La Mesías o cómo cerrar heridas abiertas (esp/eng)

Hola amigos de Hive, acabo de ver lo que para mí constituye una de las mejores series del año.

Dirigida a cuatro manos por los ya míticos Javier Ambrossi y Javier Calvo e inspirada en el grupo de música pop Flos Mariae, utilizado como pretexto para discursar sobre el fanatismo religioso y la hipocresía imperante en ciertos círculos, nos adentra en la vida de Enric e Irene que, a partir del visionado de un video viral de un grupo de pop cristiana, emprenden la búsqueda de su madre y sus hermanas, todo lo cual, los lleva a mirar al pasado y repasar lo que ha sido sus infancias, descubriendo traumas escondidos, tratando de cerrar heridas.

De esta forma, los Javis, como se les conoce en el gremio artístico, abordan sin tapujos temas tan trascendentales como el de la familia, la identidad, la madurez, los traumas y la búsqueda personal.

Desde el capítulo uno sabemos que no estamos en presencia de una serie al uso, por el contrario, el empaque visual y la factura muy cuidada, nos delata que estaremos asistiendo a la madurez artística de estos dos imprescindibles de la escena española. La serie tiene la capacidad de mantenerte en vilo desde el minuto uno hasta el último, te agarra por el cuello y no suelta hasta el final.

Es cruel, angustiosa, despiadada pero definitivamente hermosa. Sí, he escrito hermosa y lo planteo con total conciencia de su significación a nivel estético; pues me resulta sumamente hermoso el arco de los personajes protagónicos, ese viaje a la semilla, a los orígenes, el saber que lo que somos hoy es el resultado de lo que fuimos cuando niños, que los traumas del pasado nos persiguen y en ese bregar descubrimos que para poder sanar heridas abiertas tenemos que reconciliarnos con nosotros mismos, tenemos que perdonarnos y por supuesto, tenemos que hablarlo.

Ese reencontrarse con uno mismo, en ese viaje lleno de aprendizajes y de evolución me resulta extremadamente hermoso. Todas estas sensaciones que despertó en mí la serie, se le debe, en gran medida a las excelentes actuaciones de actores y actrices. En primer lugar los protagonistas: Irene y Enric, son interpretados por Macarena García y Roger Casamajor (aquí se revela como un excelentísimo actor), los cuales hacen una dupla compleja, llena de contradicciones, traumas y culpas.

Por su parte, Ana Rujas, Lola Dueñas y Carmen Machi, representan a Monserrat Baró, la madre de Enric e Irene en la infancia, adolescencia y en la vida de adultos respectivamente.

Ojalá que en la temporada de premios de este año, reconozcan el trabajo encomiable de estos actores y actrices, que a mi modo de ver, están de diez.
Otro aspecto a destacar lo constituye su excelente fotografía, cuidada al detalle, donde la iluminación hace lo suyo, que unida a las angulaciones aportan significativamente al relato. En su escritura se nota la férrea investigación por parte de los Javis, en la que se aprecia, dedicación y sutileza.

In this way, the Javis, as they are known in the artistic guild, deal openly with transcendental themes such as family, identity, maturity, trauma and personal search.

From chapter one we know that we are not in the presence of a series to use, on the contrary, the visual packaging and the very careful invoice, gives us away that we will be witnessing the artistic maturity of these two essential of the Spanish scene. The series has the ability to keep you in suspense from the first to the last minute, it grabs you by the neck and does not let go until the end.

It is cruel, distressing, merciless but definitely beautiful. Yes, I have written beautiful and I say it with full awareness of its significance at an aesthetic level; because I find the arc of the main characters extremely beautiful, that journey to the seed, to the origins, the knowledge that what we are today is the result of what we were as children, that the traumas of the past haunt us and in that struggle we discover that in order to heal open wounds we have to reconcile with ourselves, we have to forgive ourselves and of course, we have to talk about it.

That reencounter with oneself, in that journey full of learning and evolution is extremely beautiful to me. All these sensations that the series awakened in me are due, to a great extent, to the excellent performances of the actors and actresses. First of all, the main characters: Irene and Enric, are played by Macarena García and Roger Casamajor (here he reveals himself as an excellent actor), who make a complex duo, full of contradictions, traumas and guilt.

Ana Rujas, Lola Dueñas and Carmen Machi play Monserrat Baró, Enric and Irene's mother in childhood, adolescence and adult life respectively.

Hopefully, this year's awards season will recognize the commendable work of these actors and actresses, who in my opinion, are ten of ten.
Another aspect to highlight is its excellent photography, carefully taken care of in detail, where the lighting does its thing, which together with the angles contribute significantly to the story. The Javis' iron research, in which dedication and subtlety can be appreciated, is evident in the writing.
