Ambos se conocen tras la muerte del padre de Özlem y establecerán una relación matizada por los conflictos individuales e historias de vida marcadas por el dolor y en especial el amor hacia la interpretación del violín.

Con esta actuación, lejos de sembrar vivencias negativas en los espectadores, creo que el actor logra sensibilizar al público poniendo de resaltando la dimensión humana de Mehmet.

In my opinion, Engin Altan Düzyatan achieves with his interpretation, to show that not always behind an apparent success is the satisfaction of our main needs. He brings to light the idea that, on many occasions, haughty, self-centered behavior, etc. hides a pain with which the individual is unable to cope. With this performance, far from sowing negative experiences in the audience, I believe that the actor succeeds in sensitizing the audience by highlighting Mehmet's human dimension.

Por otro lado, aparece Özlem. Con esta interpretación Gülizar Uray nos presenta a una niña de ocho años que ha crecido en un ambiente con muy pocas reglas de disciplina. La mayor parte de su vida ha transcurrido tocando y bailando en las calles y tabernas de Estambul, junto a su padre y amigos. Se nota cierto aire “salvaje” en ella, falta de civilidad y de las más elementales normas de educación que supuestamente un niño de esa edad debe estar aprendiendo. Sin embargo, en estas condiciones ha aprendido la importancia de la amistad como valor fundamental para el bienestar de las personas.

Se nos muestra a una niña que tal vez por la convivencia entre adultos y por el ritmo de vida que lleva ha alcanzado un nivel de madurez inusual para su edad. Aun así, mantiene la inocencia característica de esta etapa de la vida. Hay una escena que me encanta. Después de un conflicto con su tío, este la encuentra tocando una melodía melancólica con el violín y le pregunta por esa melodía. Ella responde: “si sabes mirar a las personas escuchas su melodía”. On the other hand, Özlem appears. With this interpretation Gülizar Uray introduces us to an eight-year-old girl who has grown up in an environment with very few rules of discipline. Most of her life has been spent playing and dancing in the streets and taverns of Istanbul, with her father and friends. There is a certain "wild" air about her, a lack of civility and the most elementary rules of education that a child of that age is supposed to be learning. However, in these conditions she has learned the importance of friendship as a fundamental value for the well-being of people.

We are shown a girl who, perhaps because of the coexistence among adults and the pace of life she leads, has reached a level of maturity unusual for her age. Even so, she maintains the characteristic innocence of this stage of life. There is a scene that I love. After a conflict with her uncle, he finds her playing a melancholy melody on the violin and asks her about that melody. She replies, "if you know how to look at people you hear their melody". The uncle asks her whose melody it is and she answers that it is his melody".

Durante la convivencia con la niña, la esposa de Mehmet, Suna (interpretada por Belcim Bilgin) decide adoptarla sin consultarlo con su esposo. During the film, more conflicting situations occur that allow us to understand the essence of each character and the motives that have brought them to this point. Although it could be a predictable ending, the plot makes the viewer experience an accumulation of emotions that can become contradictory in relation to the characters. Furthermore, although this film shares the characteristic of other Turkish productions in which the architectural and natural beauty of the country is flaunted, in my opinion the producers manage to make them take a back seat to the story that is presented to us.
