Sucker Punch | Movie Review
I like to talk about some old movies, for example this one that I am presenting below, I remember that the first time I saw it, I was still living with my mother and I was a teenager, I remember turning on the TV and half the movie had already happened, at first I thought that were characters from a video game but it was not like that.
Sucker Punch is about a girl who is sent to a psychiatric institution and it is her stepfather who sends her there. In that place she often goes to an alternate world.
Me gusta hablar sobre algunas películas viejas, por ejemplo esta que estoy presentando a continuación recuerdo que la primera vez que la ví, todavía vivía con mi mamá y era una adolescente, recuerdo poner la tv y ya había ocurrido media película, al principio pensé que se trataban de personajes de un vídeojuegos pero no fue así.
Sucker Punch trata de una chica que es enviada a una institución psiquiatra y es su padrastro quien la envía allí. En ese lugar ella muchas veces se va a un mundo alterno.

The story really shows us a little how she has suffered abuse from her stepfather, in the first instance we see a scene where this man tries to attack her and when he cannot succeed he goes after her sister, here a misfortune occurs because the babydoll's sister ends up dying and with this the excuse for her to be hospitalized, although illegally, since the stepfather forges the signature of a psychiatrist.
Realmente la historia nos muestra un poco como ella ha sufrido abusos por parte de su padrastro, en una primera instancia vemos una escena donde este hombre trata de atacarla y al no poder lograrlo vas tras la hermana, aquí ocurre una desgracia pues la hermana de babydoll (la protagonista) termina muriendo y con ello la excusa para que ella sea internada aunque de una manera ilegal, ya que el padrastro falsifica la firma de un psiquiatra.

In this place she begins to imagine things, first she fantasizes that she is in a brothel where they want to sell her virginity and at the same time she is inside another fantasy as if it were an alternative world where to escape she must kill demonic samurai, she every time delves deeper into this world in the hopes of gathering objects to make her great escape.
Ella en este lugar empieza a imaginarse cosas, primero fantasea con que está en un burdel donde desean vender su virginal y al mismo tiempo está dentro de otra fantasía como si fuera un mundo alternativo donde para escapar ella deberá matar a samurai demoníacos, ella cada vez se adentra más en este mundo con la esperanza de reunir objetos para lograr hacer su gran escape.

After seeing it several times, this film has made me think about how hard and traumatic some experiences must be for other people that their only salvation is to go to another world, to immerse themselves in their minds looking for an escape. At first I hadn't seen it like that but after you realize that in her imagination she thinks she is looking for tools and maps to escape from a supposed brothel, you realize that she decided to trap herself inside her head and reality no longer exists.
I think that more than watching a movie is the message it transmits and understanding that there are situations that take people to a state beyond our understanding, where reality becomes very suffocating and discouraging, and the only thing that can free us from that is us, ourselves trapped in our minds, fighting an internal struggle, fighting to win the battle and wake up to reality.
Honestly it seems like a superficial film but it really is a diamond in the rough, and it is not easy to understand, I had to watch it at least twice without losing any detail to know what it was.
Esta película después de verla varias veces me ha hecho pensar en que tan duro y traumático deben ser algunas experiencias para otras personas que su única salvación es irse a otro mundo, sumergirse en su mente buscando una escapatoria. Al principio no lo había visto así pero después que te das cuenta de que ella en su imaginación piensa que está buscando herramientas y mapas para escapar de un supuesto burdel, te das cuenta de que ella decidió atraparse dentro de su cabeza y la realidad ya no existe.
Creo que más que ver una película es el mensaje que transmite y comprender que existen situaciones que llevan a las personas a un estado más allá de nuestra comprensión, dónde la realidad se vuelve muy sofocante y desalentadora, y lo único que puede liberarnos de eso somos nosotros mismos, atrapados en nuestra mente, dando una lucha interna, peleando para ganar la batalla y despertar en la realidad.
Honestamente parece una película superficial pero realmente es un diamante en bruto, y no es fácil de comprender, yo la tuve que ver al menos dos veces sin perder ningún detalle para saber lo que era.
Tienes razón, a primera vista puede parecer una película superficial, pero hay una profundidad y una riqueza emocional que se revela cuando uno se toma el tiempo de analizarla con detenimiento. A mi me gustó! Buena reseña!
Así es, la verdad es que hay que estar muy atentos a la película
Se siente que es traumatica, caotica y entretenida. Que te internen, estes sano y empieces a enloquecer debe ser horroroso. Solamente querras salir de ahí huyendo.
Por alguna extraña razón, recordé cuando mi mamá me quería internar en un colegio de monjas y yo me resistí con todas mis fuerzas.
Pero sí, realmente terrible y traumatico
la primera vez que la vi no entendía nada jeje pero ya luego puede analizar y comprender lo que en verdad sucedía, excelente reseña!
