A un Millón de Millas, Basada en la Vida del Astronauta José Hernadez // A Million Miles Away, Based on the Life of Astronaut José Hernández

Saludos queridos cinéfilos, bienvenidos a mi blog y a la comunidad de #MoviesTVShow, les deseo un feliz día. Hoy les quiero recomendar ver esta inspiradora película basada en la vida de José Hernandez, cuyos orígenes son muy modestos y que con esfuerzo y trabajo logró su sueño de convertirse en astronauta e ir al espacio, contra todo pronóstico.

Greetings dear movie lovers, welcome to my blog and the #MoviesTVShow community. I wish you a happy day. Today I would like to recommend you watch this inspiring film based on the life of José Hernandez, whose origins are very modest and who, with effort and work, achieved his dream of becoming an astronaut and going to space, against all odds.

José procedía de una familia mexicana que emigró a Estados Unidos y que trabajaba cosechando la tierra en los campos de california, donde hubíera trabajo la familia se trasladaba, por lo que José nunca duraba mucho tiempo en un colegio a pesar de ser un excelente estudiante, aprendió a hablar inglés a los doce años, le gustaba la matemática. Gracias a una de sus maestras la señora Young, quién habló con sus padres y les enfatizó la importancia del estudio para sus hijos y la facilidad de José para la ciencia y la matemática, ellos decidieron establecerse en un lugar, así José llegó a graduarse como Ingeniero, el primer universitario en su familia.

José came from a Mexican family that emigrated to the United States and worked harvesting land in the fields of California. Wherever there was work the family moved, so José never lasted long in school despite being an excellent student. He learned to speak English at the age of twelve and he liked math. Thanks to one of his teachers, Mrs. Young, who spoke to his parents and emphasized the importance of studying for their children and José's talent for science and math, they decided to settle in one place, and so José graduated as an engineer, the first university graduate in his family.

Después de ver en la televisión el lanzamiento de cohetes de la Nasa al espacio, siendo apenas un niño, José tenía el sueño de ser astronauta, así que luego de graduarse de Ingeniero aplicó para trabajar en la Nasa, pero fue rechazado, sin embargo él nunca se rindió y aplicó 11 veces, la doceava vez fue aceptado.

After watching NASA rockets launch into space on television, as a child, José had the dream of being an astronaut, so after graduating as an engineer he applied to work at NASA, but was rejected. However, he never gave up and applied 11 times, and the twelfth time he was accepted.

Para lograr una meta hay que enfocarse y trabajar en el objetivo, José se preparó para tener un oportunidad de ser aceptado en la Nasa, hizo cursos de buceo, aprendió a pilotear aviones, entre otras actividades que se requerían para ser astronauta, él sabía que la competencia era dura y allí afuera había muchas personas capacitadas y con excelentes habilidades.

To achieve a goal you have to focus and work on the objective. José prepared himself to have a chance to be accepted into NASA. He took diving courses, learned to pilot airplanes, among other activities that were required to be an astronaut. He knew that the competition was tough and out there there were many qualified people with excellent skills.

En la película también nos cuentan sobre su vida familiar, la relación que tuvo con sus padres y sobre su matrimonio. josé siempre contó con el apoyo de su familia, ellos lo alentaron para lograr su sueño. Pese a superar todas las dificultades José fue aceptado en la Nasa y logró ir en el año 2009 a una misión de 13 días a la Estación Internacional Espacial.

The film also tells us about his family life, his relationship with his parents and his marriage. José always had the support of his family, who encouraged him to achieve his dream. Despite overcoming all the difficulties, José was accepted into NASA and managed to go on a 13-day mission to the International Space Station in 2009.

Lo que me encantó de la película es que nos muestran que para lograr un sueño hay que trabajar y enfocarse en la meta, a José nada le cayó por suerte, él hizo lo que debía, estudiar y prepararse para el éxito. Esta película no tuvo mucho presupuesto por lo que nos vas a ver grandes efectos especiales, pero es muy inspiradora y hermosa.

What I loved about the movie is that it shows us that to achieve a dream you have to work and focus on the goal. Nothing fell to José by chance, he did what he had to do, study and prepare for success. This movie didn't have a big budget so you won't see any big special effects, but it is very inspiring and beautiful.
