He estado un poco perdida de las reseñas de series en este blog, pero la verdad es que no había visto nada nuevo que llame mi atención en las plataformas de Streamings, más bien he estado viendo series viejas que son mis favoritas. Mientras que buscaba nuevas series o se estrenaban nuevas temporadas de algunas que me tenían en espera, por lo menos puedo prometerles dos nuevas reseñas después de esta. Hace poco me encontré en Netflix una serie llamada Luna Nera, y como tenía toda la pinta de ser una serie de fantasía, la vi en dos días.

I've been a little lost of series reviews on this blog, but the truth is that I hadn't seen anything new that catches my attention on the Streamings platforms, rather I've been watching old series that are my favorites. While I was looking for new series or new seasons of some that had me on hold were released, I can at least promise you two new reviews after this one. I recently came across a series on Netflix called Luna Nera, and since it had all the makings of a fantasy series, I watched it in two days.

Esta serie italiana ambientada en el siglo XVII apenas tiene seis episodios, pero todos cargados de inicio a fin. Pensé que podía ser la típica historia de brujas, pero tiene algo más al fondo. La serie se trata de Ade, una chica que vive con su “abuela” y su hermano menor, Ade y su abuela son brujas, pero ella no lo sabía hasta que su don sale a la luz, por lo que son perseguidas y su abuela termina condenada a hoguera. Ade debe huir con su hermano Valente, donde por indicaciones de Natalia, llega a una puerta secreta en el bosque, a las ciudades perdidas, lugar de las brujas. Ade debe elegir entre lugar por su amor, o su destino, al lado de las brujas. Es como un romance adolescente, cargado de mucha fantasía, lucha y de todo un poco.

This Italian series set in the 17th century barely has six episodes, but all charged from start to finish. I thought it might be a typical witch story, but it has something more to the background. The series is about Ade, a girl who lives with her "grandmother" and her younger brother, Ade and her grandmother are witches, but she didn't know it until her gift comes to light, so they are persecuted and her grandmother ends up condemned to be burned at the stake. Ade must flee with her brother Valente, where, following Natalia's instructions, she arrives at a secret door in the forest, to the lost cities, the place of the witches. Ade must choose between a place for his love, or his destiny, at the side of the witches. It's like a teenage romance, loaded with lots of fantasy, fighting and a little bit of everything.

Las relaciones entre los personajes es importante, en toda historia, en este caso la historia de amor entre Luna y Pietro es muy complicada, ambos se quieren pero básicamente Sante el padre de Pietro, es quien persigue a las brujas junto con los Benandanti, y eso también interfiere en la frecuencia que ambos se ven, hasta el final donde definitivamente se separan. Por otro lado, Cesaria y Spirto, ambos con ganas de estar juntos, viendose de igual forma a escondidas, luchando por seguir juntos, pero ninguno con el valor suficiente para dar el paso.

The relationships between the characters is important, in every story, in this case the love story between Luna and Pietro is very complicated, both love each other but basically Sante the father of Pietro, is the one who pursues the witches along with the Benandanti, and that also interferes in the frequency that both see each other, until the end where they definitely separate. On the other hand, Cesaria and Spirto, both wanting to be together, seeing each other secretly, struggling to stay together, but neither with enough courage to take the step.

Toda serie de fantasia termina con una revelación, cuando los Benandanti capturan a las brujas y las condenan a la hoguera, a todas menos a Ade, justo al tiempo que sucede el ecplise, donde se revela la elegida, quede muy sorprendida al saber que Ade nunca fue a quien esperaban, Valente, o mejor dicho su hermana, resultando ser la elegida, cuyo poder de luz irradia todo y hace que queden libres. Al final Ade asesina a Sante, a ojos de Pietro, quien jura odiarla y cazarla, mientras todas las brujas huyen con la elegida y Ade queda sola, por otro camino ya que dice no ser como ellas, porque ella es oscura.

Every fantasy series ends with a revelation, when the Benandanti capture the witches and condemn them to the stake, all except Ade, just as the ecplise happens, where the chosen one is revealed, I was very surprised to learn that Ade was never who they expected, Valente, or rather her sister, turning out to be the chosen one, whose power of light radiates everything and makes them free. In the end Ade murders Sante, in the eyes of Pietro, who swears to hate her and hunt her down, while all the witches flee with the chosen one and Ade is left alone, on another path since she says she is not like them, because she is dark.
