Very good morning/evening dear friends of Hive. In order not to lose the habit, I bring you a review with a few more tidbits of this what I thought was a great movie: CUANDO ACECHA LA MALDAD or WHEN EVIL HITS or WHEN EVIL HITS.

I'm not a big fan of Argentinean movies, and it's mostly because I usually don't understand much when they speak, I'm not going to lie to you that this movie has several parts that are hard to understand and even more if many words are only part of the Argentinean dialect. But despite this, I liked this movie a lot, I really didn't expect it.

PREÁMBULO:
Muy buenos días/noches querido amigos de Hive. Para no perder la costumbre, les traigo una reseña con algunas cositas más de esta que me pareció una gran película: CUANDO ACECHA LA MALDAD o CUANDO EL MAL ACECHA.

Yo no soy muy fan del cine Argentino, y es más que todo porque normalmente no entiendo mucho cuando hablan, no les voy a mentir que esta película tiene varias partes que cuestan entender y más aún si muchas palabras forman parte únicamente del dialecto Argentino. Pero pese a esto, esta película me gustó bastante, la verdad no me lo esperaba.

Su director y guionista es Demián Rugna, que es el mismo de la película “Aterrados” que tiene en IMBD 6.5/10 de puntuación, calificada por casi 20 mil personas. Así que ya por aquí empezamos a ver que este director se las trae.
La película que a continuación narraremos un poco, tiene una puntuación de 7.3 de puntuación con más de 2 mil votos, así que con esta cantidad no podemos dejarnos guiar tanto ya que aún son pocos, pero debemos esperar ya que es una película del 2023.
Su duración es de 1 hora y 39 minutos y yo la encontré en MAGISTV.
Ahora sin más preámbulo, empecemos.

SYNOPSIS:
Starring 2 brothers who live in a town where nothing ever happens. One day they hear noises in the forest and go to see what happens. When they get the corpse of a man they call the "healer", since there is an evil that possesses people, because that is how the child of the devil begins to grow up. After this scene they realize that in the town there is a "possessed", they go to the police but as they do not believe them, they try to solve the problem in their hands, which generates chaos to everyone around them.

SINOPSIS:
Protagonizada por 2 hermanos que viven en un pueblo donde nunca pasa nada. Un día escuchan ruidos en el bosque y van a ver qué sucede. Cuando consiguen el cadáver de un hombre que llaman el “curador”, ya que existe un mal que posee a las personas, porque de esa forma se empieza a criar el hijo del diablo. Luego de esta escena se dan cuenta que en el pueblo existe un “poseído”, acuden a la Policía pero como estos no les creen, intentan solucionar el problema en sus manos, lo que genera caos a todos lo que están a su alrededor.

MORE THAN JUST A SYNOPSIS:
After complicating things further, they try to flee to prevent their family from dying, but things get more and more complicated, and just when you think they will find some solution, everything becomes more complex.

ALGO MÁS QUE SINOPSIS:
Luego de complicar más las cosas, ellos tratan de huir para evitar que su familia muera, pero las cosas se van complicando cada vez más, y cuando crees que encontrarán alguna solución, todo se vuelve más complejo.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:
I'm a fan of horror movies, and while they don't usually scare me, they entertain the hell out of me. In my opinion this one is horror, horror and suspense at the same time. One of the things I usually look at when I start watching a movie, is the first 15 minutes, because if it doesn't grab me in that time, I take it off. I must comment that this movie keeps you attentive from minute one, there are practically no filler scenes, and each one of them are necessary.
I do not recommend that children or people sensitive to stomach or strong scenes see it because there are VERY STRONG parts, and many scenes that you do not expect.
It has many scenes of death and blood, so I leave it up to you. It didn't scare me as a horror movie but it always kept me on my toes.

COSAS A TOMAR EN CUENTA:
Yo soy fanática de las películas de terror, y aunque no me asustan normalmente, me entretienen muchísimo. A mi parecer esta es Terror, horror y suspenso al mismo tiempo. Una de las cosas que yo suelo ver al empezar a ver una película, es en sus primeros 15 minutos, ya que sí en ese tiempo no me atrapa, la quito. Debo comentar que esta película te mantiene atento desde el minuto uno, no hay escenas prácticamente de relleno, y cada una de ellas son necesarias.
No recomiendo que la vean niños o personas sensibles del estómago o a escenas fuertes ya qué hay partes MUY FUERTES, y muchas escenas que no te esperas.
Tiene muchas escenas de muertes y sangre, así que ya te lo dejo a tu criterio. A mí no me asustó como película de terror pero siempre me mantuvo alerta.

EXTRA OPINION:
I was surprised by the quality of the production, the makeup of the characters was great, except for one or another that wasn't very believable, but overall, I could give it an 8/10.
Regarding the denouement, it seems to me that basically everything was explained and that jo left a lot to the imagination.
I could say that what I didn't like was that they didn't try to avoid speaking with so many idioms, since many of us won't understand, besides Argentines don't modulate so much and speak very fast.

OPINIÓN EXTRA:
Me sorprendió la calidad de la producción, el maquillaje de los personajes estuvo genial, salvo uno que otro que sí no fue muy creíble, pero en general, le podría dar un 8/10.
Con respecto al desenlace, me parece que explicaron básicamente todo y que jo quedó mucho a la imaginación.
Podría decir que lo que no me gustó fue que no trataron de evitar que hablaran con tantos modismos ya que muchos no entenderemos, además que los Argentinos no modulan tanto y hablan muy rápido.
