"Chim Chim Cher-ee" Chimney Cleaning

Actually, my mother liked the film, and she introduced it to me. Some created the newer version of Mary Poppins, but I still like the original one. I like classic movies.

Since we installed our wood stove, we missed the chance to ask the cleaner to clean the chimney. Finally, we booked the chimney cleaner person. He sounded very busy and trustworthy in this area. We wanted to clean last year before the winter season, but he was fully booked until January. His work was very clean, quick, and good. His hand was covered by soot and black. He said that he works for a maximum of 7 customers per day. On that day, he already went to at least 2-3 customers before us, even though ours was in the morning. He sometimes goes to an empty house with only pets. His story tells us that he has trust.

I watched the scene "Chim Chim Cher-ee" from Mary Poppins when I was writing this blog. When I read the lyrics for the first time when I was young, it was pretty challenging for me to understand the whole meaning because it's like Mother Goose. There are many playful words in it. It's very fun to watch this type of film. When I was young, I thought the Chim Chim Cher-ee scene was fun but a bit sad because of the musical tone. Dick Van Dyke and Dame Julie Elizabeth Andrews are amazing actors.

Anyway, thankfully, our chimney has become very clean and smooth now. I can't forget the man's black hands, reminiscent of Bert from the film. I really appreciate the cleaner's hard work.

「チム・チム・チェリー 」煙突掃除

画像はAIで作成したイメージです。昔っぽくていい画像です。昔好きでよく観ていたミュージカル映画のメリーポピンズ（１９６４年）のシーンの「チム・チム・チェリー 」の歌が好きです。実は、母が好きな映画だったので、母から教えてもらって観たのが最初でした。新しいメリーポピンズの映画もありますが、私はやっぱり元祖の映画が好きです。

家に薪ストーブを設置してから、煙突掃除の機会を逃していました。やっと、煙突掃除屋さんの予約をとることができました。この地域ではとても忙しく信頼されている方のようです。去年掃除をしたかったのですが、かなり予約でいっぱいだったらしく、一月になってしまいました。作業はとても綺麗で、素早くよかったです。彼の手はすすで真っ黒でした。彼が言うには１日に７件ものお客様の家に行くこともあるそうです。家に来た日も、くる前にすでに２−３件のお宅の煙突掃除を済ませてきたようでした。時にはペットだけが留守番している誰もいない家に行って掃除することもあるそうです。それだけ信頼されているのだと思いました。

この記事を書いている間、メリーポピンズの「チム・チム・チェリー 」の歌を聴きながら書きました。昔歌詞を初めて読んだ時は意味を理解するのが難しかったのを思い出します。まるでマザーグースのようで、楽しい言葉遊びがたくさん盛り込まれています。こういう映画を観るのはとても楽しいです。昔はこの「チム・チム・チェリー 」のシーンは音楽のトーンの感じから楽しいけれどちょっと悲しいシーンだという印象がありました。ディック・ヴァン・ダイクとデイム・ジュリー・アンドリュースは素晴らしい俳優だと思います。

ありがたいことに煙突が綺麗になりスムーズに火がつくようになりました。作業してくれた方の真っ黒の手がまるで映画の中のバートのようで忘れられません。寒い中、作業してくれたことに感謝します。
