The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes | Movie Review
I thought the Hunger Games trilogy would end all the movies featuring Jennifer Lawrence. I don't have much knowledge of the world of entertainment and cinema because, believe it or not, I'm not that active on social media, but for me it was a surprise to see that this film was released last year.
Pensé que la trilogía de los juegos del hambre terminaría con todas las películas donde sale Jennifer Lawrence. No tengo mucho conocimiento del mundo de la farándula y el cine porque aunque no lo crean, no soy tan activa en las RRSS pero para mí fue una sorpresa ver qué el año pasado se estrenó esta película.

This movie really explains the beginning of everything and the life of President Snow, it's a prequel, I really wasn't expecting it. Not everyone knows this but I was a crazy fan of this trilogy, the first moment I found out about these books I read them super excited and I couldn't wait for the next books and I thought that everything was over but NOOO until 2020 that they released another book, the emotion overwhelms me.
One thing that I find interesting is that my generation made this whole thing about making movies based on books for teenagers quite famous and these were really the highest-grossing movies, and it's something that I think to this day they try to continue doing even though many of them fail and do not achieve stardom. An example of them are the "after" books that I really liked but the movies are 🤢. I make this comment because I think that this was the case when releasing another book and another movie, squeezing more juice out of us adults who still believe we are teenagers and cling to that nostalgia, remembering what we were and what we loved, for example this saga.
I found the story of President Snow surprising, however I feel that it lacked more life and more juicy details. Here they show us how a good and noble soul becomes the most hated of all the 12 (13) districts.
Esta película nos explica realmente el inicio de todo y la vida del Presidente Snow, es una precuela, yo realmente no la esperaba. No todos saben esto pero yo fui una fanática loca de esta trilogía, en el primer instante que me enteré de estos libros los leí súper entusiasmada y no podía esperar por los siguientes libros y pensé que hasta ahí todo había acabo pero NOOO hasta el 2020 que sacaron otro libro, la emoción me desborda.
Una cosa que me parece interesante es que mi generación hizo bastante famoso todo este tema de hacer películas basadas en libros para adolescentes y estas fueron realmente las películas más taquilleras, y es algo que creo que hasta el día de hoy tratan de seguir haciendo aunque muchas de ellas fallan y no alcanzan el estrellato. Un ejemplo de ellos son los libros de "after" que me gustaron mucho pero las películas son 🤢. Hago este comentario porque pienso que fue este caso al sacar otro libro y otra película, exprimirle más el jugo a nosotros los adultos que aún nos creemos adolescente y nos aferramos a aquella nostalgia recordando lo que éramos y lo que amabamos, por ejemplo esta saga.
La historia del presidente Snow, me pareció sorprendente sin embargo siento que le faltó más vida y más detalles jugosos. Aquí nos muestran como un alma buena y noble se convierte en el más odiado de todos los 12 (13) distritos.

Snow, who wanted to win fairly in life, realizes that people will do the impossible because things are not like that. It is assumed that at 18 years of age he would be chosen with one of the best qualifications and would win something that he had pursued so much, until that same day he realizes that things would no longer be so easy and that now 24 students from Panem had to be mentors for the districts' tributes.
Snow quien quería ganar limpiamente en la vida, se da cuenta que las personas harán hasta lo imposible porque las cosas no sean así, se supone que a sus 18 años de edad sería elegido con una de las mejores calificaciones y ganaría algo que tanto había perseguido, hasta que ese mismo día se da cuenta de que las cosas ya no serían tan fáciles y que ahora 24 estudiantes de Panem debían ser mentores de los tributos de los distritos.

Snow certainly had to be a mentor to a girl from the poor district 12, the reason for these games now would be to put on a good show to continue with the annual games. Snow seemed hopeless with his tribute, however here we see all the things he is willing to do to not lose.
Ciertamente a Snow le tocó a una chica del pobre distrito 12, la razón de estos juegos ahora sería dar un buen espectáculo para continuar con los juegos anuales. Snow parecía no tener esperanza con su tributo, sin embargo aquí vemos todas las cosas que está dispuesto hacer para no perder.

One of the phrases that President Snow always used was that "the things we love most are the ones that destroy us" in this movie they give meaning to this phrase, however, they seem like pure excuses, at first they present Snow as a soul good thing that is rotting little by little but I believe that that evil was always inside him, hidden, waiting to come out. Do you believe that something like evil is carried in the blood?
Una de las frases que siempre dijo el presidente Snow fue que "las cosas que más amamos son las que nos destruyen" en esta película le dan un sentido a esta frase, sin embargo, parecen puras excusas, al principio presentan a Snow como un alma buena que se va pudriendo poco a poco pero yo creo que esa maldad siempre estuvo dentro de él, oculta, esperando salir. ¿Ustedes creen que algo como la maldad se lleve en la sangre?

I liked the movie but from what I explained at the beginning, because it makes me nostalgic but nevertheless I feel that the lack of details is something that could have killed the movie, I feel that it lacked more juice because believe me there is no nothing more delicious than watching a movie with all the interesting and important parts of your favorite book and that in the end they will end up doing justice to the story, although I think it fulfilled what the title itself promises and we see who are the songbirds and who are the snakes.
A mí me gustó la película pero por lo que expliqué al principio, porque a mí me da en la nostalgia pero sin embargo siento que la falta de detalles son algo que pudieron matar la película, siento que le faltó más jugo porque créanme que no hay nada más delicioso que ver una película con todas las partes interesantes e importantes de tu libro favorito y que al final terminarán haciéndole justicia a la historia, aunque creo que cumplió con lo que promete el mismo título y vemos quienes son las aves cantoras y quiénes las serpientes.

Me gustó mucho esta precuela aunque al final sí no lo entendí muy bien o más bien no estuvo de todo correcto pero sí estuvo bastante entretenida.
Comparto tu opinión, parece ser abierto. Aunque cabe destacar que este libro lo sacaron en el 2020, mucho después... Qué fue de Lucy ?

Y bueno,la vi.Al inicio se me hizo un poco bastante lenta y ñense que seria una tortura por su duracion,la primera cancion me sorprendio y pense "por favor que no sea un musical" (amo el genero pero no es facil hacerlo bien).
Quede como con sentimientos encontrados con esta pelicula.Todo lo tecnico me parece hermoso,muy diferente la estetica de las anteriores,de verdad te hacen sentir que todos estos acontecimientos ocurren en el pasado.Pero me parece que el protagonista quedo un poco corto,no senti empatia por él en ningun momento,no senti ese cambio radical,para mi siempre fue malo,como tú dices.Y el final fue medio mehhh sera que hacen una secuela de la precuela?si le fue bien en taquilla no me extrañaria
Es verdad, el personaje no te produce nada. Desde un principio lo ves como malvado, quizá porque traemos los recuerdos del Presidente Snow ya viejo, pero nunca lo veo ser bueno. De hecho, sabemos que iba a hacer lo que pudiera para ganar desde un principio. Luego que se haya enamorado de Lucy fue algo pero al final, terminó revelando la forma ya que se veía desde el inicio 🤷🏻♀️ la maldad siempre estuvo ahí
