Animations can vary - some are better, while others can be quite poor. However, sometimes an animation emerges that breaks into the mainstream and meets everyone's expectations. Even the first trailer suggested certain changes to the familiar appearance of the plumber and the absence of the iconic voice, which, in my opinion, turned out to be a positive move.

The storyline of the Super Mario Bros film revolves around two plumber brothers who have limited demand for their services. When they do get some work, misfortune follows them, and everything around them ends up in ruins. The film intriguingly portrays how Mario and Luigi find themselves in magical worlds.

The biggest strength of this production lies in its humor and references to the games, as well as its interesting approach to the character of the princess. The film is like a compilation of well-known elements from various Mario games, including the ones involving go-karts. In terms of the plot, it remains quite linear, and the finale doesn't offer any surprises.

Undoubtedly, the execution and humor are on a high level, but there are moments that leave a bit of dissatisfaction. Unfortunately, the ending disappointed me as it lacked more action. It's not a bad animation, but it doesn't reach the level of the Minions (yes, it's the same studio that created them), where the humor sometimes soared while other times fell flat.

Devoting an hour and a half to watching this film can bring satisfaction. However, as it nears its end, it becomes increasingly evident that the animation creators ran out of ideas and began relying heavily on well-known Mario game motifs. Despite the flaws related to the finale, I recommend this film. Children will enjoy the magic filled with various effects and the likable character of Mario, while older viewers will experience a nostalgic twinge from the days when they played Mario on consoles.

Animacje bywają różne - jedne są lepsze, inne trafiają się bardzo złe. Jednak czasami pojawia się animacja, która przebija się do mainstreamu i spełnia oczekiwania wszystkich. Już pierwszy zwiastun sugerował pewne zmiany w znanym wyglądzie hydraulika oraz brak ikonicznego głosu. Moim zdaniem było to na plus.

Fabuła filmu Super Mario Bros skupia się na dwóch braciach hydraulikach, którzy mają niewielki popyt na zlecenia. Kiedy już dostaną jakieś, pech towarzyszy im, a wszystko wokół nich legnie w gruzach. Film ciekawie przedstawia, jak Mario i Luigi trafiają do magicznych światów.

Największą zaletą tej produkcji jest humor i nawiązania do gier, a także interesujące podejście do postaci księżniczki. Film to taki "zlepek" znanych motywów z różnych gier z Mario, nawet tych o gokartach. Fabularnie, im dalej, tym pozostaje liniowość, a finał nie zaskakuje.

Oczywiście samo wykonanie i humor są na wysokim poziomie, ale zdarzają się momenty, które pozostawiają pewien niedosyt. Niestety, finał mnie zawiódł, gdyż brakowało większej akcji. To nie jest zła animacja, ale też nie osiąga poziomu Minionków (tak, to samo studio, które stworzyło Minionki).

Półtorej godziny można poświęcić na obejrzenie tego filmu, który przynosi satysfakcję. Jednak im bliżej końca, tym wyraźniej widać, że twórcom animacji zabrakło pomysłów i zaczęli się opierać na znanych motywach z gry Mario. Mimo wad związanych z finałem, polecam ten film. Dzieci będą dobrze się bawić, podziwiając magię pełną różnych efektów i sympatycznego bohatera Mario, a starsi widzowie poczują szczyptę nostalgii do lat, kiedy grali na konsoli w Mario.
