Del 7 al 9 de noviembre 2023 fue Adopting Bitcoin 2023 https://adoptingbitcoin.org/2023/ en San Salvador en el país de Bitcoin, El Salvador.
Bitfinex, con quien tengo el gusto de colaborar desde hace más de un año, es uno de los principales patrocinadores del evento, y aprovechan el evento para reunir a gran parte del equipo y realizar reuniones y eventos.
Entre las conferencias, programas en vivo, paneles, también hubo la muestra de la película documental "Don´t Trust, Verify" realizada por Bitfinex.
A través de entrevistas, eventos, grabaciones y diversas escenas, esta película retrata el desarrollo de Bitcoin en El Salvador después de la Ley Bitcoin y en la región.

Con la Ley Bitcoin, El Salvador se convirtió en el primer país en el mundo en adoptar el Bitcoin como moneda de curso legal en el país, reconocida por el Gobierno y el Banco Central. Siendo las monedas del país Dólar americano y Bitcoin.
Esto ha atraido inversión, turismo, nuevas empresas y una nueva industria, pero también retos que ya enfrentaba el país y que son necesarios para la adopción, como conectividad, educación, capacitación y gente especializada o que se especialice para poder aprovechar estas oportunidades localmente.
Escenas desde El Zonte o Bitcoin Beach hasta una fiesta VIP de Bitfinex en la Embajada de México en El Salvador que tuve el gusto de organizar. En esta fiesta estuvieron presentes el Vicepresidente de El Salvador Felix Ulloa, el Embajador de México en El Salvador, Ricardo Cantú y el actual CEO de Tether y CTO de Bitfinex Paolo Ardoino. Junto con Mariachi y mezcales, y muchos invitados especiales para una gran reunión.
Mucha gente aún duda del uso, casos de uso y adopción de Bitcoin, pero yo al igual que Bitfinex he tenido la oportunidad de verlo, vivirlo y construirlo por poco más de 10 años.

Si aún no has viajado a El Salvador, y eres usuario, emprendedor, inversionista, empresario o educador de Bitcoin o blockchain, es un destino que algún día tienes que conocer y conviene realizarse en este tipo de eventos, donde se facilita conocer gente, conocer que están haciendo y realizar alguna potencial alianza o negocio.

From November 7th to 9th 2023 the event Adopting Bitcoin 2023 took place https://adoptingbitcoin.org/2023/ in San Salvador, Bitcoin country, El Salvador.

With the Bitcoin Law, El Salvador became the first country in the world to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender in the country, recognized by the Government and the Central Bank. The currencies of the country being the American dollar and Bitcoin.
This has attracted investment, tourism, new companies and a new industry, but also challenges that the country was already facing and that are necessary for adoption, such as connectivity, education, training and people who specialize in order to be able to take advantage of these opportunities locally.
