Siksa Neraka (2023) Movie Review: Torment of Hell
Hello everyone how are you all Today I came back from university and did nothing but play games and watch movies. Today's exam was quite tricky. I was very worried. Anyway the test went well. So I watched a movie in the afternoon to relax and to say the least, until writing this post, I played games. First, I watched one of my favorite movies, baby Boss, . After watching the movie, I feel very bad. Anyone who has seen the movie will understand what I am talking about. Siksa Neraka is an Indonesian horror type movie. The movie is released in 2023. It currently has an IMDB rating of 4.5/10. And there is a reason why its rating is so low. I think this movie is not a horror movie. Here is a symbolic picture of what will be the punishment in Hell if those who believe in Islam religion commit sins. And because of this religion, this movie has been banned in many countries.
I am describing the main story of the movie very briefly. The story is about an Indonesian imam and his family. His family consists of himself, his wife and four children. But 3 out of four children do not practice religion properly. Some of them do various kinds of misdeeds. But their father doesn't know that. One day when someone died in their neighboring village, their father was called there. His wife also went there with him.
In between, their children went to sing in concerts. During this time they fell into the river due to rain and 3 died and 1 was in a coma. When the dead 3 wake up they find that they have gone to a place called hell where many people are being punished in various ways. And they were also caught and punished. The remaining 1 person who went into coma also went there. I mean hell. But he is not punished but sent back. And he came alive and brought himself up in the way of Islam with his parents.
It basically means very simply that if you do not follow the path of religion then what will you suffer in hell. However, Islam here refers to all religions. The movie is like 1 hour 27 minutes and I am watching it completely. A wonderful movie. A very simple movie with a very big message. I like everyone's performance. Here each character refers to the people in our family, society and their work. It gives an idea of what kind of work we are doing and what kind of punishment we will get after death.
Now to those of a different religion this may seem a little too extreme. Or to those who do not follow any religion, it may seem unnecessary or just a bit of movie plot. But this is the reality for people who believe in religion like me.
There is no horror type scene in the beginning of the movie. After 30 minutes it's just that hellish story. Which is very deadly level. People who are afraid of blood or who don't like this type of story should not watch it. I wouldn't say it's something you watch during your relaxation time. You can watch the movie if you like the plot.
