Deadpool & Wolverine 2024 is a disaster in many ways but the movie is definitely entertaining and I found myself laughing out loud several times. If you're a Marvel fan you'll find that the story is basically an excuse to make jokes and although it has its flaws, I had a good time watching it, especially because of the chemistry between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Deadpool is rated R for the kind of bloody violence and crude humor that it delivers.

Several years after Deadpool 2, Wade Wilson is going through what can be called a midlife crisis. Deadpool no longer exists, he is separated from Vanessa and now sells used cars with Peter, living with Blind Al, until he is kidnapped by the Time Variance Authority (TVA) by an agent named Mr. Paradox, here Wade discovers that his timeline will be destroyed and the TVA offers him the opportunity to join the "Sacred Timeline" but he would have to leave all his loved ones behind. Wade and Logan have to team up to escape from The Void, defeating Cassandra and trying to save their respective worlds.

This movie stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, and they do so with ease and chemistry, although Reynolds feels completely comfortable with Deadpool making jokes and using profanity all the time, which I found a bit repetitive after three movies. While Jackman returns to the role of Wolverine, this version is quite angry and bitter, which means he always ends up in a debate with Deadpool. There is a scene where they have a fight inside a Honda Odyssey that is very good because Jackman puts so much real fury into it that it brings out the best in what could have been just another action sequence. The secondary characters don't have much screen time or much development Matthew Macfadyen is Mr. Paradox is over the top but it works quite well for this type of movie, Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova has a predatory look, there are also some former Fox Marvel actors like Channing Tatum as Gambit, a role he was supposed to play in an independent movie that never happened.

Reynolds and Jackman have great chemistry and there is plenty of humor. It is both a celebration and a critique of the superhero movie. Deadpool pokes fun at the current state of the MCU but I found the plot a bit underdeveloped, some of the visual effects are not very good quality and at times I got the feeling that the movie sometimes relies too much on meta-humor and nostalgia instead of telling a good story. The best thing about the movie is seeing Wade and Logan, two damaged characters, forming a connection, despite being so different. I also liked how the movie is a kind of homage to the Fox era of Marvel movies, recognizing the good and the bad of that era. I enjoyed the movie more than I thought I would, although overall it's a bit messy, but it has two main performances that make it worth watching.

Reynolds y Jackman tienen una gran química y hay bastante humor es a la vez una celebración y una crítica de la película de superhéroes, Deadpool se burla del estado actual del UCM pero la trama me pareció poco elaborada, algunos efectos visuales no tienen muy buena calidad y en algunos momentos me dio la sensación de que la película a veces se apoya demasiado en el metahumor y la nostalgia en lugar de contar una buena historia. Lo mejor de la película es ver a Wade y Logan dos personajes dañados, formando una conexión, a pesar de ser tan diferentes, también me gustó cómo la película es una especie de homenaje a la era Fox de las películas de Marvel reconociendo lo bueno y lo malo de esa época, disfruté de la película más de lo que pensaba, aunque en general sea algo desordenada pero tiene dos actuaciones principales que hacen que valga la pena verla.

The most action-packed part of the movie is seeing Deadpool and Wolverine together with the team of outcasts from Fox Marvel that they have brought together to face Cassandra Nova and her forces. During the fight, Wade discovers that in order to save both Logan's and his own timeline, one of them will have to die to become the "anchor being" that stabilizes the multiverse. When the time comes to save him, Wade is the hero and decides to sacrifice himself, but Logan is faster, grabs Wade with his claws and takes his place. This leads to a moving scene in which Logan, tormented by not having protected his X-Men family in his timeline, finally has the opportunity to redeem himself, but as is usual in comics, none of these characters are dead forever, Mr. Paradox informs the TVA that he has been manipulating all along, however he tries to use a device known as the Time Ripper to destroy Wade's timeline but is defeated. Deadpool and Wolverine survive to return to Wade's timeline, both characters have come to a certain peace and purpose through their adventure together and Wade has been reunited with Vanessa and Logan has found a new home. There is also a post-credits scene that I'm not going to reveal here but it's just a joke, it's not a future plot, the ending is set up in such a way that it brings this story to a close, but also allows these characters to appear again in future MCU projects.

Esto da lugar a una escena conmovedora en la que Logan, atormentado por no haber protegido a su familia X-Men en su línea temporal, tiene por fin la oportunidad de redimirse, pero como es habitual en los cómics, ninguno de estos personajes está muerto para siempre, el Sr. Paradox informa a la TVA de que ha estado manipulando todo el tiempo, sin embargo intenta utilizar un dispositivo conocido como el Destripador del Tiempo para destruir la línea temporal de Wade pero es derrotado. Although Deadpool and Wolverine is a messy, chaotic but entertaining film, it works best when it focuses on its two protagonists, even with a poorly elaborated plot and some visual effects that are not up to par, the film works as a buddy comedy and a recognition of the Fox era of Marvel films, don't expect it to offer much more than meta-humor and action sequences. Score 7.5/10.

Aunque Deadpool y Wolverine es una película desordenada, caótica, pero entretenida funciona mejor cuando se centra en sus dos protagonistas, incluso con una trama poco elaborada y algunos efectos visuales que no están a la altura la película funciona como una comedia de amigos y un reconocimiento a la era Fox de las películas de Marvel, no esperes que ofrezca mucho más que metahumor y secuencias de acción. Puntuación 7.5/10.
