CCC's Street Art Contest #220: Beautiful Street Art in Playa del Carmen - The Movie 'Léon'

Yesterday, my youngest son and I were in the city to celebrate Halloween. We got there quite early, and when it got busier we decided to make our way to the bus stop. We walked through one of the streets, and just opposite from a tattoo shop, there's a long wall with some street art. The art is made by people from the tattoo shop. I've always been quite impressed by it, but I never took the time to actually take photos. Well, this time I did. And I figured, what better place to share it than here? So here we go!

Jean Reno and Natalie Portman, from the movie Léon

I've always loved this movie, and have probably seen it 4 or 5 times. The acting in it is just superb. both by Jean Reno and Natalie Portman, who was only about 12 or so in here.

So when I first saw the street art, I was quite impressed, because it looks very much like them.
There are some other images of them on the side of this one, but I love this one the most.
It's not even perfect, and that might just be the beauty of it. But I can see that the artist in question takes pride in his/her work because it's not a small piece. I don't think I'd even be able to draw those faces, let alone spray paint it on a wall and make it look good.

I figured I'd share a video with the complete work in it as well, even though the above is my favorite.

This video is mine

Danny Trejo

Another piece on the same street is one of Danny Trejo, which is also nice. I'm not sure who the guy next to him is. 😆

The street has a few more pieces, but I don't know any of the characters in it. Either way, I believe the one of Jean Reno and Natalie Portman is the best.

And now I have to watch the movie again...
