Cine TV Contest #110 - Favorite Supernatural Movie: The Chronicles of Narnia (ESP/ENG)
Hello friends, it's been a long time since I participated in this contest but I wanted to join this week because I really like movies that have to do with things about nature or fantasy. I decided to choose The Chronicles of Narnia for several reasons, so without further ado, let's get started!
Hola amigos, hace mucho tiempo que yo no participaba en este concurso pero quise unirme esta semana porque me gustan mucho las películas que tienen que ver con cosas sobre naturales o fantásticas. Yo decidí elegir Las Crónicas de Narnia por varias razones, así que sin más dilación, ¡Comencemos!
I chose the Chronicles of Narnia even over Harry Potter which is my favorite saga 😍 because S. S. Lewis (the author of the novels) showed us a wonderful universe in which fantastic creatures coexist with humans and these humans are seen as their hope. The Chronicles of Narnia, both in the book and in its movie version, also keeps an important parallelism with the bible, Aslan (the great lion) is presented to us as a kind of messiah, like Jesus, These disgusting creatures humiliate him before killing him, they cut off his hair, just as Christ was stripped of his garments, and just after, when the evil white witch thought she had defeated him, he was resurrected to accompany his army and thus free Narnia from the dominion of evil. Already in the later films we see that Aslan will not allow Susan and Peter to enter Narnia because they are growing up, and this refers to the words of Jesus in the bible, “to enter heaven you must be innocent as a child”.
Elegí las crónicas de Narnia incluso por encima de Harry Potter que es mi saga favorita 😍 debido a que S.S Lewis (el autor de las novelas) nos mostró un universo maravilloso en el cual criaturas fantásticas coexisten con los humanos y estos seres humanos son vistos como su esperanza, las Crónicas de Narnia, tanto en el libro como en su versión cinematográfica, guarda además un paralelismo importante con la biblia, Aslan (el gran león) se nos presenta como una especie de mesías, como Jesús, quien se entrega en sacrificio a los impíos para expiar las culpas del pecador, Edmund, lo hizo por amor, estas criaturas repugnantes lo humillan antes de matarlo, le cortan su melena, tal como a cristo lo despojaron de sus vestiduras, y justo después, cuando la malvada bruja blanca creía que lo había vencido, él resucitó para acompañar a su ejercito y de esta forma liberar Narnia del dominio del mal. Ya en las posteriores películas vemos que Aslan no permitirá la entrada a Narnia de Susan y Peter debido a que están creciendo, y esto hace referencia a las palabras de Jesús en la biblia, "para entrar al cielo debes ser inocente como un niño"
In The Voyage of the Dawn Treader we find other aspects that are very typical of human beings, disbelief, for example, and greed, two elements that characterize Eustance (the cousin of the Pevencie brothers). That is why it is so hard for human beings to be happy in real life, because most of them are willing to believe only in what they can see and touch, but they are not willing to give up everything for a cause, to get rid of greed. Narnia shows us a universe that seems different and totally alien to ours, but as we get to know it we realize that we are not really so different.
En La Travesía del viajero del Alba encontramos otros aspectos que son muy típicos del ser humano, la incredulidad, por ejemplo y la avaricia, dos elementos que caracterizan a Eustance (el primo de los hermanos Pevencie) Por eso mismo al ser humano le cuesta tanto ser feliz en la vida real, porque en su mayoría está dispuesto creer solo en lo que puede ver y tocar y en cambio no está dispuesto dejarlo todo por una causa, a deshacerse de la codicia. Narnia nos muestra un universo que parece distinto y totalmente ajeno al nuestro, pero a medida que lo vamos conociendo nos damos cuenta de que realmente no somos tan diferentes.
Well, those are the main reasons why I like the Narnia movies, because they are supernatural events that in turn are linked to the real world in a certain way. Thank you very much for creating this space where we can express ourselves, thank you for your attention, see you next time.
