Movie review : Abigail
Hollywood vampire movies are in good demand to the audience. And each is a very successful movie. Among which my favorite movies are Underworld, Blade: Trinity, Underworld: Awakening, The Little Vampire, Twilight etc. I don't even remember the names of all of them. I also like this kind of movies and with that hope I saw the vampire movie Abigail released in 2024. This movie of 1 hour 49 minutes was released on April 19. And its current IMDB rating is 6.7/10.
I watched the movie last night. We had severe power outages here due to the storm. So I chose this movie to pass the time. But my hope about the movie was not much because the main story of the movie has been shown in the trailer of the movie. I watched the movie to know the rest of the suspense of the movie.

The story of the movie is that some mercenaries kidnap a rich man's daughter to demand a huge amount of ransom money from the girl's father. The girl's name is Abigail. But those mercenaries, while putting the girl in a trap, unknowingly fall into the trap laid by the girl. The girl is basically a vampire. And at one stage he attacks everyone. And the story is made about how those mercenaries survive from that vampire.

The story is very simple. It doesn't even come close to what we expect from a vampire or horror type movie. That's what I think. Karan is the normal horror type movie that kids shouldn't be scared of. There is no horror type part in the 49 minutes of the movie. And in the rest of the vampire, he is seen in a very small amount. The entire movie focuses on Joey (Melissa Barrera) followed by Abigail (
Alisha Weir). There were other members too but their screen time was very less and I found their acting to be average. Since Melissa Barrera and Alisha Weir have been given more time, they try to give it their all. I love Alisha Weir's performance as a vampire.
The movie is mostly shot indoors, so most of the scenes have an overabundance of yellow lights. The sound quality is very good but when Abigail takes the form of a vampire, the sound of the vampire sounds very low to me. Moreover, there are no adult scenes in it. Yes, being a horror movie, there are enough gory scenes but that too is not effective. You can watch the movie with your family.If you've seen it, let us know what you think by commenting.
I found this movie more entertaining than horror itself. I liked it but I didn't love it, I would have liked to see it without having seen the trailer first since it shows a lot in it.
For me this movie is a 6/10 I know it's shocking the way How they show how the kidnapping goes down the drain because of a rather strange secret 🤣.
But I feel like the plot is more of the same although it's a wonderful point of a movie was the involvement of Gus 🤣.
