[Movie review] [Eng | Esp] Captain America: Brave New World

Bienvenidos mis queridos capitanes viajeros del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, cómo sabrán tengo una relación amor/odio con los filmes de superhéroes debido a que la gran mayoría de sus representantes actuales deja mucho que desear, no obstante, siempre le daré una oportunidad al género y es por ello que me dispuse a ver "Captain America: Brave New World" principalmente porque la idea de llevar al Red Hulk a la pantalla grande me parece sumamente llamativa. Sin más que agregar prepárense para lanzar sus escudos pues estamos por comenzar.
Captain America: Brave New World was released this year, directed by Julius Onah, produced by Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures, has a duration of 1 hour and 59 minutes. It is an action film and superheroes, the story focuses on Sam Wilson assuming the mantle of Captain America, this is obliged to work with Thaddeus Ross because he was elected as the new president of the country, the latter has wishes to try to make various nations work together to be able to progress better and prepare for the future struggles that humanity should face, however, however, a master mind begins. The soundtrack is fine in general, it is not something transcendental or anything that resembles it, in the best case it serves as a pleasant accompaniment but out of that it does not contribute much to be said.
La banda sonora está bien en líneas generales, está no resulta en algo trascendental ni nada que se le asemeje, en el mejor de los casos funge como un acompañamiento agradable pero fuera de eso no aporta mucho que se diga.
The construction of the world is striking, at first it attracts the attention that the context is conditioned by the events of previous films, this gives a very pleasant feeling of continuity, in turn, it is given a look at how the governments of the world try to deal with all the disaster that has been generated by the various misfortunes they have had to face, it is not the big thing but at least it makes the world React to the various events.
La construcción de mundo es llamativa, en un primer momento llama la atención que el contexto se encuentra condicionado por los eventos de filmes anteriores, esto le da un sentimiento de continuidad muy agradable, a su vez, se le da un vistazo a como los gobiernos del mundo tratan de lidiar con todo el desastre que se ha venido generando por las diversas desgracias que han debido de afrontar, no es la gran cosa pero por lo menos hace que el mundo se sienta vivo y reaccione a los diversos sucesos.
The plot is something meh and boring, the above is because the threat is very alien and unimportant, not due to lack of dramatic moments but because they feel badly developed. Narratively is the usual, a villain with little presence begins chaos and the heroes must stop it, the fights are not very interesting, they are entertaining but they lack the impressive factor so that they can supply the deficiencies of the tape with action, in this the fight against the Red Hulk enters which it is supposed to be the main approach although unfortunately it has less than 20 minutes on the screen and it feels like a sale of magistral smoke. This cluster of errors causes the film to have quite bland times where it becomes very monotonous to see.
La trama es algo meh y aburrida, lo anterior se debe a que la amenaza se siente muy ajena y poco importante, no por falta de momentos dramáticos sino por el hecho de que se sienten mal desarrollados. Narrativamente es lo de siempre, un villano con poca presencia inicia el caos y los héroes deben detenerlo, las peleas no son muy interesantes, las mismas son entretenidas pero les falta el factor impresionante para que puedan suplir las carencias de la cinta con acción, en esto entra la pelea contra el Hulk rojo la cual se supone que era el enfoque principal aunque lamentablemente tiene menos de 20 minutos en pantalla y se siente como una venta de humo magistral. Este cúmulo de errores hace que la película tenga ratos bastante sosos en donde se hace muy monotona de ver.
The characters are quite forgettable, the protagonist's main approach feels like a badly done rehash of what was exposed in the character of the character, in turn, a dilemma is added about having or not powers that do not finish fitting with the character and feels badly developed, on the other hand, there are several characters that die or experience situations that can potentially end their lives, the problem with this is that they are individuals that are individuals. They cross they do not make the viewer feel affinity for them. The villain is quite inconsequential, it has a large potential to cause immeasurable chaos but ends up being extremely delayed so it fails to consolidate that image of imposing that is intended to be generated; Espósito on the other hand is an extremely competent actor who despite having few appearances if he manages to convey that previously mentioned presence, it takes place only because of the actor's capabilities since the plot does not give it an important use for what he feels as more wasted potential.
Los personajes son bastante olvidables, el principal enfoque del protagonista se siente como un refrito mal hecho de lo que se expuso en la serie del personaje, a su vez, se le añade un dilema sobre el tener o no poderes que no termina de encajar con el personaje y se siente mal desarrollado, por otro lado, hay varios personajes que mueren o experimentan situaciones que potencialmente pueden acabar con sus vidas, el problema con esto es que son individuos desconocidos por lo que las dificultades que atraviesan no hacen que el espectador sienta afinidad por estos. El villano es bastante intrascendente, el mismo tiene un potencial grande para causar un caos inconmensurable pero termina siendo sumamente retardado por lo que no logra consolidar esa imagen de imponencia que se intenta generar; Espósito por su parte es un actor sumamente competente que pese a tener pocas apariciones si logra transmitir esa presencia mencionada previamente, la misma tiene lugar únicamente por las capacidades del actor puesto que la trama no le da un uso importante por lo que se siente como más potencial desperdiciado.
Captain America: Brave New World is a tape that makes mistake after error; It fails to generate situations of tension, to give an interesting predicament to its protagonist who does not feel like a rehash, and, the biggest sin, not to take advantage of Red Hulk to show a magnificent devastation that does justice to the character. It is for all the above that it deserves 2 stars of 7, it has some good times but the abundance of mistakes is too much to let it pass, the fact that it has several static moments that do not contribute anything to the premise does not help you at all but at least it is moderately digestible.
Captain America: Brave New World es una cinta que comete error tras error; fracasa en generar situaciones de tensión, en darle un predicamento interesante a su protagonista que no se sienta como un refrito, y, el pecado más grande, no aprovechar a Red Hulk para mostrar una devastación magnífica que le haga justicia al personaje. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 2 estrellas de 7, tiene algunos buenos momentos pero la abundancia de desaciertos es demasiada para dejarlo pasar, el hecho de que tenga varios momentos estáticos que no aportan nada a la premisa no le ayuda en absoluto pero por lo menos es medianamente digerible.
