Hola amigos de la comunidad de Movies & Tv el día de hoy estuve revisando algunas películas para ver y recordé una que tenía tiempo pensando en verla pero estaba indecisa, algunas opiniones sobre esta película fueron buenas y otras no tanto. Me parece que es una película que toca un tema muy delicado y que tal vez la sentí como demasiado rosa al terminar de verla. La película se llama "Luckiest girl alive" es de Netflix y está protagonizada por Mila Kunis, se estrenó en septiembre del 2022 siendo de género drama y misterio.

Hello friends of the Movies & Tv community today I was reviewing some movies to watch and I remembered one that I had been thinking about watching for a while but I was undecided, some opinions about this movie were good and others not so good. It seems to me that it is a movie that touches a very delicate subject and maybe I felt it as too pink when I finished watching it. The movie is called "Luckiest girl alive" is from Netflix and stars Mila Kunis, it was released in September 2022 being of drama and mystery genre.

Tiffany Fanelli (Mila Kunis) es una mujer en sus 30s que es escritora en una empresa y se dedica hacer columnas sobre cosas sobre relaciones de pareja y sexualidad ya que este parece ser el tema de interés y lo que llama la atención de los clientes. Tiffany es una mujer tal cual lo dice el nombre de la película, la mujer más afortunada del mundo. Pero no todo es lo que parece, durante el comienzo de la película podemos ver cómo ella comienza los preparativos para casarse con el hombre ideal según ella, un hombre con dinero, fortuna y lleno de reconocimientos, es exactamente lo que merece y lo que necesita en su vida para ser frente a los demás una mujer empoderada y afortunada.

Tiffany Fanelli (Mila Kunis) is a woman in her 30s who is a writer for a company and writes columns about relationships and sexuality since this seems to be the topic of interest and what attracts the attention of clients. Tiffany is a woman just as the name of the movie says, the luckiest woman in the world. But not everything is what it seems, during the beginning of the film we can see how she begins preparations to marry the ideal man according to her, a man with money, fortune and full of recognition, is exactly what she deserves and what she needs in her life to be in front of others an empowered and fortunate woman.

Todo parece ir bien con los preparativos del matrimonio, pero mientras el tiempo va pasando Tiffany tiene ciertos momentos "incómodos" dónde se ve a ella misma llena de sangre y también desatando su ira interior contra su futuro esposo. Todo esto tiene una explicación y viene desde que ella era una adolescente llena de sueños y ganas de conquistar el mundo. Pero ella es solo una joven que cree que todos son buenos y que ser vista por los populares del colegio es lo mejor que le puede haber pasado, el grupito de los populares se acercan a ella y la invitan a unirse a su grupo, también la invitan a fiestas y salidas donde hay mucho alcohol para ser menores de edad.

Everything seems to be going well with the marriage preparations, but as time goes by Tiffany has certain "uncomfortable" moments where she sees herself full of blood and also unleashing her inner rage against her future husband. All this has an explanation and it comes from when she was a teenager full of dreams and desire to conquer the world. But she is just a young girl who believes that everyone is good and that being seen by the populars of the school is the best thing that could have happened to her, the little group of the populars approach her and invite her to join their group, they also invite her to parties and outings where there is too much alcohol to be underage.

En una de las fiestas a la que fue invitada luego de muchos tragos de licor Tiffany termina en una situación por la que nadie espera pasar en su vida. Es víctima de una violación por parte de los chicos del grupo popular. Las imágenes de ese momento son fuertes y muy explícitas. Esto marca un antes y un después en la vida de Tiffany, ahora está llena de miedo y dolor, no sabe a quien acudir o en quien confiar pero tiene el apoyo de un profesor de la escuela aunque no le fue de mucha ayuda. Aquí vemos como el sistema les falla a las personas en el momento que más lo necesitan, tapando ciertas situaciones para que no sea un escándalo.

She is the victim of a rape by the boys of the popular group. The images of that moment are strong and very explicit. This marks a before and after in Tiffany's life, now she is full of fear and pain, she does not know who to turn to or who to trust but she has the support of a teacher at school although he was not very helpful. Here we see how the system fails people at the moment they need it most, covering up certain situations so that it is not a scandal.

El tiempo pasó y ella sigue cargando con el peso de su violación y de otros incidentes que ocurriendo después de eso. Tiffany piensa que puede controlarlo todo, sus emociones y sus arranques de ira que le dan por comer demasiado al punto de atorarse. Tiffany thinks she can control everything, her emotions and her outbursts of anger that she gets from eating too much to the point of gagging. It's like her way of punishing herself and saying she's to blame because she drank too much or for being in that situation. The rapists got what they deserved but there is one who reappears in Tiffany's life with the intention of apologizing and reaching a truce with her so that she won't tell the story of what happened.

