Hello everyone, how are you all? I watched X-Men '97 episode 5 a little late. The episode was released on 8th April and the 6th episode has already been released. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, X-Men '97 is one of Marvel's animated shows that released on March 20th, with a total of 10 episodes, with one released every week. I posted my personal opinion with spoilers for the previous 4 episodes on my blog and these episodes were released on Disney+.

Now let's come directly to the story. Here I will give some spoilers about this episode. Those who haven't seen it can skip this post.
So, this episode is not like the previous 4 episodes. There are scenes of love, misunderstanding, discovery and finally losing everything. Hence this episode is called "Remember". This episode mainly focuses on three people: Magneto, Rogue, and Gambit.

But then Genosha is attacked by some powerful Sentinels. Most of the fight scenes take place here and many mutants die. Magneto tries to save all the mutants, but in the end, we see Magneto and Gambit die at the hands of the Sentinels. The rest of the X-Men watch the destruction of Genosha on TV and the episode ends here.

The total episode is 34 minutes. After watching the first half, you might not want to watch much more, but the main attraction of this episode is the later part of the first half. For me, the death scenes of Magneto and Gambit are very poignant, and the scene where Rogue sits with Gambit's dead body is also very painful. Apart from this, the first part has some twisting scenes that we have seen in the X-Men movies, such as the relationship between Wolverine and Jean and the relationship between Jean and Scott, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Finally, it can be said that Episode 5 is a standout installment of "X-Men '97", combining action, emotion, and the X-Men's struggle for acceptance. It sets up intriguing questions for the future and leaves the audience satisfied and eager for more. If you see it, give your opinion.

This was one of my favorite cartoons when I was a kid. When I saw that it was available for leisurely viewing, I was thrilled. There you see more of the universe that inspired the movies.
