Para nadie es un secreto que los juegos del hambre llegaron a convertirse en una de las sagas más importantes en la industria. Fue una historia que cuando salieron sus libros fueron como una revolución porque a muchas personas les gustaban, fue parte de la infancia y de la adolescencia de muchos, como fue mi caso. Por otro lado, esta distopía generó un impacto cinematográfico increíble, de la cual se intentaron como replicar el formato y honestamente a día de hoy nadie ha podido lograr superarlo. Yo me leí los libros hace años como en el 2012 o 2014, por ende yo me considero muy fan de esta saga y cuando se anunció que iban a sacar una precuela yo estaba muy emocionada, lo recuerdo perfectamente. Pero cuando salió el libro yo tenía un bloqueo lector así que no lo pude leer y a día de hoy que he estado leyendo muchísimas cosas de fantasía y dark romance, siento que me he alejado un poco de las distopías, pero es un libro que planeo leer en algún momento de mi vida y quería conocer la historia así que decidí ver la película y les tengo una reseña muy honesta.

It's no secret that The Hunger Games became one of the most important sagas in the industry. It was a story that when the books came out was like a revolution because many people liked it, it was part of the childhood and adolescence of many, as was my case. On the other hand, this dystopia generated an incredible cinematographic impact, of which they tried to replicate the format and honestly to this day no one has been able to surpass it. I read the books years ago in 2012 or 2014, so I consider myself a big fan of this saga and when it was announced that they were going to release a prequel I was very excited, I remember it perfectly. But when the book came out I had a reader's block so I couldn't read it and now that I've been reading a lot of fantasy and dark romance stuff, I feel like I've moved away a bit from dystopias, but it's a book I plan to read at some point in my life and I wanted to know the story so I decided to watch the movie and I have a very honest review for you.

En esta película Llamada balada de pájaros cantores y serpientes tenemos la historia del presidente Snow, de cómo llegó a convertirse en quien era, aunque exactamente no nos muestran cómo fue que llegó a ser presidente, si nos otras cosas muy importantes de su vida cuando él era joven. Coriolanus Snow fue un niño que sufrió bastante por la guerra entre los distritos y cuando fue creciendo se concentró en escalar en el poder, vivía en el Capitolio y estudiaba para destacar con el fin de llegar a un puesto bastante alto en la sociedad. Es ahí cuando llegan los décimos juegos del hambre que todo se vuelve un poco más caótico por así decirlo. Es cuando se introduce por primera vez a los mentores con el fin de qué ellos ganen un premio muy importante y le toca a Snow ser mentor de Lucy Gray Baird, quien ganó los juegos de este año gracias a la ayuda de Coryo. Pero Snow al querer triunfar hizo un poco de trama, así que como castigo lo enviaron a ser agente de la paz.

Él decidió ir al distrito 12 de donde era Lucy Gray de la cual evidentemente se había enamorado. Es ahí en donde Coryo luego de todo lo que paso como mentor en los juegos y también como agente de paz, ya que él sintió un fracaso demasiado grande al ver al que lo hayan rebajado a enviarlo allá, empieza a desvariarse mentalmente. Una parte muy importante de la película es cuando Coryo y Lucy Gray deciden irse a otro distrito y él cae en la locura, ya que confiesa que había matado a tres personas, Lucy Gray sabía que había dos personas no sabía quién era la tercera y ella realmente era una persona muy hippie, creo que es la mejor forma de describir se enojó un poco con él cuando se enteró de esa tercera muerte y es ahí en donde empieza una incógnita para muchos, el momento de la persecución en el bosque, los parajes cantando y Snow deslizándose en la locura soltando disparos para no dejar viva ninguna prueba de sus crímenes.

In this movie called Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes we have the story of President Snow, how he became who he was, although they don't show us exactly how he became president, they do show us other very important things about his life when he was young. Coriolanus Snow was a child who suffered a lot because of the war between the districts and when he grew up he focused on climbing in power, he lived in the Capitol and studied to stand out in order to reach a fairly high position in society. It is there when the tenth hunger games arrive that everything becomes a bit more chaotic so to speak. It is when the mentors are introduced for the first time in order for them to win a very important prize and it is Snow's turn to mentor Lucy Gray Baird, who won this year's games thanks to Coryo's help. But Snow wanted to succeed, so he was sent to be a peace officer as a punishment.

He decided to go to the 12th district where Lucy Gray was from, with whom he had evidently fallen in love. It is there where Coryo after everything he went through as a mentor in the games and also as a peace officer, since he felt too much of a failure to see the fact that he was sent there, he starts to become mentally delirious. A very important part of the movie is when Coryo and Lucy Gray decide to go to another district and he falls into madness, as he confesses that he had killed three people, Lucy Gray knew there were two people she didn't know who the third one was and she really was a very hippie person, I think that's the best way to describe she got a little mad at him when she found out about that third death and that's where an unknown begins for many, the moment of the chase in the woods, the singing scenery and Snow slipping into the madness releasing gunshots to leave no evidence of his crimes alive.

Esta película es demasiado buena, honestamente yo no tenía nada de expectativas, la comencé a ver sin ver ningún tráiler sin leer nada, no sabía que me iban a presentar y quedé totalmente complacida. Ver los retazos de la infancia de Coryo, cuando le toca vivir con su abuelatriz y su prima verlos tratar de escalar entre la sociedad, y también ver el deterioro de su mente, como pasó de ser una persona que está buscando justicia para cualquiera dependiendo de la situación que se le pasaba pasó a ser una persona bastante fría calculadora y ser el villano de la historia, es muy increíble verdad. Y obviamente tenemos ese final en donde no sabemos si él estaba alucinando en su esquizofrenia o si realmente él asesinó a Lucy Gray. Yo creo que sí la asesinó, pero al mismo tiempo existe la posibilidad de que ella haya escapado, y tengo entendido que en los libros tampoco se revela exactamente qué fue lo que pasó, es una incógnita para todos y cada quien tiene sus teorías, las cuales siento que todas son muy válidas y creo que es algo muy increíble de esta historia. Si ustedes son fan de las distopías o de los juegos del hambre les va a encantar esta, así que esta película para mí es un 9 de 10, nos leemos pronto!

This movie is too good, honestly I had no expectations at all, I started watching it without seeing any trailer without reading anything, I didn't know what I was going to be presented with and I was totally pleased. Seeing the snippets of Coryo's childhood, when he has to live with his grandmother and his cousin to see them trying to climb among society, and also see the deterioration of his mind, as he went from being a person who is seeking justice for anyone depending on the situation that happened to him became a rather cold calculating person and be the villain of the story, it is very incredible indeed. And obviously we have that ending where we don't know if he was hallucinating in his schizophrenia or if he really murdered Lucy Gray. I believe that he did murder her, but at the same time there is the possibility that she escaped, and I understand that in the books it is not revealed exactly what happened, it is an unknown for everyone and everyone has their own theories, which I feel are all very valid and I think it is something very incredible about this story. If you are a fan of dystopias or hunger games you are going to love this one, so this movie for me is a 9 out of 10, see you soon!
