I'm a big consumer of the Dragon Ball universe, I watched most of the series and movies. And I can say with total certainty that Dragon Ball Evolution is the worst thing the franchise has released by far.

In this opportunity I would like to complain, criticize and destroy without mercy this movie. It should never have existed.

Literally, this movie is so awful that if instead of its director, they would have put a random Dragon Ball fan, the result would have been better. Even if that person knew absolutely nothing about directing, screenwriting, acting, etc. I even think he would have done a better job. For the simple fact that the movie is garbage. It wouldn't be complicated to make something less bad.

Que está repleto de técnicas, transformaciones, peleas surrealistas, etc. Elementos que son complicados de llevarlos a este formato sin que quede raro o extraño.
On the other hand, they didn't make any effort to make the characters look halfway similar. From the aesthetic side as in the personality. The only 2 that for me, resemble something to the series, are Piccolo and Milk. Outside of them, you don't recognize anyone. Los únicos 2 que para mí, se asemejan en algo a la serie, son Piccolo y Milk. Fuera de ellos, no reconoces a nadie. Por ejemplo, el Maestro Roshi original es anciano, calvo y con una gran barba, en la película tiene 50 años como mucho, cabello y nada de barba. Y como este hay varios ejemplos. Realmente, no se esmeraron ni un poco para hacer algo decente.
Goku is a complete disaster. In the series he's someone obsessed with being stronger, who loves fights and has almost no lividity. In this movie he's a hormonal teenager who grovels for Milk and has no interest in fighting. I dare say that this Goku is worse than the one in Dragon Ball Super. And that in DBS he gets to be pretty stupid and idiotic.
Lo de Goku es un completo desastre. En la serie él es alguien obsesionado con ser más fuerte, que ama las peleas y casi no tiene lívido. En esta película es un adolescente hormonado que se arrastra por Milk y no le interesan las peleas. Me atrevo a decir que este Goku es peor que el de Dragón Ball Súper. Y eso que en DBS llega a ser bastante estúpido e idiota.
Besides, it's so out of place to see Goku in typical American teen dramas. Like dealing with typical school bullies or going to parties. It's all so inconsistent with Akira Toriyama's work that it hurts.

If you're a fan of Dragon Ball and you haven't seen Dragon Ball Evolution yet, please don't do it. Dodge that bullet and get on to other things. It's literally more productive to watch grass grow.

I totally forgot this movie existed, but now I remember how bad it was. I recently re-watched the original animated Dragon Ball series, and it is so fun and imaginative. With all the deviations from source material, it is hard to believe this live action movie had any connection with the original show.
Sorry to remind you that this piece of crap exists. I still find it hard to believe that this crap got the green light to come out.
Anyway, best to pretend it never existed and enjoy the original series.

Cierto que la película fue horrible aunque me parece recordar que los personajes de Bulma y Yamcha estuvieron bien hechos
La película de fans con Gohan y Trunks del futuro está mucho mejor hecha (creo que se llamaba Light of Hope); eso mostró que sí se puede hacer películas live action de Dragon Ball con gente que sepa lo que hace. También, cuando vi Superman Man of Steel pensé que las peleas de Superman contra los otros kriptonianos eran como podrían ser las de Dragon Ball live action
