What is your favorite scary movie?
Probably all of you have heard this phrase while watching Screm movies. While the first film in the series was extremely successful, later there was a veritable parabola for the series, although the great comeback came in part 4 (director Wes Craven did not live to see the next ones), but for a long time the brand was swept under the rug, until suddenly in 2022 we get a reboot, sequel and it turns out to be an extremely interesting pop culture creation. I even admitted myself in my review that they did a great job with the film although it hinged some silliness.

2023 brings us the 6th installment in the series and it plays with its convention like no other film, while trying to be serious and aware of what it is.

The 6th part starts with a rather iconic opening scene, that is, with the sacrifice, and here the script makes the first flick, because we don't get the usual monothematic scene, but building tension and a sudden twist is all about the sacrifice( I'm surprised that only in this part someone came up with the idea to do something so contradictory, and at the same time being the opening scene.
The main characters are the well-known Tara Sam sisters from the previous part, who miraculously survived Ghostface's attack.

While one of the sisters wants to lead a youthful life, the other is trying to overcome the traumas that took place a year earlier.
Everything is watered down by rumors that openly suggest that the murderer may have been one of the sisters.

Bad luck has it that the murderer is back in town, and he has a rather peculiar plan that wants to destroy both sisters, and at the same time ask What's Their Favorite Scary Movie.

And this time we get a lot of meta thoughts on the whole series( Slash in this series) and how to behave to avoid death. It blatantly mocks the stupidity of slasher characters, although it shows that people like it and does the same tricks that work.

The film is not revealing although the finale in my opinion is interestingly realized here so the intrigue is limp in places and suffers from "everything must be better" syndrome.

The film surprised me positively, it went a step further and not only do we get the end of the plot, but rather the end of the whole series ( if another one is made it will already be stretched so much that it will be hard to watch)

It is good to watch, the action is brisk, and the characters are different enough that we can remember what they do( yes I have trouble remembering names).

The main motive of the murderer in this part, unfortunately, did not appeal to me, although the execution and intrigue itself is done at a high level and you can feel the mystery here, until the very end, and the suspects are all there.

It's a good film and less violent than the previous part ( yes the film mocks the fact of the brutality of the films and brings two characters to life at the end ;D ) so it's worth watching to see how the series will end and how it will reach the breakthrough ending we've been waiting for from the beginning.

This is the first film where the main character of the series does not appear, but even without her the intrigue grows with every second.
Of course, the film could have been even better and the mocking of conventions could have been done more sublimely rather than openly laughing in our faces, nevertheless, the film is one of a kind and surprisingly does not continue to eat its tail despite the fact that it is already the 6th part.

I recommend this is a softer thriller with a great finale, an interesting bookmark and unfortunately a medium theme, meaning there is something for everyone here.

Jaki jest Twój ulubiony straszny film?
Pewnie każdy z was słyszał to zdanie oglądając filmy Screm (Krzyk). O ile pierwszy film z serii był niezwykle udany, tak później była istna parabola dla serii, choć wielki powrót nastąpił w części 4 ( kolejnych już nie dożył reżyser Wes Craven) to jednak na długi czas marka została zamieciona pod dywan, aż nagle w 2022 dostajemy reboot,sequel i okazuje się niezwykle ciekawym tworem popkulturowym. Nawet sam przyznałem w mojej recenzji, ze swietnie im wyszedł film choć zawitał pewne głupoty.

2023 przynosi nam już 6 cześć z tej serii i jak żaden inny film bawi się swoją konwencja, a przy tym stara się być poważny oraz jest świadomy czym jest.

6 już cześć zaczyna się dość ikonicznym rozpoczęciem sceny czyli od ofiary i tutaj scenariusz robi pierwszy fikołek, gdyż nie dostajemy zwykłej monotematycznie sceny, a budowanie napięcie oraz nagły zwrot akcji jest chodzi o ofiarę( jestem zaskoczony, ze dopiero w tej części ktoś wpadł na pomysł by zrobić coś tak przeczącego, a jednocześnie będącego scena otwarcia.
Głównymi bohaterkami są znane siostry Tara Sam z poprzedniej części, które cudem przetrwały atak Ghostface’a.

O ile jedna z sióstr chce wieść młodzieńcze życie, tak druga stara się przezwyciężyć traumy jakie miały miejsce rok wcześniej.
Wszystko podlewają plotki, które jawnie sugerują, ze morderca mogła być jedna z sióstr.

Pech chciał ze w mieście znów grasuje morderca i ma dość specyficzny plan, który chce zniszczyć obie siostry, a przy tym zapytać Jaki Jest Ich Ulubiony Straszny Film.

I tym razem dostajemy dużo meta przemyśleń na temat całej serii( Cięcie w tej serii) oraz jak zachować się by uniknąć śmierci. Jawnie wyśmiewa głupoty bohaterów slasherow, choć pokazuje ze ludzie to lubią i robi te same chwyty, które sie sprawdzają.

Film nie jest odkrywczy choć finał moim zdaniem jest tutaj ciekawie zrealizowany tak intryga miejscami kuleje i cierpi na syndrom „wszystko musi być lepsze”

Film zaskoczył mnie pozytywnie, poszedł o krok dalej i nie tylko dostajemy zakończenie wątku, ale raczej zakończenie całej serii ( jeśli powstaje kolejna będzie już tak mocno naciągnięta, ze będzie ciężko oglądać)

Ogląda sie go dobrze, akcja jest wartka, a bohaterowie są na tyle różni, ze potrafimy zapamiętać czym sie zajmują( tak mam problem z zapamiętywaniem imion).

Główny motyw mordercy w tej części niestety nie przemówił do mnie choć samo wykonanie oraz intryga jest zrobiona na wysokim poziomie i czuć tutaj zagadkę, aż do samego końca, a podejrzani są wszyscy.

Jest to dobry film i mniej brutalny niż poprzednia cześć ( tak film wyśmiewa fakt brutalności filmów i ożywia dwie postacie pod koniec ;D ) wiec warto obejrzeć by zobaczyć jak skończy się ta seria i jak dojdzie do przełomowego końca na który czekaliśmy od samego początku.

To pierwszy film gdzie nie pojawia się główna bohaterka serii, ale nawet bez niej intryga rośnie z każda sekunda.
Oczywiście film mógłby być jeszcze lepszy a wyśmiewanie konwencji mógłby bardziej zrobić wysublimowanie niż jawnie nam śmiać się w twarz, mimo to film jest jedyny w swoim rodzaju i ku zaskoczeniu nie zjada dalej swojego ogona pomimo, ze to już 6 częśc.

Polecam jest to łagodniejszy thriller z świetnym finałem, ciekawa zakładka i niestety średnim motywem, czyli każdy tutaj coś znajdzie.
