Hello friends of the Movies & Tv community, today I saw a movie that came out in the year 2022 that seems to me that at the time generated many opinions especially for the performance of Andrea Riseborough as Lee, a woman full of many problems in her life where she had gone from having the "luckiest in the world" to having the worst luck at the same time. I found this movie on Magistv and it is on Netflix, when I saw that it was based on real facts I was more interested, especially for what I said above about the life of this woman named Lee who could have made better decisions in her past to have a better future but still we are human and we make mistakes, the thing is to want to improve for us and not for something or someone else. Hola amigos de la comunidad de Movies & Tv, el día de hoy ví una película que salió en el año 2022 que me parece que en su momento género muchas opiniones sobre todo por la actuación de Andrea Riseborough como Lee, una mujer llena de muchos problemas en su vida dónde había pasado de tener la "mayor suerte del mundo" a tener la peor suerte a la vez. Esta película la encontré en Magistv y se encuentra en Netflix, cuando ví que fue basada en hechos reales me llamo más la atención, sobre todo por lo que decía anteriormente sobre la vida de esta mujer llamada Lee quien pudo haber tomado mejores decisiones en su pasado para tener un mejor futuro pero aún así somos humanos y cometemos errores, la cosa está en querer mejorar por nosotros y no por algo o alguien más. Así que los invito a leer esta reseña.

But things do not go as planned, having so much money makes her want to squander it on things like alcohol and parties, of course this does not end well, not well at all and she is left without money, without a house, without her son and falls into one of the worst addictions such as alcohol.

The years go by and the ravages of alcohol in Lee's life become more and more noticeable, she lives in her own world where she can only think about the vice of alcohol, her body deteriorates in a critical way, drinking too much makes her lose the little money she gets for wanting to drink, her relationship with her parents is broken, She has no friends because everyone looks down on her for being a drunk, she can't get a job because of her constant drunkenness, she is really lost as a human being, she is in decline and the only thing she has left is her son who has grown up and with whom she has almost no contact. Due to so many problems in her behavior, she is thrown out of the place where she lived, a hotel in town, for not paying on time, which makes her decide to call her son and come to his help.

La película del año 2022 de género drama y cine independiente nos cuenta la historia basada en hechos reales de Lee una mujer de Texas que siempre había participado en la lotería con el número de nacimiento de su unico hijo y que un día que tal vez tuvo mucha suerte el número sale ganador y le dan 190 mil dólares lo cual la emociona mucho y sale en las noticias, todos están muy emocionados por ella y le preguntan personas de la televisión sobre que hará con el dinero, en su momento ella dice que se comprara su propia casa y le dará una mejor vida da a su hijo. Pero las cosas no salen como lo planeado, el tener tanto dinero la hace querer despilfarrarlo en cosas como el alcohol y fiestas, por supuesto esto no termina bien, para nada bien y ella se queda sin dinero, sin casa, sin su hijo y cae en una de las peores adicciones como lo es el alcohol.

Los años pasan y los estragos por el alcohol en la vida de Lee se van notando cada vez más, vive en su propio mundo dónde solo puede pensar en el vicio del alcohol, su cuerpo se deteriora de una manera crítica, beber demasiado hace que pierda el poco dinero que consigue por querer beber, su relación con sus padres está rota, no tiene amigos ya que todos la ven con malos ojos por ser una borracha, no consigue trabajo por su estado de ebriedad que es constante, realmente está perdida como ser humano está en la decadencia y lo único que le queda es su hijo el cual ya se ha vuelto mayor y con el que no tiene casi contacto. Debido a tantos problemas en su comportamiento la hechan del lugar donde vivía que era un hotel del pueblo por no pagar a tiempo, lo que la hace tomar la decisión de llamar a su hijo y acudir a su ayuda.

She tries, she thinks of her son and all the damage he has done to her and how she ruined her life to fill gaps that perhaps she would have as all human beings do and that in this case she sought refuge in alcohol. But when addiction becomes your whole world and you have been living in this terrible way for so many years it is difficult to make things change or improve unless the person has enough willpower to ask for help and even then I think that more than willpower she needs help from a support group, psychological support to be able to treat herself.

At some point she realizes that the vice has robbed her of so many things but mainly it robbed her of her life, her dreams and the relationship she had with her family especially her only son who she practically abandoned when she started drinking. We can see the incredible performance of Andrea Riseborough playing Lee a person addicted to alcohol, where we see how a person who has a strong addiction behaves and also how he loses, loses his family, loses his life and loses his son as he sinks deeper into the darkness and loneliness that comes with this addiction. The film is quite long and has a certain way of showing how the life of an addicted person is, although I know that they did not go deep into the subject and especially in the deterioration of mental health because of it.

