Sounds like a rather common idea for a movie, but I'll give it the benefits of a doubt that the delivery would be better than it sounds in my head.

However, a part of me feels like I've seen the movie; usually don't really keep track unless a movie is largely exceptional, but to answer your question, the gang clearly lied and used the girl, so if I were in her shoes, they'd all go down.

Notwithstanding, it is the nature of the job of being a police man/spy, the risk is always ultimately getting killed, and the gang can pretty much be justified to have killed her father, given that he was an enemy to them.
