Except for the crypto crash, it was a quiet weekend, at least here in my hometown. Sure, it is cooler today at an uncomfortable 89 degrees Fahrenheit, but the sun still looked more like a giant magnifying glass above the city. It's hot but I'm not complaining. There are other places worse off. The heat really affects people. Not only physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. We should be wary of the heat lest we get heat stroke or worse.

FOMO or FUD

So, the weekend was an eventful time for crypto holders and enthusiasts. The hype surrounding the 100K Bitcoin had died down, at least for now. It doesn't help that the volatile situation in the middle east is brewing up to a boiling point. Let us hope and pray that things de-escalate and a path to peace is forged. Wishful thinking, but miracles do happen.

Stacking up on Hive is a given at these lower prices, but isn't HBD a better option? With the 20% APR still in play, we will be getting significant passive income from HBD in Savings versus risking the value to drop with liquid Hive or HP.

Depending on the point-of-view this could be a FOMO or FUD moment. Personally, I'm biased long-term on Hive in general to really pick up and do some upward movements in the near future, but the data might be against me on this, as shown in this excellent post by @adamada, "Red Market and On Chain Data. Sorry for the long-winded introduction. Moving on...

Solo Leveling

For those of you who have not yet watched, Solo Leveling is a 2024 Anime series about a low-ranked Hunter (warrior with special magical abilities), who unexpectedly got stronger in a world where upgrading is not normal. The hunter's main job is to battle monsters who come out of magical dungeons and prevent the monsters from invading the world.

The character of Sung Jinwoo was established early on as a hunter who had grown accustomed to being a weak and insecure person, but who also needs to be able to provide for his family as the sole breadwinner. The transition from the weak Jinwoo to the strong Jinwoo is captured nicely in the 12 part Netflix series.

Of course, this was the first time that I had heard of this story. Being a casual fan and not delving deeply into the anime world for stories, such as this. The anime was well made and a distinct style used in creating the series. The fight scenes, the color scheme used, the dialogue all made sense, and, in my view, comes together nicely. It's beauty lies in the fact that the complex characters can be easily identified and connect with each other. They were able to simplify the characters. The world-building was great. I found it to be just at the right spot in striking a balance between reality and the magic world. The monsters were familiar, but they weren't the only antagonist. Of course, the bad guys were present, bringing with them the usual characteristics associated with foes in a story.

Overall, I would rate this highly and recommend that you watch it. It's not a drag to watch as episodes are only 23 minutes long, and the 12 episodes for season 1 can be a nice weekend watch. So, that's it for my take on the anime series entitled "Solo Leveling". This is the 2nd time I watched it and it's still a good time for me and I hope that you will enjoy it too.
