It’s been long since I wrote a movie review, but guess what? I’m back, and today I’m excited to talk about an Indian movie I just watched called Sarfira.

It was released july this year. As a huge fan of Akshay Kumar, I knew this movie was a must-watch for me. I have watched him act in sooryavanshi,If you’ve seen him in that movie and some other movies you’ll know how good he is, and trust me, sarfira is no different.

What’s the Movie About?

So, Sarfira is all about this guy, Mir, who’s got big dreams. He wants to start his own airline that would make flying affordable for everyone across india easier.

But here’s the thing that became an obstacle—he is from a poor family and he comes from this small village with no electricity, hospital or basic services, and as you know, it’s not exactly the ideal starting point for such an ambitious dream.

Mir hits roadblock after roadblock, trying to get a loan from more than 24 banks, but no one believed in his vision and accepted his idea even after trying to so many times. Then, just when things seem impossible, his family arranges a potential marriage for him with a girl who, like him, has faced tons of rejection (over 20 men have turned her down and has refused to get married to her.

But this girl is no pushover. After a short chat that lasted for about 2 hours, Mir decides he wants to marry her because she’s smart ,outspoken and is all he wants in a lady . But instead of jumping into marriage, she says, “No, let’s focus on chasing our dreams first.” She wants to open her own bakery, and she insists they can get married later—after they’ve achieved what they want.

Fast forward to a few years later, and she’s running a successful bakery while Mir is still struggling to find someone in the airline industry who can help him achieve his dream. Will Mir ever make his dream come true despite all the hurdles and obstacles that would come his way? Will they eventually get married? You’ll have to watch to find out!

What I Loved

The movie is more than just action—it’s got romance, comedy, and some deep, heartfelt moments. I found myself really invested in Mir’s journey and the relationship between him and the girl. I loved the character of the girl because she was very bold and she doesnt mind correcting her parents if she sees they are in the wrong. Plus, there’s some great comic relief, especially from Mir’s friend back in the village who, was a bit annoying and also stupidly funny.

One thing that threw me off, though, was the time jumps in the story. At first, it was a bit confusing when they flashed back to 1998, but as the movie progressed, everything started to make sense and it became easier for me to understand the storyline properly.

Akshay Kumar, as always, delivered a top-notch performance. The whole cast did a fantastic job, and their chemistry was great and fantastic. Each scenes made sense but seriously, I couldn’t help but laugh out loud at some scenes, especially the funny moments that broke the tension.

What i didn't like

Okay, I have to admit, the random song and dance sequences didn’t quite work for me. I know it’s a Bollywood thing, but sometimes it felt a bit forced and too much on my own side. I guess it’s just because I don’t understand the language fully, even after downloading the English subtitle. With that being said, they were visually beautiful and danced perfectly. I’m sure fans of Bollywood will appreciate them more than I did.

Final Thoughts

All in all, Sarfira was a good watch. It’s got action, heart, and a decent amount of laughs. If you like movies that mix ambition, romance, and a little humor, you’ll probably enjoy this one. I don’t usually watch movies about the aviation industry, but I was hooked by this one. I’d give it a solid 7/10.

So, if you’re looking for something a little different but still classic Bollywood, i"ll advice you give Sarfira a try.

Thanks for reading.
