¿Sabían ustedes que el 23 de septiembre es el día de la bisexualidad? Para quien no conozca esto de mí, soy muy abierto a apoyar la diversidad y el amor, y en el cine, casi siempre es una ventana para mostrar la bisexualidad de una forma muy artística. Con ejemplos me viene uno de los mejores, que es el de heartstopper, que a pesar de que es una serie, demuestra muy bien lo que significa encontrar tu sexualidad en la adolescencia, algo importante ya que la bisexualidad casi siempre tiende a ser ocultada, como si fuese una etapa, como si solo fuera una parada que tocas en algún momento para después decidirte por “qué escoger”. Por eso, y para celebrar el día de la bisexualidad, es hora de hablar de tres películas que tocan ese tema:

Did you know that September 23 is bisexuality day? For anyone who doesn't know this about me, I'm very open to supporting diversity and love, and in film, it's almost always a window to show bisexuality in a very artistic way. With examples comes to me one of the best, which is heartstopper, which despite being a series, shows very well what it means to find your sexuality in adolescence, something important since bisexuality almost always tends to be hidden, as if it were a stage, as if it were just a stop that you play at some point to then decide “what to choose”. For that reason, and to celebrate Bisexuality Day, it's time to talk about three movies that touch on this topic:
La chica del dragón tatuado
Con una Rooney Mara irreconocible, la chica del dragon tatuado es una de las mejores películas de David Fincher, y ya con eso es suficiente como para correr a verla, sin embargo, tengo que decir que la historia es tan interesante como sus dos personajes protagonistas, esta película es oscura y cruda, con un misterio muy interesante y una puesta en escena que es obvia viniendo de Fincher. Una buena película que aunque no se centra en la sexualidad de su protagonista, funciona para mostrar a un personaje bisexual más allá de su sexualidad.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
With an unrecognizable Rooney Mara, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is one of David Fincher's best films, and that's enough to run to see it, however, I have to say that the story is as interesting as its two main characters, this film is dark and raw, with a very interesting mystery and a staging that is obvious coming from Fincher. A good film that although it does not focus on the sexuality of its protagonist, it works to show a bisexual character beyond her sexuality.
Sueño en otro idioma
Sé que en algún momento he hablado de esta película y es porque el cine mexicano realmente me encanta, y pues si hablamos de cine bisexual, Mexico tiene una de mis películas favoritas no solo que tocan ese tema, sino de la historia: y tu mamá también. Sin embargo, siento que ya he hablado mucho de esa película y necesito hablar de otra que es tal vez tan buena como la que acabo de mencionar. Necesito hablar de sueño en otro idioma, un viaje por un bosque mexicano lleno de cultura, amor, desamor y reconciliación, con una historia que podría ponerte a llorar y una fotografía cautivadora como cualquier película que valga la pena.
Dream in another language
I know that at some point I have talked about this movie and it is because I really love Mexican cinema, and if we talk about bisexual cinema, Mexico has one of my favorite movies not only that touches that theme, but of history: y tu mamá también. However, I feel that I have already talked too much about that movie and I need to talk about another one that is maybe as good as the one I just mentioned. I need to talk about dream in another language, a journey through a Mexican forest full of culture, love, heartbreak and reconciliation, with a story that could bring you to tears and captivating cinematography as any movie worth its salt.
Scott Pilgrim
Tanto el anime, como la película, como el comic; el cast de personajes que muy inclusivo y es una recomendación que no puedo dejar de hacer porque a pesar de ser muy conocida, es una obra tan divertida que se puede volver a ver varias veces, además, ¿ya viste la película? Ve el anime. ¿Ya viste el anime? Lee el comic. ¿Ya hiciste las tres? Vuelve a ver la versión que más te gustó, porque estoy seguro de que encontrarás cosas nuevas, una historia de amistad y de encontrarse a sí mismo, una historia de amor y también una comedia perfecta. Me encanta que Scott Pilgrim muestra a personajes reales en una historia que a pesar de ser ciencia ficción y vivir en su propio mundo, se siente todo muy ameno, con una química entre los amigos que se muestra como el de cualquier grupo de amigos que se conocen de hace mucho, y que sin importar sus gustos, fallos, amores o sexualidades, seguirán siendo amigos después de todo.

All the anime, the movie and the comic; the cast of characters is very inclusive and it's a recommendation that I can't help but make because despite being well known, it's such a fun work that you can watch it several times, besides, have you seen the movie? Have you already seen the anime? Read the comic. Have you done all three? Re-watch the version you liked the most, because I'm sure you'll find new things, a story of friendship and finding yourself, a love story and also a perfect comedy. I love that Scott Pilgrim shows real characters in a story that despite being science fiction and living in its own world, it all feels very enjoyable, with a chemistry between the friends that comes across as that of any group of friends who have known each other for a long time, and that no matter their likes, faults, loves or sexualities, they will still be friends after all.
