We usually listen to a song and fly to a moment or stage of life, either sad or happy. With music we celebrate love, friendship and vibrate with it. To me they bring back many memories of my home, my siblings and parents. Above all, the melodies associated with a special movie for us. Since I was a child, I have been fascinated by movies, as have my siblings and family. We are movie buffs, we were always on the lookout for film releases.
In the month of December, there were usually the big movie premieres. My parents would take us to the movies on December 25, or on January 1 and 6. We looked forward to these trips to the movies with popcorn and soft drinks and dinner. This is how we taught our nephews and my son Jesus. It was exciting to go out all together to enjoy a movie. As a teenager, I was lucky enough to live through the 70s and 80s. According to some people and my point of view, they were the best years in terms of music and cinema.
Asking permission to go to the movies with my girlfriends was a bit difficult. My older brother was very strict. But I would still fall in love with him and tell dad and he would always give us permission. Wow, what a great time... We used to go out as a big group: siblings, friends and friends of friends. The group in my neighborhood, most of them, were “empatados” as we Venezuelans say. They got married, have grandchildren and are still together. I, actually, had lovers but nothing serious. My mind was elsewhere.
The three melodies that I bring you, perhaps the young people do not know them, but they are emblematic in my life and beautiful memories of my cousins, brothers and friends. Some of them are no longer in the physical plane. However, they occupy a special place. I am going to take advantage of my “Music and more music” space to bring these famous tunes and movie tunes. Some of them have won several awards for these songs. To share it with #Music friends and those participating in #Three Tune Tuesday with friend @ablaze.

This musical selection I dedicate to my loquitas, or my inner self, or inner child, whatever you want to call them. To them who have accompanied me since I was a child in my madness and know my fears. Also my dreams and desires, very intimate. Only they know the reason for my joys and sorrows. To Beckyta, the little mouse in the library. To Paraulata, the girl with a lot of swing. To Rebeca, the enterprising woman, inquisitive and always looking for a reason for things.
Rebeca is known as @mafalda2018 in this virtual world for those who don't know me. I am the inseparable friend of those extroverted and talented girls. I turn on my time machine to celebrate my life and bring you the tune that occupies position one of my Top Three. It's a special tune that has stayed in my heart and it's the theme of an old movie. OMG, I dropped my ID, 46 years ago. The greatest love of my life was the main character, Robby Benson.
All the girls of my time and friends were in love with this actor. Those who had boyfriends argued with them. The poor little guys were so ugly and wanted to compete with Robby Benson. And they asked themselves: what does he have that I don't have? What, gizzard, cousin! How do the Maracuchos say? They forced them to take them to the movies, but they won because my friends cried on their shoulders.

This film won in 1879 an Oscar for best song. I leave you the melody "Through the Eyes of Love", it is part of the soundtrack of the film "Ice Castles". Song by Melissa Manchester, lyrics by Carole Bayer Sagery composition by Marvin Hamlisch.

I'm a die-hard romantic. wuao! one of the most beautiful movies I've ever enjoyed. I know I dropped my cedula but that doesn't matter. My heart flutters with excitement remembering my younger days.

The post Two is for a melody known as: “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You”, by Bryan Adams. It is the main theme of the movie “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves”. Wuao! So many memories come to my mind. For starters I love Robin Hood, all the films I've seen even the Disney cartoons. Enjoy this musical classic.

I really liked this Robin Hood film from 1991. Especially because there is feeling between Robin and Lady Marian. For me, the best performance is that of the evil Sheriff of Nottingham.

Roxette cinema and the song: “It Must Have Been Love”, occupies the third place. It is a song from the soundtrack of the famous movie “Pretty Woman” from 1990, the love story of Vivian and Edward. This film starred another of my loves, the American actor Richard Gere, one of the most beautiful and elegant men in Hollywood and together with the actress Julia Roberts, made this movie a classic film.

“It Must Have Been Love”, was released in the album of the same name, in 1987. It is one of my favorite melodies, as I always say, it is love that moves the world, even if human beings do not recognize it.

The Venezuelan ñapa that I bring you is a theme from the soundtrack of a classic film, the movie with Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, known as “The Bodyguard”. A spectacular love story, but impossible, but worth living it intensely to keep in memory the happy moments together. It is difficult to find love and letting it go is much more difficult.
I guess you already know which melody it is, because I am in the first places, and it is called: “I Will Always Love You”. It was released in 1992.

Whitney Houston had an imposing and incomparable voice. Her concerts were spectacular. All her melodies are beautiful, but “I Will Always Love You” is one of my favorites. The movie “The Bodyguard” for me, is a classic film. It is another love story that will last in time.
My loves of the #Music community, it's never too late to love, to be passionate about something and above all to risk to live intensely. Don't stop dreaming and smiling even in great difficulties. Maybe you think I'm crazy, but I'm not. Age and experience have left me with great life lessons and that is why I tell you to live, love without measure and regardless of tomorrow. Afterwards, come what may, because no one can take away what we have lived.

