2 horas o un poco más y luego somos libres.
Y también soy adicta a las películas juveniles, todavía creo que estoy en mis 18 años y soy una adolescente, creo que no he hecho por completo la transición a adulta, aunque esta película tiene escenas referentes a la actividad sexual tampoco es muy explícita pero tener en cuenta en caso de querer verla cerca de un menor, mejor que sea +16.

What I saw was a movie on Amazon Prime but several years ago I had heard about this novel and didn't know that it had been made into a movie, so I took the liberty of watching it. By the way, it's an adult romance novel by author Jamie McGuire.
I will be quite brief. It focuses on two characters Abby and Travis. In the film they explain to us that Abby has been a child gifted with skills for card games. She lived with her father in Las Vegas, he is a gambler who took his daughter to the casinos in Las Vegas since she was little, obviously all this was clandestine and incognito because minors are not allowed to enter those places, over the years, Abby became a card prodigal, she won many contests and is one of the best, unfortunately her father used her to earn money and one day she got tired and decided to hide away to another place without telling his father, all with the idea of being able to attend university and have a normal life.
Lo que yo ví fue una película en Amazon Prime pero hace varios años había oído acerca de esta novela y no sabía que la habían convertido en una película, así que me tomé la libertad de verla. Por cierto es una novela romántica para adultos de la autora Jamie McGuire.
Seré bastante breve. Se enfoca en dos personajes Abby y Travis. En la película nos explican que Abby ha sido una niña dotada de habilidades para los juegos de cartas. Vivió con su padre en Las Vegas, él es un apostador que llevaba a su hija desde pequeña a los casinos en Las Vegas, obviamente todo esto era de forma clandestina e incógnito porque los menores de edad no tienen permitido el ingreso a esos lugares, con el paso de los años Abby se convirtió en un pródigo de las cartas, ganó muchos concursos y es una de las mejores, lamentablemente su padre la usaba para ganar dinero y ella un día se cansó y decidió irse escondidas a otro lugar sin decirle a su padre, todo con la idea de poder asistir a la universidad y tener una vida normal.

On the other hand we have Travis, this guy smells trouble from a mile away. He is a boy who likes night fights, he says he does it to earn money, he is a heartthrob and in the novel he is a character who gets angry very often. In college he's very well known for being this tough, feisty guy.
Por otro lado tenemos a Travis, este chico huele a problemas desde una milla de distancia. Es un chico que le gustan las peleas nocturnas, dice que lo hace para ganar dinero, es un rompecorazones y en la novela es un personaje que se enfada con mucha frecuencia. En su universidad es muy conocido por ser este chico rudo y peleador.

They are both in the same university and their first meeting is in an underground fighting place called "The Circle" and I think it was pretty obvious that at first sight Travis fell for Abby, although of course she is a smart girl and after her first meeting investigated a little and knew that it was not convenient for her.
Ambos están en la misma universidad y su primer encuentro es en un lugar clandestino de peleas llamado "The Circle" y creo que fue bastante obvio que a primera vista Travis se enamoró de Abby, aunque claro ella es una chica inteligente y después de su primer encuentro indagó un poco y sabía que no le convenía.

Obviously since this is based on a romance novel, things get interesting in the movie when these characters meet again and make a bet. Among the things said is that if Travis loses he will have to spend a month without sexual relations but if he wins Abby will have to stay with him for a whole month.
Obviamente como esto se basa en una novela romántica, las cosas se ponen interesantes en la película cuando estos personajes se vuelven a encontrar y hacen una apuesta. Entre las cosas dicha quedan en que si Travis pierde deberá pasar un mes sin relaciones sexuales pero si gana Abby deberá quedarse con el todo un mes entero.

To see these movies, it is best to go prepared without expectations because it is only for mere entertainment, also despite the fact that it says that it is for adults to be more aimed at an audience of horny teenagers. Which I used to be very young, I plead guilty to, so this was a movie for my teenage self. This is like going to a fair, you go to entertain and that's it, there is no great narrative behind it, there are no great explanations or justifications, just fun.
Para ver estás películas lo mejor es irse preparado sin expectativas porque es solo para el mero entretenimiento, además a pesar de que diga que es para adultos para más estar orientada a un público de adolescentes cachondos. Lo cual yo solía ser de muy joven, me declaro culpable, así que esta fue una película para mí yo adolescente. Esto es como ir a una feria, vas para entretener y eso es todo, no hay una gran narrativa detrás, no hay grandes explicación ni justificaciones, solo diversión.

Yo leí el libro cuando estaba adolescente jajaja y me encantó la historia me atrapó, no confío mucho en las versiones de las películas y ya de una forma más madura puedo ver qué nada que ver con este tipo de historias, si son entretenidas pero nada recomendables para aplicarlo en la vida real.
