Rediscovering The Magic Of Movies: Anipurush- A Cinematic Journey Worth Watching

I was once a movie freak. The most amusing thing about it was how I could sit down the whole day watching different movies on my phone. Or I could sit in front of the Tv watching movies for hours without moving an inch. Staying up every night to watch movies became my daily routine. I was once a fan of different genres of movies; comedies, tragedies, fiction, everything. Sadly, everything changed when I got to the university- books took over. I care about my grades, so rather than watch movies all night, I read instead. Now that I’m on break I made a promise to watch as many movies as I can.
Yesterday, one of my hive friends told me about an Indian movie. She sent an image of the movie to me and what got my attention is the cover image. The main actor (protagonist) of the movie is one of my favorite Indian actors- Prabhas- he starred as Bahubali in the famous Indian movie- Bahubali. I fell in love with the movie when I saw the cover photo and discovered that my favorite actor is the main character, so I decided to download it. The duration of the movie is 2 hours, 58 minutes, and 29 seconds. I didn't sleep until I had completed it. I felt like myself once again, it was as if I reconnected with my old self.
Adipurush is an Indian movie starring famous Indian actors and actresses such as Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Devdatta Nage, Saif Ali Khan, and others. This movie takes viewers on a profound exploration of magic, fantasy, love, revenge, the quest for power, music, and dance. Of course, you'd expect every Indian movie to explore music and dance- it's their culture.
Firstly, I must mention that Indians are great movie producers. I started watching Indian movies when I was really young- those days when The Three Idiots had just been produced, and with the movies I've seen, I can attest to the fact that Indians are great movie producers. Adipurush is not left out. It is yet another Indian movie that is way above par. Although Indian Movies are known for their excessive use of exaggeration, isn't that what we love? Okay, to be frank, these people take actions too far, but in actuality, let's bow to them when it comes to action.
The image my friend showed me gave me a foreshadowing that the setting of the movie would not be in the city, but a village and that the movie would explore elements of magic. I was right. Unlike most modern Indian movies, ADIPURUSH is set in a village-like place or you could say a mountain-like place, but the plot never diverted to a city. The use of magic also made me glued to it. Magic, although not excessively used, was used by Prabhas who starred as Raghava, Devdatta Nage who starred as Bajrang, Saif Ali Khan who starred as Lankesh, and some other characters. To a point, the use of magic was excessively used by these characters.
Another notable and interesting thing about Adipurush is its characters. The movie uses human and animal characters. I don't think there are up to 10 human characters in the movie, the others are animals who significantly contribute to the narrative. Even Devdatta Nage played the role of a monkey who has supernatural powers. When I checked the cast of this movie, I was expecting to see Saif Ali Khan as a hero or someone that would help the protagonist to achieve his goals, but I was surprised when I saw that his role is to play the villain. His flaws made him meet his fall, creating a resolution.
Kudos to Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan, they really played their role well. These two are the Hero (protagonist) and Villain (antagonist) respectively and they made sure there were no lapses in their acting.
This movie is fiction, and fictions often contain elements of reality. The most notable element of reality is love. We could see in the movie how Ragav tries to rescue his wife from the demon king, Lankesh.
I checked online and saw some awful comments about this movie. I guess we all see things from different perspectives. Take it from me, this movie is a mus-watch. If you're a movie lover, then you should see it. However, there are some lapses in this movie. I feel some characters should’ve played their role better. Kriti Sanon did a pretty good job, but there were some lapses in her role. The absence of blood is also another thing to take note of. I mean, how would you stab a person multiple times and not see a single drop of blood? The make-up department (I guess) is to blame for that. I rate this movie a 7 out of 10.

Tbh the CGI in adipurush had disappointed me on another level . Saif Ali Khan's Ravan and his rotating heads didn't look like ravan like it wasn't scary i felt nothing i had expected alot more from the movie tbh
Hehe. Yeah, I'm not gonna lie, the rotating heads weren't scary at all- that part didn't move me.
This was also my routine that I always watch movies but now I have made exit from the gate but will watch this movie.
Hehe. I hope you find time to watch this one.
7/10 isn't so bad after all, I find it hard to see Indian movies but maybe I'll give this a try since it's recommended by Favour 😁
Nice review, well done dear.
Eiii. My Mhizsmiler is here. Thanks to Princess and fox for telling me about this movie. I hope you find time to watch it.
So far , all the Indian movies I have watched weren’t bad. It’s been a while I watched any Indian movie so I guess I’ll give this a try.😅
Hi, Nhaji. Thanks for stopping by. I really hope you give this movie a try.
I also saw very bad reviews of this movie on the internet, as it is based on a sacred Indian story, an epic, called "The Ramayana" and I think some Hindus were offended to see "the bad job" they had dedicated to a sacred scripture. I love these stories because I am of the religion I will do Krishna, and it is not easy to bring these stories to the screens, whatever they do, I think no one can manifest in the cinema the majesty of these sacred books and their descriptions. But I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Hello. A friend of mine of Hive says this movie is just a dubbed version of Ramayana. I've not seen Ramayana do I don't know how true this is. Thanks for stopping by.

I kinda like when I enjoy a film that others seem to dislike. I read what people dislike about it and find things that I enjoyed. It's quite interesting to see that difference.
Yeah, there's always this great feeling of excitement when you enjoy watching a movie that your friends dislike.