Algunos seres humanos, entre los cuales me incluyo, generalmente escuchamos una canción y volamos a un momento o etapa de vida, tanto tristes o alegres. Con la música celebramos el amor, la amistad y vibramos con ella. A mí me traen muchos recuerdos de mi hogar, mis hermanos y padres. Sobre todo, las melodías asociadas a una película especial para nosotros. Desde niña me fascinó el cine, al igual que a mis hermanos y familia. Somos cinéfilos, siempre estuvimos pendientes de los estrenos de los filmes.
En el mes de diciembre, generalmente se realizaban los grandes estrenos cinematográficos. Mis padres nos llevaban al cine el 25 de diciembre, o el 01 y 6 de enero. Esperábamos con ansias estas salidas al cine con cotufas y refrescos y a cenar. Así enseñamos a nuestros sobrinos y a mi hijo Jesús. Era emocionante salir todos juntos a disfrutar de una película. En mi etapa de adolescencia, tuve la suerte de vivir los años 70 y 80. Según algunas personas y mi punto de vista, fueron los mejores años en cuanto a la música y al cine.
Pedir permiso para ir al cine con mis amigas era un poco difícil. Mi hermano mayor era muy estricto. Pero igual yo lo enamoraba y le decía a papá y él siempre nos daba permiso. ¡Wuao, qué tiempos tan lindos!… Solíamos salir un grupo bastante grande: hermanos, amigos y amigos de amigos. El grupo de mi barrio, la mayoría, estaban “empatados” como decimos los venezolanos. Se casaron, tienen nietos y todavía están juntos. Yo, en realidad, tuve enamorados pero nada serios. Mi mente estaba en otros lados.
Las tres melodías que les traigo, quizás los jóvenes no las conozcan, pero son emblemáticas en mi vida y hermosos recuerdos de mis primos, hermanos y amigos. Algunos ya no están en el plano físico. Sin embargo, ocupan un lugar especial. Voy a aprovechar de mi espacio de “Música y más música” para traer estas melodías famosas y del cine. Algunas de ellas han ganado varios premios por estas canciones. Para compartirla con los amigos de #Music y de los que participan en #Three Tune Tuesday con el amigo @ablaze.

Esta selección musical se las dedico a mis loquitas, o mi yo interior, o niño interior, como las quieran llamar. A ellas que me acompañan desde niña en mis locuras y conocen mis temores. También mis sueños y anhelos, muy íntimos. Solo ellas saben el motivo de mis alegrías y tristezas. A Beckyta, el ratoncito de la biblioteca. A la Paraulata, la chica del son y con mucho swing. A Rebeca, la mujer emprendedora, preguntona y buscando siempre un porqué de las cosas.
Rebeca es conocida como @mafalda2018 en este mundo virtual para los que no me conocen. Soy la amiga inseparable de esas chicas extrovertidas y talentosas. Enciendo mi máquina del tiempo para celebrar mi vida y traerles la melodía que ocupa la posición uno de mi Top tres. Es una melodía especial, que se quedó en mi corazoncito y es el tema de una película viejita. OMG, se me cayó la cédula, de hace 46 años. El amor más grande de mi vida, fue el protagonista, Robby Benson.
Todas las chicas de mi época y amigas estaban enamoradas de este actor. Las que tenían novios discutían con ellos. Los pobrecitos eran tan feos y querían competir con Robby Benson. Y se preguntaban: ¿qué tiene el que no tenga yo? ¡Qué, molleja, primo! ¿Cómo dicen los maracuchos? Los obligaron a llevarlas al cine, pero ellos salieron ganando porque mis amiguis, lloraron en sus hombros.

Soy una romántica empedernida. ¡Wuao! una de las películas más bellas que he disfrutado. Sé que se me cayó la cédula pero eso no importa. Mi corazón se agita de la emoción recordando mis días de juventud.

El puesto Dos es para una melodía conocida como: “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You”, de Bryan Adams. Es el tema principal de la película “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves”. ¡Wuao! Tantos recuerdos vienen a mi mente. Para comenzar yo amo a Robin Hood, todos los filmes los he visto hasta los dibujos animados de Disney. Disfruten de este clásico de la música.

¿Quién no ha soñado con un príncipe azul? Todas alguna vez en la vida, de ese hombre galante, lindo y con Money. Esta película es un clásico en la historia del cine.

La ñapa venezolana que les traigo es un tema de la banda sonora de un clásico del cine, la película con Whitney Houston y Kevin Costner, conocida como “The Bodyguard”. Una espectacular historia de amor, pero imposible, pero que vale la pena vivirla intensamente para guardar en la memoria los momentos felices juntos. Es difícil encontrar un amor y dejarlo ir es mucho más difícil.
Me imagino que ya saben ¿cuál melodía es?, pues ocupo los primeros lugares, y se llama: “I Will Always Love You”. Fue lanzada en el año 1992.

Whitney Houston tenía una voz imponente e inigualable. Sus conciertos eran espectaculares. Todas sus melodías son hermosas, pero “I Will Always Love You”, es una de mis preferidas. La película “The Bodyguard” para mí, es un clásico del cine. Es otra de las historias de amor que perduraran en el tiempo.
Mis amores de la comunidad #Music, nunca es tarde para amar, apasionarse por algo y sobre todo arriesgarse a vivir intensamente. No dejen de soñar y sonreír aún en las grandes dificultades. Quizás me crean loquita, pero no es así. La edad y la experiencia, me han dejado grandes enseñanzas de vida y por eso les digo que vivan, amen sin medida y sin importar el mañana. Después, que venga lo que venga, porque lo vivido nadie nos lo quita.
Lo único que es relevante, es que quedan los recuerdos y los latidos acelerados de un corazón que amo mucho. Sobre todo, quedan las melodías que nos hicieron vibrar, soñar y volar. Los invito a participar en el #Three Tune Tuesday con el amigo @ablaze.
