La importancia de realizar una investigación antes de abordar una comunidad para realizar un documental[ENG/ESP].

Greetings friends of Hive, I hope you are very well, today I come to comment on the second day of classes with Iranian filmmakers.

Saludos amigos de Hive, espero que se encuentren muy bien, en el día de hoy les vengo a comentar sobre el segundo día de clases con los cineastas Iraní.

Today we talked about research and the importance of this action in order to develop a good documentary.

En el día de hoy se habló de la investigación y lo importante de esta acción para poder desarrollar un buen documental.

Sometimes we have an idea and we do not record it without thinking about the consequences of recording on this topic and the implications that this may cause, taking into account that the audiovisual is a very large mass media, there is a big difference in the consequences of a topic when it is spoken among a certain number of people to when it is massified at the audiovisual level.

A veces tenemos una idea y no ponemos a grabarla sin pensar las consecuencias de grabar sobre este tema y las implicaciones que esto pueda ocasionar, tomando en cuenta que el audiovisual es medio de masificación muy grande, hay mucha diferencia las consecuencias de un tema cuando se habla entre una cierta cantidad de personas a cuando se masifica a nivel audiovisual.

Another precaution to take when researching the subject to be documented is the geographic situation and its consequences when traveling. Sometimes the documentary is filmed close to home and other times it is very long distances.

Otra precaución que se toma al investigar bien sobre el tema a documentar es la situación geográfica y sus consecuencias al viajar. A veces el documental se graba cerca de nuestro hogar y otras veces es a distancias muy largas.

The monetary capacity must also be evaluated: do I have the necessary resources to be able to develop this production? Many filmmakers have had to stop their productions because of this problem.

La capacidad monetaria también hay que evaluarla, ¿tengo los recursos necesarios para poder desarrollar esa producción?. Muchos cineastas han tenido que frenar sus producciones a causa de este problema.

Every country or city has its own laws, so it is important to research about recording permits, there are situations where many filmmakers have been imprisoned for not knowing the laws. Also the political situation of the country, what context is being lived in that place and what images captured can damage the professional career of the person who is recording.

Todo país o ciudad tienes sus leyes, por lo cual es importante investigar sobre los permisos de grabación, existen situaciones que por no saber las leyes muchos cineastas han caído presos. También la situación política del país, qué contexto se está viviendo en dicho lugar y qué imágenes capturadas pueden perjudicar la carrera profesional de la persona que está grabando.

The documentary is one of the options of choice for many filmmakers, it is a way of life and a way of approaching cinema, it is usually more economical and much easier to practice when it comes to technical resources, however, as you can see, it also has its technique and methodology of work.

El documental es una de las opciones a elegir de muchos cineastas, es una forma de vivir y una forma de abordar el cine, suele ser más económico y mucho más fácil de practicar cuando de recursos técnicos se habla, sin embargo, como pueden ver, también tiene su técnica y su metodología de trabajo.

This research system is the same that is done when one is going to post in any Hive community, normally one enters the community, read several posts, investigates its administrators and creators, evaluates which posts were voted and which were not, after this you make sure if the topic you had in mind works for that community or not, in this way the posts can be more successful, the community research system exists, and also has its techniques. I find it very interesting how it is developed both for film and for approaching Hive communities.

Este sistema de investigación es el mismo que se realiza cuando uno va a postear en alguna comunidad de Hive, normalmente uno entra a la comunidad, lee varios post, indaga en sus administradores y creadores, evalúa cuáles post fueron votados y cuáles no, luego de esto aseguras si el tema que tenías pensado funciona para esa comunidad o no, de esta forma los post pueden tener más éxito, el sistema de investigación comunitario existe, y también tiene sus técnicas. Me parece muy interesante como se desarrolla tanto para el cine y para abordar a las comunidades de Hive.
