Hoy quiero hablarles de una película que me gusto mucho porque en ella los actores no tenían experiencia pero se ganaron mis respetos, se trata de Bestias del sur salvaje, la película fue estrenada en 2012 y recibió cuatro nominaciones al Óscar, incluyendo mejor película, mejor director, mejor actriz y mejor guion adaptado. La película fue elogiada por su originalidad, su fotografía, su música y las actuaciones de los actores no profesionales Quvenzhané Wallis y Dwight Henry, que interpretan a Hushpuppy y Wink respectivamente.

Today I want to talk to you about a movie that I liked a lot because in it the actors had no experience but they earned my respects, it is Beasts of the Southern Wild, the film was released in 2012 and received four Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress and Best Adapted Screenplay. The film was praised for its originality, cinematography, music and the performances of non-professional actors Quvenzhané Wallis and Dwight Henry, who play Hushpuppy and Wink respectively.

La película cuenta la historia de Hushpuppy, una niña de seis años que vive con su padre, Wink, en una comunidad aislada y amenazada por el cambio climático y la subida de las aguas. Beasts of the Southern Wild is a dramatic fantasy film directed by Benh Zeitlin, based on the play Juicy and Delicious by Lucy Alibar. la película tiene un estilo muy original, que mezcla el realismo y la fantasía, y que se basa en la perspectiva de Hushpuppy, la protagonista. Ella nos narra su historia con una voz en off que nos revela sus pensamientos, sus miedos y sus sueños. La película también usa unos efectos especiales muy creativos, que nos muestran las bestias del sur salvaje, unas criaturas prehistóricas que Hushpuppy imagina que se liberan cuando el hielo se derrite. Estas bestias representan el peligro, pero también la conexión con la naturaleza y con el pasado. Otro aspecto que me llamó la atención fue la actuación de los actores principales, que no eran profesionales. Quvenzhané Wallis, que interpreta a Hushpuppy, tenía solo seis años cuando rodó la película, y sin embargo logró transmitir una gran fuerza y una gran emoción. Su padre en la película, Wink, está interpretado por Dwight Henry, que era el dueño de una panadería cerca del lugar donde se filmó la película. Él aceptó el papel porque le gustó el guion y porque se identificó con la historia de supervivencia y de amor entre padre e hija.

the film has a very original style, mixing realism and fantasy, based on the perspective of Hushpuppy, the main character. She narrates her story with a voice-over that reveals her thoughts, fears and dreams. The film also uses some very creative special effects, which show us the beasts of the wild south, prehistoric creatures that Hushpuppy imagines are released when the ice melts. These beasts represent danger, but also a connection to nature and to the past. Another aspect that struck me was the acting of the lead actors, who were not professionals. Quvenzhané Wallis, who plays Hushpuppy, was only six years old when she shot the film, yet she managed to convey great strength and emotion. Her father in the film, Wink, is played by Dwight Henry, who owned a bakery near the location where the film was shot. He accepted the role because he liked the script and because he identified with the story of survival and love between father and daughter.

La película también tiene un mensaje social y ecológico, que nos habla de la situación de las personas que viven en zonas marginadas y vulnerables al cambio climático. Este rodaje nos enseña a valorar las cosas simples de la vida, como la familia, la amistad, la naturaleza y la libertad. También nos inspira a luchar por nuestros sueños, a no rendirnos ante las dificultades, y a buscar nuestra propia voz. Creo que la película es una obra de arte, que combina el drama y la fantasía, y que nos hace reflexionar sobre el mundo en el que vivimos y el que queremos dejar a las futuras generaciones. La película también nos emociona con sus imágenes y su música, que nos transportan a un lugar único y especial. En fin, me enseñó que a veces hay que salir de nuestra zona de confort y explorar el mundo, que hay muchas personas y lugares que pueden enriquecer nuestra vida, y que nunca hay que perder la esperanza de encontrar a nuestros seres queridos.
