Doctor Dolittle Movie Review.
Hello Hivers. Hope everyone is well .I recently rewatched an old favorite film after many years, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The movie is named Doctor Dolittle and the movie was released in 1998. This movie has total 2 parts. Today, I'll share my thoughts on the first part of this beloved film, which holds a special place in the hearts of both me and my elder brother.
So the main plot of this movie is Dr. John Dolittle is a doctor but he has a special ability he can talk to all animals and birds. And for this special ability of his, he had to face various problems from childhood till now. His father first noticed this symptom when John Dolittle was talking to his pet dog, but it later caused him to suffer a miscarriage. Because of which his father sold their dog.
The story begins many years later, featuring John Dolittle, his wife Lisa Dolittle, his older daughter Maya Dolittle, and younger daughter Charisse Dolittle. Now John Dolittle is a very experienced doctor and he doesn't talk to any animals anymore.
But years later, after a near-fatal car accident, Dolittle hits his head and regains his long-lost ability to talk to animals. This newfound skill complicates his life as he starts hearing animals from all walks of life talking to him. He seeks the help of a therapist, played by Oliver Platt, but eventually embraces his gift.
As the story unfolds, John Dolittle finds himself solving various problems of animals and birds. Sadly, his family begins to believe he's gone mad, leading to his wife leaving him for a doctor . " But, he eventually returns. But the story at the end of the movie is a little different, where John Dolittle steps in to solve a tiger problem. He operated on him to cure him and at that time everyone believed his ability to talk to the animal and John Dolittle performed the operation on the tiger correctly.
The movie gives us a big message that friendships and deep bonds can form between humans and animals. the importance of communication and understanding.
Speaking of acting in the movie, Eddie Murphy played John Dolittle here. He has acted wonderfully. His style of talking especially with animals, jokes, everything was amazing. Everyone else's acting was pretty good.
If you find yourself with some free time, I highly recommend watching "Doctor Dolittle" with friends or family. It's a film suitable for all audiences, devoid of adult or violent scenes.
