Bienvenidos mis queridos amantes de los parques del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, Cartoon Network es un canal que ha producido absolutas joyas de la animación que marcaron un antes y un después, en su momento hable de Adventure Time como uno de esos aciertos excelentes, pero hoy le toca el turno a otra serie que no tiene nada que envidiarle que es ni más ni menos que “Regular Show”. Sin más que agregar prepárense para enfrentarse a toda clase de locuras pues estamos por comenzar.

Es una animación de comedia y aventura, la historia se desarrolla en un parque en donde trabajan Mordecai y Rigby un par de amigos que les encanta flojear, jugar videojuegos y divertirse de formas muy absurdas, durante sus jornadas siempre existe alguna clase de situación o problema que deben solucionar siendo que cada vez que esto sucede se termina convirtiendo en algo completamente absurdo, loco, sobrenatural y/o extraño, por lo que este par de amigos deberán resolver dicho inconveniente para poder conservar sus trabajos siendo que en más de una ocasión necesitaran la ayuda del resto de trabajadores del parque.

La duración no es un problema, sus episodios de poco más de 10 minutos son muy digeribles y divertidos siendo a su vez que el carácter autoconclusivo de sus primeras 6 temporadas hace posible el poder verla sin necesidad de seguir una continuidad especifica lo que le da un sentido muy ameno, divertido y relajado.

Narrativamente no hay mucho que destacar, como mencione previamente la serie sigue un patrón de mostrar historias absurdas y exageradas que destacan por su creatividad, siendo que el problema que tiene la serie es esto último, a lo largo de la misma se puede denotar cierto desgaste en donde en sus temporadas finales había muchas continuaciones de capítulos o reutilización de conceptos lo que le restaba merito debido a que su encanto se encuentra en el estilo sobre sustancia, y, si el estilo comienza a repetirse el encanto comienza a perderse, afortunadamente no es un completo desastre por lo pese a que algunas cosas se sienten repetitivas en sus últimas temporadas por lo menos sigue teniendo capítulos que le sacan un poco las castañas del fuego; La penúltima y última temporada son las excepciones a la regla debido a que mantienen un mismo tema y una trama relativamente continua, esto no es un completo desastre pero si es evidencia del desgaste que mencione previamente y la necesidad de la serie de tratar de innovar para tratar de mantenerse fresca, no son un completo fracaso dichas temporadas pero si se nota un bajón de creatividad y de los sin sentido que caracterizaban a las temporadas previas, a su vez, este afán de intentar pasar de un formato pseudo episódico a continuo produce que existan muchas incoherencias bastante notorias.

Pese a que pueda sonar contradictorio, esto también es molesto en algunos casos, el más notable es la insistencia en explorar los intereses amorosos de Mordecai algo que en reiteradas oportunidades deja al personaje como un ser bastante patético e indeciso lo que termina cansando. Fuera de lo anterior, se puede decir que en líneas generales la serie tiene un número reducido de personajes que los trabaja bien en la mayoría del tiempo.

Es por todo lo anterior que merece 4.5 estrellas de 7, sin lugar a dudas es una animación que aquellos que les guste la música ochentera y lo absurdo deben darle una oportunidad sin importar la edad.
