[Movie review] [Eng | Esp] Zodiac
Welcome my dear serial killers of the internet and thank you very much for having made a temporary stop in my post, I have always maintained that reality is stranger than fiction, the previously mentioned being the reason why many films based on real events can disturb to the core, today brings us together the film titled "Zodiac" which focuses on the hunt for a serial killer who managed to successfully evade the authorities for years. Without further ado, get ready to decipher various enigmas because we are about to begin.
Bienvenidos mis queridos asesinos seriales del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, siempre he mantenido que la realidad supera la ficción, siendo lo previamente mencionado la razón por la que muchos filmes basados en hechos reales pueden perturbar hasta el tuétano, hoy nos reúne la cinta titulada "Zodiac" la cual se enfoca en la cacería de un asesino serial que logró evadir exitosamente a las autoridades por años. Sin más que agregar prepárense para descifrar diversos enigmas pues estamos por comenzar.
Zodiac was released in 2007, it is based on the true stories of the book of the same name published in 1986 and the book "Zodiac Unmasked" of 2002, both written by Robert Graysmith, directed by David Fincher and produced by Phoenix Pictures, it has a duration of 2 hours and 47 minutes. It is a police drama film, the story focuses on the murders committed by the psychopath called Zodiaco and all the investigation that was carried out to find him in the late 60s and early 70s, being a career that put to run to the police and the newspapers to prevent the number of deaths at the hands of the deranged murderer from increasing.
Zodiac fue estrenada en 2007, se encuentra basada en los relatos reales del libro homónimo publicado en 1986 y del libro "Zodiac Unmasked" de 2002, ambos escritos por Robert Graysmith, dirigida por David Fincher y producida por Phoenix Pictures, cuenta con una duración de 2 horas y 47 minutos. Es un filme de drama policíaco, la historia se centra en los asesinatos cometidos por el psicópata llamado Zodiaco y en toda la investigación que hubo para dar con él llevada a cabo a finales de los 60 e inicios de los 70, siendo una carrera que puso a correr a la policía y a los diarios para evitar que aumentase el número de fallecidos a manos del desquiciado asesino.

The construction of the world is good, throughout the film it is possible to transport the viewer to that time where the printing press and conventional media served as a crucial element for the functioning of society, and, through this section, it is achieved convey this importance. On the other hand, the social sphere is pleasant because it shows collective intrigue and uncertainty due to the impunity with which the murderer acted, this being a fairly accurate representation of said impact on society.
La construcción del mundo está bien, a lo largo del filme se logra transportar al espectador a esa época en dónde la imprenta y los medios de comunicación convencionales fungían como un elemento crucial para el funcionamiento de la sociedad, y, mediante este apartado, se logra transmitir dicha importancia. Por otro lado, el ámbito social es agradable debido a que se muestra una intriga e incertidumbre colectiva debido a la impunidad con la que actuaba el asesino, siendo esto una representación bastante acertada de dicho impacto en la sociedad.
The plot has a slow pace, throughout the film all the small advances and setbacks of the case are gradually shown, thus reflecting all the ups and downs that the investigation had and transmitting it in an excellent way. Narratively it is pleasant, the film tries to capture in the best possible way everything frustrating that a police investigation, legal processes and so on can be, at the same time, it makes the viewer interested in the case and its resolution. . The duration may seem excessive, however, it uses all that time to properly immerse the viewer in the case, as well as give some focus to those who are behind its trail and the impact that the case had on their lives.
La trama posee un ritmo lento, a lo largo del filme se van mostrando paulatinamente todos los pequeños avances y retrocesos del caso, reflejando de esta forma todos los altibajos que tuvo la investigación y transmitiéndolo de forma excelente. Narrativamente es agradable, el filme trata de plasmar de la mejor forma posible todo lo frustrante que puede llegar a ser una investigación policial, los procesos legales y demás, a su vez, logra que el espectador se interese por el caso y la resolución del mismo. La duración puede parecer excesiva, sin embargo, utiliza todo ese tiempo para poder empapar de forma correcta al espectador en el caso, así como también el darle cierto foco a los que están detrás de su pista y el impacto que tuvo el caso en sus vidas.
The characters are good, a good job is done in making them feel human because they all present different problems as a result of trying to solve the case, this makes their representation in the film quite well constructed. Outside of the above there is not much more, the film decides to focus more on the premise than on its characters, something quite correct, however, it does not mean that this section is not somewhat abandoned.
Los personajes están bien, se hace un buen trabajo en hacerlos sentir humanos debido a que todos presentan diferentes problemas producto de intentar resolver el caso, esto hace que su representación en el filme quede bastante bien construida. Fuera de lo anterior no hay mucho más, la cinta decide enfocarse más en la premisa que en sus personajes, algo bastante acertado, no obstante, no significa que este apartado no quede algo abandonado.
Zodiac is a film that is not for everyone, it requires patience since it represents in a good way all the complications and dead ends that exist in a police investigation, in addition, even its ending leaves a feeling of dissatisfaction since it is not, as such, a happy ending, it is in short a slow film that captures the most realistic side of a police detective and those people who decide to immerse themselves in an open case regardless of all the consequences that this brings. It is for all the above that it deserves 3.5 stars out of 7, if you like the slow development of a police investigation and all the other elements that this implies, this is without a doubt a film that you should not miss seeing.
Zodiac es un filme que no es para todo el mundo, requiere paciencia puesto que representa de buena forma todas las complicaciones y puntos muertos que existen en una investigación policial, además, incluso su final deja una sensación de insatisfacción puesto que no es como tal un final feliz, es en síntesis un filme lento que plasma el lado más realista de un detective de policía y de aquellas personas que deciden sumergirse en un caso abierto sin importar todas las consecuencias que esto traiga. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 3.5 estrellas de 7, si te gusta el desarrollo lento de una investigación policial y todos los demás elementos que esto implica, esta es sin lugar a dudas una película que no debes dejar de ver.

Tienes razón al decir que la película es un poco lenta. Es verdad. La vi en su momento, pero es algo de lo que recuerdo. Al ver tu reseña me han despertado las ganas de volverla a ver, y más que éste film ha servido como referencia para algunas producciones más nuevas. Creo que la buscaré. Saludos @jrjaime
Es un filme pensado para disfrutar como construye su narrativa de forma lenta más que para una emoción pasajera, es por ello que si disfrutas más del viaje que el punto final de llegada disfrutaras el verla nuevamente.

Esta es una buena película, a pesar de que sea algo lenta como dices, cuenta la historia de un asesino serial muy interesante. La vi empezando el año, aún me parece un excelente film.
Es un filme que requiere paciencia, aunque en líneas generales está bien
Es una historia bastante injusta, de las últimas investigaciones, se cree ubicado el asesino, que murió tranquilamente de viejo y la familia del sospechoso, no permite pruebas de ADN para verificar o descartar al difunto.
En YouTube, entre tantos canales de programas, la narración de: relatos del lado oscuro, "el asesino del zodiaco", está descrita de forma bastante amena y detallada la historia de ese caso.
Es uno de los canales, que más serios y entretenidos he seguido
Hola despues de un tiempo mi estimado, suena interesante saber lo que pasó con el resto de la historia, sin lugar a dudas le daré un vistazo después.
