Merry Little Batman - Review
Should I say it's the best DC animated movie of 2023? Well I really think so, Merry Little Batman is a comedy that is enjoyable from start to finish.
The truth is that I have always been a fan of Batman, he is one of my favorite heroes, so he is dark, sometimes gloomy and mysterious. This movie is totally the opposite, it's lighthearted, fun, comical in all it's essence.
I love the movie that is centered on Batman and most of all on his son Damian, a little boy who is an admirer of his father wishes to replicate and train to become a hero like his father and fight the villains of Gotham.
The point is that there are no more villains in Gotham City, Batman has already locked them all up, now it is a quiet city, everyone lives in peace and harmony, or so it seems.
The animation is impeccable, capturing the essence of the classic comics. The story is fun and exciting, with a Christmas touch that makes it even more special. But what I liked the most was the relationship between Batman and Damian. Damian is really amazing, every time he is in the scene you expect him to come out with some witticism because he has that childish touch that makes him very tender even when he makes mistakes or does his whims.
Seeing the little mini-Batman is quite touching to see him wanting to become his father and emulate everything Bruce has done, it makes you think about the importance of the good example we should give to the little ones.
Well it must be said that the animation is almost perfect, impeccable in every sense of the word, the studio in charge has done a great job animating the film, you can tell that they have put the effort that the film deserves.
As I said before and I repeat again the story is exciting and fun the film goes in crescendo and gives you something that you can expect in a Batman movie, but at the beginning you thought it would be something different.
In addition, we add to this the relationship that Damian and his father have which is really touching, we see a Bruce who is raising his son alone, as we are not shown the mother of the little boy, we see Bruce trying to do the best for his little boy trying to be the father that he could not have and that was taken away from him.
And of course you can't miss Alfred who we always see by Bruce's side as the faithful butler he is and little Damian plays innocent pranks on the experienced old man, there is no shortage of mischief from the little rascal.
I think the movie has something wrong with it unfortunately. Yes, it is very short the truth is that you don't feel the movie and it leaves you with the feeling that it could have been much longer and that would not have taken anything away from it, but rather it would have made the experience much more rewarding.

¿Debería decir que es la mejor película animada de DC del año del 2023? Bueno de verdad es que así lo pienso, Merry Little Batman es una comedia que se disfruta de principio a fin.
La verdad es que siempre he sido fan de Batman es de mis héroes favoritos, por lo que es oscuro, algunas veces sombríos y misterioso. Esta película es totalmente lo contrario, es alegre, divertida, cómica en toda es su esencia.
Me encanta la película que está centrada en Batman y más que todo en su hijo Damian, un pequeño que es admirador de su padre desea replicar y entrenar para convertirse en un héroe como su padre y combatir a los villanos de Ciudad Gótica.
La cuestión es que ya no hay villanos en Ciudad Gótica, ya Batman los ha encerrados a todos, ahora es una ciudad tranquila todos viven en paz y armonía, o bueno eso es lo que parece.
La animación es impecable, capturando la esencia de los cómics clásicos. La historia es divertida y emocionante, con un toque navideño que la hace aún más especial. Pero lo que más me gustó fue la relación entre Batman y Damian. Es que de verdad Damian es una pasada cada vez que está en escena esperas que salga con alguna ocurrencia pues tiene ese toque infantil que hace que sea muy tierno aun cuando comete errores o hace sus caprichos.
Ver al pequeño mini-Batman es bastante conmovedor verlo que quiere convertirse en su padre y emular todo lo que ha hecho Bruce, hace que pienses en la importancia del buen ejemplo que debemos darle a los más pequeños.
Bueno hay que decir que la animación es casi perfecta, impecable en todo el sentido de la palabra, el estudio a cargo la verdad es que ha hecho un gran trabajo animando la película, pues se nota que le han puesto el empeño que el film se merece.
Como dije antes y vuelvo a repetir la historia es emocionante y divertida la película va in crescendo y te da algo que puedes esperar en una obra de Batman, pero que al principio creías que sería algo diferente.
Además, a esto le sumamos la relación que tiene Damian y su padre que es realmente conmovedora, vemos a un Bruce que está criando solo a su hijo, pues no se nos muestra a la mamá del pequeño, vemos a Bruce tratando de hacer lo mejor para su pequeño intentando ser el padre que el no pudo tener y que le arrebataron.
Y por supuesto no puede faltar Alfred al que siempre vemos al lado de Bruce como el fiel mayordomo que es y que el pequeño Damian le hace inocentes bromas al experimentado anciano, no faltan las travesuras del pequeño pillo.
Creo que la película tiene algo malo lamentablemente. Sí, es muy corta la verdad es que no sientes la película y te deja con la sensación de que pudo haber sido mucho más larga y que no le hubiera quitado nada de valor, sino más bien hubiera hecho mucho más gratificante la experiencia.
