Tierra de Osos, o también conocida como Brother Bear, es una película animada que nos regala una increíble historia, reflejada en los asombrosos paisajes de Alaska, en una época en que los lugareños se dividían en tribus, y contaban con una cultura bastante apegada a lo espiritual.

Esta película nos narra la historia de Kenai, un joven que acaba de cumplir su mayoría de edad, y esto en su cultura significa que va a recibir un tótem, el cual deberá respetar para así poder considerarse un hombre, siendo esto lo que el mas desea, que lo dejen de ver como un niño y lo empiecen a tratar como un hombre. Sin embargo, tras un inesperado suceso relacionado con un oso, su hermano Sitka, se sacrifica para poder la salvar la vida de sus hermanos Kenai y Denahi. Pero Kenai al sentirse derrumbado, busca asesinar al oso para vengar la muerte de su hermano, y tras lograrlo, el espíritu de su hermano Sitka lo trasforma en un oso. En su travesía como un animal peludo, conoce a un pequeño oso llamado Koda, el cual lo acompañara en su viaje de búsquedas y respuestas.

Y en resumen de esto se trata Tierra de Oso, un contexto bastante fresco desde mi punto de vista. Todo este tema de los tótem, y la cultura que manejan en la aldea, me encanto. Se podría decir que este es el equivalente a lo que las personas consideran hoy en día su espíritu animal. A parte, considero que lo representaron muy bien, colocando lo que simboliza cada animal, el oso el amor, el águila el líder, etc.

Sinceramente me encantaron mucho esas escenas en las que aparece el águila, dejando bien claro que es Sitka, observando a sus hermanos. Y me parece un muy bonito detalle, como el águila aparece de repente, viendo todo desde las alturas. Debo decir que, casi todo lo que rodea esta película me encanto, las tribus, como conviven los animares entre sí, y lo espiritual y místico que rodea a los muertos representado visualmente de una manera hermosa.
Honestly, I really loved those scenes in which the eagle appears, making it very clear that it is Sitka, watching his brothers. And it seems to me a very nice detail, how the eagle appears suddenly, seeing everything from above. I must say that I loved almost everything that surrounds this film, the tribes, how animares coexist with each other, and the spiritual and mystical that surrounds the dead represented visually in a beautiful way.

Detalles de la historia / story details
Hablando un poco su historia, me parece muy buena en realidad, los primeros minutos de esta película, son suficientes para conocer a los tres hermanos y ver su relación. De igual manera, se toman su tiempo de seriedad, momentos cómicos de explicación, y musicales, como toda buena película de Disney. Al final los conflictos de los personajes, se resuelven de una manera lógica con un final poco cliché, ya que al final, Kenai se queda como oso, y cada especie en su habitad.
Talking a little about his story, it seems very good to me actually, the first minutes of this film are enough to meet the three brothers and see their relationship. In the same way, they take their time seriously, humorous moments of explanation, and musicals, like any good Disney movie. In the end, the conflicts of the characters are resolved in a logical way with a slightly cliché ending, since in the end, Kenai remains as a bear, and each species in its habitat.

Desde mi punto de vista, me gusta más así, lo considero mucho más realista. Ya que, al principio nos dejan bien en claro que osos y humanos no se llevan bien. Si al final hubiese ocurrido que osos y personas terminan conviviendo justos, se hubiera sentido muy repentino y conveniente. Pero el final de esta peli, evade esto a la perfección y cierra la historia de una manera más que convincente. Dejándonos una historia con buenas enseñanzas, que no se llega a sentir pesada, y con un concepto más que interesante.
From my point of view, I like it better that way, I consider it much more realistic. Since, at first they make it very clear to us that bears and humans do not get along. If in the end it had happened that bears and people ended up just living together, it would have felt very sudden and convenient. But the end of this movie evades this perfectly and closes the story in a more than convincing way. Leaving us a story with good teachings, that does not feel heavy, and with a more than interesting concept.

