Halloween Contest Winners Announcement!

Helloooo! I hope you all had a fun Halloween month and of course Halloween night! The contest ran for a good week and I was surprised to see so many people appear out of nowhere to contribute to it. There were some really fun submissions over the week, and it took me a while to find the time to really sit down and read through them all and choose the winners. I did something a bit different this time as I couldn't really afford to be throwing out large sums of HBD like I used to. If you read and submitted to the contest, then you would have noticed that there was no reward for the winners announced. I was trying to think of something I could do to still give something, and decided to hand out a little bit of Hive to the top three submissions. While also dedicating 100% of this post's rewards.

Anyway, let's dive into the top submissions!

1st place:

This is the most solid aspect to criticize and that would have enriched the story because we are given a young woman with many good feelings, too many for my taste and in reality people are not quite like that because many hate old age and even wish the death of that being to get out of that burden, I think a little evil in his intention but that was demonstrated, that we were seen with forcefulness, was added a better dynamic of history especially in the first act that I think is too slow and it takes too long to establish the characters.

2nd place:

I love slashers, I will not get tired of repeating it, this kind of repetitive stories when they are good I find them very funny and although this is a slow film, as it takes its time to evolve a murderer that from the power of his ear and his memories, he can explore and hunt his victims. In a Violent Nature, it is not an original film and it is clear that its director and screenwriter did not want to do something considered new, but that if it adds something to the genre and I think he has achieved it by using an idea that has been explored very little, I think that in "Halloween", the original and the one released in 2018, we can observe that perspective of the murderer, but not in such an extensive way as it happens in this film; the other thing is that it is not limited and there is a good use of imagination to make shocking scenes, as well as that of specific sounds to make a scene more forceful, I appreciated that a lot as well as the end, an epilogue that does something different in what we have seen in the film, but necessary to create tension and suspense. This is a good film, possibly being more of the same, you will not find something good to say, but I think it is a great job of its director and screenwriter, as it has the courage to revitalize what has already been done.

3rd place:

This film combines science fiction and horror with a slight touch of comedy and sarcasm, where we can see a closet drinking priest and even a child who takes the attitude of an adult. I found this film interesting at first, although with some gaps such as lack of blood, taking into account that it is about vampires. On the other hand, the music is crucial in any film, with more impact in the horror genre, I think it lacked forcefulness, the scenes could have been even scarier if the music had been good. If you like classic vampire movies, this is a good choice for you.

I want to get the community moving a bit more again and conduct more of these contests, so keep your eyes ready for the upcoming Christmas contest. Maybe even hold off from posting any Christmas film or television series reviews until you see that announcement!
