Orión y la Oscuridad (2024) - ¿una película prometedora de Dreamworks?
No he visto muchas película recientemente porque el tiempo no me lo permite y en mis ratos libres veo Greys Anatomy que desde que comencé a trabajar se volvió mi serie de confort, es decir, esa que pongo para todo en especial cuando estoy haciendo algo que lleve mucho tiempo, como es una serie tan larga siento que no es necesario prestarle tanta atención para entender, pero de vez en cuando veo algunas pelicula que se me hacen llamativas, cómo está, que asemeja ser una película de terror para niños, llamada Onion y La Oscuridad
Orion es un niño que básicamente le teme a todo, desde actividades cotidianas como otras súper elaboradas de algo tonto que podría pasar, pero a lo que más le teme es a la oscuridad. Gracias a esto, la oscuridad nunca tiene paz, ya que es de lo más temido por los niños, así que está dispuesto a hacer todo lo posible para que Orion que es su mayor temor, le deje de tener miedo y se den cuenta de lo valioso que es, es por eso que se van a una aventura, donde conocen a más entes misteriosos que están en la oscuridad.
La premisa de la trama me gustó y la parte de los dibujos me hizo recordar al “Diario de Grew” pero a medida que pasaba no me terminaba de encantar, el mensaje principal que pensé que tenía la historia se perdió y se convirtió en una historia familiar, no una película en cómo un niño miedoso hasta de respirar calma o logra controlar esos temores.
Al principio vemos cómo Orion es un niño común y corriente que ve todo tan exagerando y gigante porque así son los niños, para ellos todo es un cuento, pero resulta que realmente es un cuento lo que estamos viendo, el mismo Orion le está contando a su hija la historia de cómo venció su temor a la oscuridad el cual ella también tiene, pero cada vez la historia se va volviendo más fantasiosa y ella le cambia totalmente su enfoque, para mi fue ahí cuando se perdió, lo interesante de la historia, me hubiera gustado si está fuera una historia mas enfocada en los miedos y si le podían agregar el final de que es una historia para terminar en familia y que cada hijo le agrega el final, es algo sumamente lindo, pero sin perdernos del tema principal o lo que muchos asumieron.
Se que es una película para niños, y a veces no hay que buscarle tanta profundidad a dichas películas, pero para mi, algo que empezó súper bien a la mitad se perdió, claro igual la disfruté y me gustó, pero siendo objetiva alejándome de la linda animación, se sintió muy vacía, pero en especial porque al principio conectas y después ni entiendes qué pasa.

Orion is a boy who is basically afraid of everything, from everyday activities to super elaborate ones to something silly that could happen, but what he fears the most is the dark. Thanks to this, the darkness never has peace, since it is the most feared by children, so he is willing to do everything possible so that Orion, which is his greatest fear, stops being afraid of him and they realize how valuable that it is, that is why they go on an adventure, where they meet more mysterious entities that are in the dark.
I liked the premise of the plot and the part of the drawings reminded me of “Grew's Diary” but as it went on I didn't end up loving it, the main message that I thought the story had was lost and was It became a family story, not a movie about how a child afraid to even breathe calms down or manages to control those fears.
At first we see how Orion is an ordinary child who sees everything as exaggerated and gigantic because that's how children are, for them everything is a story, but it turns out that what we are seeing is really a story, Orion himself is telling her daughter the story of how she overcame her fear of the dark which she also has, but each time the story becomes more fantastical and she completely changes her focus, for me that was when she got lost, the interesting thing about the story, I would have liked it if it were a story more focused on fears and if they could add the ending that it is a story to end as a family and that each child adds the ending, it is something extremely nice, but without losing the main theme or what many assumed.
I know that it is a movie for children, and sometimes you don't have to look for so much depth in these movies, but for me, something that started very well was lost in the middle, of course I still enjoyed it and I liked it, but being objective, moving away from the cute animation, it felt very empty, but especially because at first you connect and then you don't even understand what's happening.
Exactamente nos pasó lo mismo, la vimos con mis hijos y a mitad de pelicula parecia que estabamos viendo otra cosa, como tu pienso que las películas infantiles no deben ser tan complicadas pero eso no es así en estos tiempos, pero acá lo que pudo ser algo genial sobre superar tus miedos se convirtió en otra cosa.
Jajajaja vi la película y me uno a sus comentarios. Confieso que me fascinó, pero tiene sus detalles como bien lo dices.
Mis hijos la vieron hace poco pero les costo terminarla de ver, pienso que la trama tiene un buen comienzo pero despues se torna algo aburrida, aun asi es una pleicula divertida para pasar un buen momento familiar.