La relación madre e hijo está realmente quebrantada pero aún así su hijo la recoge en un terminal y se la lleva a vivir con el, con la condición de que no beba más y se proponga hacer un plan para que rehaga su vida lo mejor que pueda. Ella lo intenta, piensa en su hijo y en todo el daño que le ha hecho y en como ella arruinó su vida por llenar vacíos tal vez que tendría cómo todos los seres humanos y que en este caso ella busco refugio en el alcohol. Pero cuando la adicción se vuelve tu mundo entero y llevas tantos años viviendo de esta terrible forma es difícil hacer que las cosas cambien o mejoren al menos que la persona tenga la fuerza de voluntad suficiente para pedir ayuda y aún así creo que más que fuerza de voluntad necesita ayuda por parte de un grupo de ayuda, apoyo psicológico para poder tratarse.

En algún punto ella se da cuenta de el vicio le ha robado tantas cosas pero principalmente le robó su vida, sus sueños y la relación que tenía con su familia en especial con su único hijo el cual prácticamente abandono cuando empezó a beber. Podemos ver la increíble actuación de Andrea Riseborough interpretando a Lee una persona adicta al alcohol, donde vemos cómo se comporta una persona que tiene una fuerte adicción y además la forma en la que pierde, pierde a su familia, pierde su vida y pierde a su hijo mientras más se va hundiendo en la oscuridad y la soledad que conlleva esta adiccion. Es bastante larga la película y tiene una cierta forma de mostrar cómo es la vida de una persona adicta aunque se que no profundizaron del todo en el tema y sobre todo en el deterioro de la salud mental a causa de ello.

This movie is quite sad, we know how was the story of a real person who was awarded and who did not know how to manage money well, who fell into addiction and suffered the consequences of this until the end, although in the movie I felt that they romanticized her story a little because she manages to have a relationship with a man who treated her very well from the first moment he met her and that in part was the one who made her begin to heal and want to change, we can also see that when she sees a picture of her son she feels so much pain that she decides to give up alcohol suddenly which causes many side effects in her such as vomiting, dizziness and tremors.

My opinion of this film is that no one is exempt from living something like falling into an addiction whether it is alcohol, marijuana or drugs in general, I think there are many factors that make a person end up falling into this world, it can be feeling little love for oneself, mental problems, depression, search for pleasure or not wanting to be present in their own reality. I do not judge the person who goes through something like this, it is very difficult both for the addict and for the people around him/her, such as the family, to have to live with someone like this and for the addict it is even more difficult to understand that he/she has a problem, that it is not normal to want to be on drugs or alcohol all the time and that he/she can have a more bearable life if he/she recognizes that he/she has a problem and decides to face it. One phrase that stayed with me from the movie was "No one will hurt you more than you hurt yourself" and it is so true, sometimes we are our own worst enemies.

I hope you can see this movie to which I give 3.5 out of 5 stars because there were some things that I did not end up liking or fit with the theme of the movie which is a person going through addiction and it was also quite long for my taste with a duration of two hours. Está película es bastante triste, conocemos como fue la historia de una persona real que salió premiada y que no supo administrar bien el dinero, que cayó en la adicción y que sufrió hasta el final las consecuencias de esta, a pesar de que en la película sentí que romantizaron un poco su historia porque ella consigue tener una relación con un hombre que la trato muy bien desde el primer momento que la conoció y que en parte fue el que hizo que ella comenzara a sanar y a querer cambiar, también podemos ver que ella al ver una foto de su hijo siente tanto dolor que decide dejar el alcohol de golpe lo que causa muchos efectos secundarios en ella como vómito, mareos y temblores.

Mi opinión de esta película es que nadie está exento de vivir algo como lo es caer en una adicción sea el alcohol, la marihuana o las drogas en general, creo que hay muchos factores que hacen que una persona termine cayendo en este mundo, puede ser el sentir poco amor hacia si mismo, problemas mentales, depresión, busqueda de algún placer o de no querer estar presente en su propia realidad. No juzgo al que pase por algo así, es muy difícil tanto para el adicto como para las personas a su alrededor como la familia tener que convivir con alguien así y para el adicto es aún más difícil entender que tiene un problema que no es normal querer estar todo el tiempo en las drogas o el alcohol y que puede tener una vida más llevadera si reconoce que tiene un problema y decide enfrentarse a él. Una frase que me quedo de la película fue "Nadie te hará más daño que tú mismo" y es tan real esto, a veces somos nuestros peores enemigos.

Espero que puedan ver esta película a la cual de doy 3,5 de 5 estrellas por qué hubieron algunas cosas que no me terminaron de gustar o encajar con el tema que presenta la película que es una persona pasando por la adicción y además fue bastante larga para mí gusto con una duración de dos horas. Aún así pienso que está bien tomarse el tiempo y ver este tipo de películas y tomar lo mejor de lo que nos trata de transmitir. Nos vemos en un próximo post y gracias por el apoyo siempre!
