Movie Review - 🎬 No Hard Feelings – Comedy

Maddie thinks she's found the answer to her financial troubles when she discovers an intriguing job listing: wealthy helicopter parents looking for someone to "date" their introverted 19-year-old son, Percy, and bring him out of his shell before he leaves for college. But awkward Percy proves to be more of a challenge than she expected, and time is running out before she loses it all.

Disclaimer: Rated R for sexual content, language, some graphic nudity and brief drug use. I would not recommend this for under 18 or if you may find any of the scenes disturbing.

I have made my choice. I will see as many comedies as I can in the near future.
I have too many things on my mind on a daily basis, so when I relax, I prefer to do it in a light way seeing comedies or action movies. So please stay tuned for more reviews in the future - and if you have a request, make sure to put it below!

No hard feelings

Created in 2023, but I think it is a new addition in Netflix (where I saw it)
It is a solid comedy with romantic elements and funny moments and if you are into this kind of movies, I highly recommend it to you.

1 hour and 45 minutes will pass very pleasantly, with laughter, smiling and some heart - butterfly effects.
It will also make you wonder about how this story will end.

Actors:

The film's star is of course Jennifer Lawrence (Maddie in the movie), a hard working barwoman & Uber driver, who has just lost her car because of debts and is about to lose her childhood home.

She is desperate and not knowing how else to handle the debt, she answers an advert, placed by wealthy parents. The deal is tempting. Maddie is asked to seduce (!) their 19 year old who is about to go to college but is too introvert, so his parents want to wake him up.

What is in for Maddie? A car! So she decides to take up the challenge.

The film blends some awkward teenage moments, surrounded by some adult humor while there is an amount of emotional language.

There are some cringe moments, and while this begins as a purely transactional relationship with Percy's ignorance, many unexpected moments come along.

Fun Facts

Jennifer Lawrence not only stars in the film but is a producer.

The idea for the film was actually inspired by a real Craigslist ad discovered by Stupnitsky and co-writer John Phillips.

This is Andrew Barth Feldman's first major film role. (19 year old Percy in movie)

Filming took place on Long Island.