Siguiendo con la descripción de nuestro personaje, podemos ver como este si consigue su venganza, pero aun así grita de la desesperación, ya que en el fondo sabe que parte de la culpa la lleva el, y que matar al oso no le devolverá a su hermano. Pero una vez que se transformó en oso, conoció a Koda, y observo el punto de vista que tienen los animales hacia los humanos. Logrando cambiar un poco su manera de pensar, y más aún cuando logra ver a su hermano Denahi consumido por la venganza, dándose cuenta que, así se veía el cuando intentaba matar a la mama oso.

Otro punto importante es, como al principio se ven los ojos de los animales completamente oscuros, como si no tuvieran vida. Me encanta como la película muestra el punto de vista de los animales, como en algunas otras animaciones, pero con la gran diferencia de que aquí, se ven los dos puntos de vista, el de las personas y el de los animales. I love how the movie shows the point of view of the animals, like in some other animations, but with the big difference that here, you see both points of view, the one of the people and the one of the animals. But it also makes another thing clear, a human who has nothing but hate and revenge in his heart, is much more savage than any animal, and an animal who has only love in his heart is more sensible than any human.

Por otro lado, tenemos a Koda, él es el lado inocente de esta película, ayudo a mostrar bien como se ve el humano desde ojo animal, y a pesar de enterarse de la verdad de su madre, el logro perdonar a Kenai, porque el tiempo que paso con él, fue suficiente para entender porque hizo lo que hizo, y supo que cometió un error. En conclusión, el también vio a kenai como un hermano, y pudo perdonarlo. Una de las cosas que más me conmovió, fue el reencuentro de Koda con el espíritu de su madre, es algo que le ablanda el corazón a cualquiera. A parte este personaje tiene un gran carisma, siendo bastante adorable la verdad, regalándonos varias partes graciosas.

Ahora tenemos a Denahi, su descripción es bastante parecida a la de kenai, es una buena personificación de lo que le hace la venganza a las personas. Al final también logro cumplir con su tótem, y tuvo la sabiduría para aceptar el camino que decidió tomar su hermano menor. El resto de los personajes están muy bien, no son los más destacables de la historia, pero cumplen bien su papel, y eso para mí es más que suficiente.

Animación / Animation
Hay otras cosas que también destacan en esta increíble película y primero es, la animación. Desde mi punto de vista es una animación más que preciosa, ya desde la primera escena de la montaña, fue algo que me dejo sin palabras. La animación 3D podrá ser bastante realista y menos tardada, pero lo que logra hacer con animación 2D no tiene comparación, creo que es la película con animación en su mayoría 2D más hermosa que he visto.

Banda sonora / Soundtrack
Pasando a la banda sonora, debo decir que, como toda obra de Disney, esta película también se encuentra a la altura. Las melodías de tribu nativas están muy bien trabajadas, y quedan bastante bien de acuerdo al tono que se manejan, aparte de que las canciones son muy buenas. Es casi imposible que hubiera canciones malas teniendo a Phil Collins, ya que en varias animaciones como Tarzan, sus canciones tuvieron mucho éxito. Una de las que más tuvo impacto en esta película fue: En marcha estoy, es bastante pegajosa en realidad jeje.
Turning to the soundtrack, I must say that, like all Disney work, this film is also up to the task. The native tribe melodies are very well crafted, and they fit quite well according to the tone they handle, apart from the fact that the songs are very good. It is almost impossible that there were bad ones having Phil Collins, since in several animations like Tarzan, his songs were very successful. Opinión general / General opinion
En conclusión, tierra de osos es una película buenísima, aun cuando no tuvo un gran éxito en taquilla. Ya que en ese momento las animaciones 3D tenían un mayor impacto, no digo que las películas con animación 3D sean malas, al contrario, las considero muy buenas también. Pero la realidad es que debido a esto, grandes joyas como estas pasaron un poco desapercibidas.
In conclusion, land of bears is a great movie, even if it was not a great success at the box office. Since at that time 3D animations had a greater impact, I'm not saying that 3D animated movies are bad, on the contrary, I consider them very good too. Esta película nos deja un mensaje hermoso, unos personajes increíbles. Toca temas tan serios como puede ser la venganza, la perdida, y la madures. Sumándole a esto una historia bien trabajada con un concepto deslumbrante, una animación increíble, y una banda sonora más que decente, dándonos como resultado Tierra de osos, una película buenísima, de las que Disney ya no hace.
