Daryl Dixon [Book of Carol] S2E2 // The Walking Dead
Greetings!
This movie, Daryl Dixon, Book of Carol Season 2, a spin-off of The Walking Dead, is one I promised myself to follow back to back. I vowed never to let any episode pass me by, and avoid the situation where I end up reading spoilers on Facebook before watching. So, I kept up to date yesterday, being the 5th of October 2024, when Episode 2 of Season 2 was released. I also promised to write about each episode as I watch, to help me get in line with writing movie reviews.
This episode came in a very twisted way. Although I had seen a bit of the info from the teaser at the end of Episode 1, this one came with a lot of suspense.
At first, Daryl Dixon was planned to be killed by the people who had welcomed him, because they saw him as a stumbling block to what they wanted to do with Laurent, the boy he has been protecting. Being the main actor of the show, I knew he couldn't be killed, but the tension lay in wondering who among his close friends might be killed.
They(Daryl's close friends) were told to stay put as they were all falling into the plan, but Isabella and Fallou refused. There was no way to clearly explain to them why they should stay off the journey without revealing the full extent of the situation. But of course, these two wouldn’t have backed down because Daryl is their close friend, and not just that, but he has saved their lives several times.
Was Daryl Dixon killed? No! But what about Isabella and Fallou? That's something you'll have to watch to find out.
On the other end, Carol landed halfway to Paris with Ash. Their airplane developed a fault and unfortunately landed them in a place full of giant creatures—some dead, some still alive. I hope you can imagine that.
They encountered two ladies who, in a twistedly playful way, agreed on two things: one was to force Ash to sleep with her to get her pregnant, while the other one was supposed to kill Carol.
.
The first one succeeded in making Ash comply by threatening him with a gun, but the other lady failed to kill Carol. Of course, I knew Carol couldn’t be killed like that, as she’s a key part of the story.
Afterward, they fixed their airplane, flew, and finally landed in France. Carol asked Ash to stay and watch the airplane while she went on to search for her "daughter." I'm curious to see how Ash is going to survive, staying in the wild to watch the airplane until Carol returns.
Not long after, Carol stumbled upon a group of French people in a military zone, who happened to be after Daryl Dixon as well.
My Opinions
At the point where Carol stumbled upon the French military group being led by Madam Genet, who has been after Daryl Dixon, the connection felt too quick. She should have explored more of France before arriving there. Come on, France is big, and it feels too convenient that she entered the country and immediately found what she was looking for.
Well, Episode 2 ended with even more suspense, leaving me eager to see what will happen next. I can’t wait for the next episode!
Thanks for reading.

Thank you friend 🥰
This spin off is something we need! I stopped watching this a long time ago when Negan arrived. I wish they would release this on Netflix so I could watch it 😄
The spin-offs are making sense.
I'm also looking forward to Dead City Season 2, the spin off with Maggie and Negan
