Why re-watch a series?

¿No les pasa que no conectan con una serie nueva? Actualmente, encontrar una serie, o película, que sea nueva y que te guste es todo un tema, quizás la industria ha cambiado mucho o los grandes consumidores de las plataformas de streaming son un público difícil, es algo para pensar. A mí me ha costado mucho encontrar una serie nueva que me atrape, son muy pocas la que logran hacerlo, entonces caigo en 'Repetir una serie una y otra vez'. Entonces, hoy me hice esta pregunta "¿Por qué ver de nuevo una serie?"

Si lo pensamos seriamente, esta pregunta es muy relativa, porque todos tenemos gustos diferentes. Particularmente, creo que hay series que son MUY buenas, según mis gustos y lo que me gusta ver. Pero esto de las series muy cortas, que hay que esperar, que hay que esperar a que las cancelen, que cambien de actores o que son muy buenas, pero al final son muy malas, hace que no quiera ver tantas cosas nuevas, ya que la decepción siempre acaba siendo grande.
If we think seriously, this question is very relative, because we all have different tastes. Particularly, I think there are series that are VERY good, according to my tastes and what I enjoy watching. But this thing of very short series, having to wait, having to wait for them to be cancelled, having them change actors or that are very good, but in the end are very bad, makes me not want to watch so many new things, since the disappointment always ends up being great.
Por otro lado, si estamos pensando en ver una serie para distraernos, pienso que tenemos que ver lo que realmente nos llame la atención, sea nuevo o viejo, pensando en que solo tiene que gustarnos y dar nuestras opiniones, de manera respetuosa, sin sentir miedo porque "es una serie nueva, todo el mundo la ama y si digo algo malo me van a caer encima". Piensen por un momento que, la vida es muy corta para estar viendo cosas que no nos gustan.
On the other hand, if we are thinking of watching a series to distract us, I think we have to watch what really catches our attention, whether it is new or old, thinking that we just have to like it and give our opinions, in a respectful way, without being afraid because "it is a new series, everybody loves it and if I say something bad they will come down on me". Think for a moment, life is too short to be watching things we don't like.
Todo este pensamiento vino a mí por qué recientemente he estado viendo en Prime Video mi serie favorita de todos los tiempos, Vampire Diaries, ya que la amo y realmente no tengo tiempo para comprometerme con una serie nueva, sé lo que va a pasar y disfruto verla. Así como Vampire Diaries tengo serie como: The Originals, Lucifer, Riverdale, You, Game of Thrones, The Witcher, The Umbrella Academy, Sillicon Valley, Mr. Robot. Y muchas otras más que siempre están ahí cuando necesito un momento de diversión viendo algo que considero un excelente contenido. ¡Me gustaría saber que opinan al respecto del tema en comentarios, nos leemos pronto!
This whole thought came to me why I have recently been watching on Prime Video my all time favorite series, Vampire Diaries, as I love it and I really don't have time to commit to a new series, I know what is going to happen and I enjoy watching it. As well as Vampire Diaries I have series like: The Originals, Lucifer, Riverdale, You, Game of Thrones, The Witcher, The Umbrella Academy, Sillicon Valley, Mr. Robot. @lucianav Tienes razón, hay series o películas que son tan malas que no vale la pena perder el tiempo viéndolas completas. Tengo dos series que me podría ver muchas veces y no me cansaría, son como mi series de confort. Una es Normal People y la otra es My Mad Fat Diary. Son dos series no tan largas y que tienen una trama que me gusta muchísimo. No son tan conocidas pero a mí me encantan. He intentado ver otro tipo de series pero me aburren por qué algunas son demasiado largas. Ahorita estoy viendo una que se llama Sandman es de Netflix y está bastante interesante, es de género: fantasía drama y terror.

Yo he perdido mucho tiempo viendo películas y series que al final no me terminan gustando, asi que la decepción es enorme porque no tengo mucho tiempo libre para ver tantas series como quisiera, porque lo que me gusta aprovechar el tiempo, y me pasa igual que a ti, a veces termino optando por ver algo repetido porque escoger algo nuevo ya me da miedo o si la empiezo a ver y no me atrapa simplemente la quito. Aunque varias personas me han dicho directamente que no le encuentran sentido a repetir series o películas, en lo personal a mi si me gusta y lo hago con mucha frecuencia ❤ Por supuesto también me doy la oportunidad de ver las nuevas que me llamen la atención o que me recomienden mis amigos, soy bastante libre en ese sentido, pero me he dado cuenta que muchas veces soy más feliz cuando vuelvo a disfrutar de las historias de películas y series significativas para mí, que se adaptan a mis gustos y que independientemente de la cantidad de veces que las vea no me canso de repetirlas. Toda buena historia merece disfrutarse más de una vez 😍
Sí, me sucede y mucho. De hecho, podría decir que la serie que más he revisto es Better Call Saul. Sencillamente esa serie me atrapa de distintos modos. Planos, desarrollos de personajes, guión, montaje, dirección técnica y de fotografía, diálogos, interacciones... Uff, un mundo dentro de un mundo en sí mismo. Qué gran argumento e idea has tenido, @lucianav, al hacer un post sobre esta acción que muchos de nosotros, cinéfilos, solemos hacer. Un abrazo amiga.
