CineTV Contest: THE TIMINI AND BIMBO EFFECT

At the start of the film, when they hadn't met and begun to act as a pair, I thought, "they act so damn good," when they became a pair and took scenes together, I thought, "I don't want any scene where they aren't together."

This duo, Bimbo Adeyemo and Timini Egbuson, are a delight to see. I had heard how good their acting skills are, I always came across reviews and posts praising how well they function as a pair and bring life to whatever character they are made to play. Then, I only saw these accolades as praises from fans based on how much I know fans to always hype their favorite artists until I saw the movie, Breaded life.

Prior, even, I had seen them act individually in movies and marveled at their exceptional deliveries. But together, they spark a fire. Many know that they are very close friends off screen, and I assume that they bring in that sane spark into their roles, particularly when the roles require that they love up.

It's a tough one to even pick one of their movies together and say that it's the one considering that, every single film that they have done together was magical. They can be very versatile and take up different roles and be very natural. Mostly, they act as lovebirds, putting on some character on the side, which they usually nail.

However, this movie, Breaded Life, in which they both acted as lead characters, was the one that fuelled my attraction to them. So a short review; Breaded Life tells the story of an irresponsible young man from a wealthy home whose mother had tried to no end to make him turn a new leaf. The young man wakes up one day and to his amazement no one(his mother helps) recognizes him except for a local bread seller.

The themes, plot twist psychological setting, religion lens, class systems, social context, and the moral hemisphere are beyond outstanding. It is a relatable masterpiece.
It will catch your attention right from the beginning, which is very unlikely for most Nollywood movies. The movie gives one excellent amount of diverse emotions, you name it; sadness, anxiety, hope, happiness, and love.The plot is pretty much straightforward with near-perfect synchrony and beautiful harmony.

Timini's swift change from ‘being a spoilt rich kid to adjusting to life in the trenches was meritorious. He did a brilliant job with the character, and he did so with style.
Bimbo Ademoye did so well with her command of her native (Egun) language, and expression in every scene is nothing short of charming. She's She such a versatile actor. She dusts her roles with other actors, but with Timini, it's mostly electrifying
Together, they they did a sweet job, that's why they may never get displaced as my favorite movie duo. I couldn't even pick a favorite scene.

Since after seeing this one with them, I've gone along to see almost every other movie that they starred in(together, of course), from Big love to unexpected places to the newest, Last straw.

Breaded Life is one movie you should see.
It is unpredictable, brain-teasing, and moderately comical.
Although the way the movie ended didn't do it for me, it mattered less to me. Having them do their thing as only they are capable of sort of made up for it.
