^{Hello dear Movies and tv Show community, this is my first post in this community and I wanted to start by making a recommendation for this weekend of a Korean series that I saw a month ago and I was really impressed, not only for the plot but for the acting quality, the clean scenes, the work of the actors and all the post production of the series. If you like k-drama stay until the end and if you don't, it's about time you start watching this kind of series because they are on fire.}

^{The Glory is a South Korean drama that premiered in late 2022 and finished its 16-episode season in March 2023. Starring Song Hye kyo as Moon Dong-eun, Lim Ji Yeong as Park Yeo-jin and Lee Do-Hyun as Ju Yeo-jeong, it is a drama about revenge that unfolds from school to adulthood of its characters. Its protagonist is scarred by the twisted mind of Yeo-jin, who mistreated her cruelly at school, Dong-eun seeks help but does not receive the necessary answers so she decides to come up with a plan that she will carry out once they grow up where they cross paths again.}

^{Screenwriter Kim Eun-Sook was inspired by a conversation with her daughter about bullying at her school and also had several conversations with young people who have been bullied to make this extraordinary series covering topics ranging from bullying, suicide, different types of addictions, human cruelty and empathy}

^{This drama can be a bit dense to digest, being a dark and revengeful story that not only harms the protagonist to the point of only thinking about her revenge, but also shows the injustices that exist in our real world for having a more benefited socio-economic position, making more people take advantage of their power to cause irreversible damage to others, which is not far from the reality that we live constantly, perhaps in "milder" ways but always with the particular distinction that he who has more is considered to have enough power to humiliate those who have nothing.}

^{The characterizations and performances of all the characters are impeccable, both those who play the young version and those who play the adults throughout the series. My favorites are undoubtedly the main characters Dong-eun and Yeo-jin, I feel that both express very well the emotions they want to convey, sarcasm, malice, and especially the characteristic laughter of Yeo-jin, I am impressed by Dong-eun the stillness she had to learn to manifest for so many years of aggression, hidden pain, fear of physical contact and anger in his eyes, as well as develop a cold and calculating mind to develop his revenge left me stunned. However, I consider that all the cast acted in an impeccable way, the emotions of rage, surprise, incomprehension, pain, anger, deceit are just a few of all that can be enjoyed on the screen.}

^{The wardrobe I feel that I was at all times in concert, combining with the personality of all the characters just like the makeup, about all the work they did to reflect the marks of the protagonist simply impeccable.}

^{The development of the story, the betrayal, the delirium, the old age and of course the romance subtly suspended in the atmosphere are reasons why it definitely does not let you detach from the screen or at least that's what happened to me. I think for being a South Korean series with a different plot to what I'm usually used to see from them, which are usually k-dramas of romance, it left me spellbound until the last chapter, it is totally worth watching.}

^{The message of this drama beyond everything, I think it is the value of being able to respect us all as human beings without distinction of social class, something that is very marked in the Asian continent, the so-called bullying not only brings consequences to the victims but also to the people who are around them making them commit inappropriate acts against a person for the simple fact of being "economically different", the psychological damage behind the threats insults and how socially we are conditioned to believe that because someone else has money can treat us or belittle me as he wants.}

^{I also believe that abuse is something that marks us forever, regardless of who it comes from, sometimes it is not only strangers but also our own family can make us feel less, for not being like they want us to be or for the simple reason that their personality is to always despise people. Making the victims grow up with insecurities, pain, anger, sadness, and revenge feelings that at the same time consume you and also end up hurting you, but how can you forgive so many abuses? It is complex to let go and move on.}

^{We also appreciate the falseness of society in pretending perfect lives with twisted pasts and many times we admire people whose lives are totally unknown to us and we do not know if they are showing us their true identity, being people who are capable of doing anything to keep their lives intact and perfect.}

^{I think this is one of the best Asian productions I've seen (and I've seen a lot) the narrative of the series and making it short chapters makes it even more digestible, because it goes to the point and do not add so many extra stories to lengthen the central theme of the story. I recommend you to watch it subtitled because it is definitely completely different when you have the voice in the background with its original tonal expressions.}