Está película toca temas tan delicados como lo es una violación, la manera en la que el violador después de cometer el acto hace como si no hubiera ocurrido nada he incluso llega a seguir con su vida y tener una familia. Todo como si nada hubiera pasado, pero cosas como estás no se olvidan y dejan marcas que no se pueden ver pero que están ahí recordando cada día el dolor de haber sido abusada y que nadie te creyera. Mila Kunis es una actriz bastante buena aunque en esta película solo algunas escenas me gustaron, sentí que le faltó ponerle más emoción y ella lo hizo como si fuera solo un problema más.

This film touches on such delicate issues as rape, the way in which the rapist, after committing the act, acts as if nothing had happened and even goes on with his life and has a family. Everything as if nothing had happened, but things like this are not forgotten and leave marks that can not be seen but are there every day remembering the pain of having been abused and that no one believed you. Mila Kunis is a pretty good actress although in this movie only a few scenes I liked, I felt it lacked to put more emotion and she did it as if it was just another problem.

También hablan de cómo los adolescentes se dejan llevar por la intención de ser populares y tener poder sobre otros. Es muy triste lo que le sucedió a Tiffany, incluso su madre no le creyó y la trato mal, hasta le dijo que había sido su culpa por haber bebido demasiado, no puedo imaginar lo doloroso que debe ser que te diga algo así tu propia madre. El abusador tiene ciertas características que a veces pasan desapercibidas pero que están ahí, como por ejemplo suelen ser personas que no tienen empatía y no les importa lo que pase con los demás. Tampoco tienen remordimientos o sentimientos de culpa, es algo que podemos ver en tantas personas hoy en día que realmente es triste.

They also talk about how teenagers get carried away with the intention of being popular and having power over others. It is very sad what happened to Tiffany, even her mother did not believe her and treated her badly, she even told her that it was her fault for drinking too much, I can't imagine how painful it must be to be told something like that by your own mother. The abuser has certain characteristics that sometimes go unnoticed but are there, for example they are usually people who have no empathy and do not care what happens to others. They also have no remorse or feelings of guilt, it is something that we can see in so many people today that it is really sad.

Cómo dice el nombre de la película "luckiest girl alive" eso es lo que pensaría una persona que solo mira lo exterior, sin saber que cosas ha tenido que pasar alguien para tener la vida que desea a pesar de que el pasado la persiga. Tiffany tuvo que replantearse tantas cosas, como perdonarse a si misma después de haber cargado con el peso de la culpa y sentir que no merecía todo lo que tenía en su vida. Los abusadores comúnmente buscan personas como Tiffany, que sean tímidas y que puedan doblegar hasta abusar de ellas de diferentes maneras y es algo tan triste que en la actualidad se vean casos tras casos tan atroces sobre violaciones.

As the name of the movie says "luckiest girl alive" that's what a person who only looks at the outside would think, not knowing what things someone has had to go through to have the life they want even though the past haunts them. Tiffany had to rethink so many things, like forgiving herself after carrying the weight of guilt and feeling she didn't deserve everything she had in her life. Abusers commonly look for people like Tiffany, who are shy and can be bent to abuse them in different ways and it is such a sad thing that we see case after heinous case of rape nowadays.

Se que en la película intentaron dar un mensaje de que tarde o temprano el que es cruel termina mal y que el tiempo pone a cada uno en su lugar. Pero me pareció que no fue muy "realista" no sé si sea la actuación de Mila que no me terminó de cuadrar porque no veía realmente a una persona que ha sufrido mucho o que simplemente tocaron el tema de manera superficial. Aún así me parece bueno que sigan hablando acerca de estos temas que muchas personas consideran "incómodos" pero que son necesarios para poder ser una mejor sociedad y cuidarnos de este tipo de situaciones.

I know that in the movie they tried to give a message that sooner or later the one who is cruel ends badly and that time puts everyone in their place. But it seemed to me that it was not very "realistic", I don't know if it was Mila's performance that didn't fit me because I didn't really see a person who has suffered a lot or that they just touched the subject in a superficial way. Even so, I think it's good that they keep talking about these topics that many people consider "uncomfortable" but that are necessary to be a better society and take care of this kind of situations.

En general la película trata de darle luz a todas esas personas que han pasado por abusos de cualquier tipo y que deja como mensaje que no eres lo que te paso, no eres lo que dicen tus padres o el trabajo que tienes. Eres lo que haces por los demás, eres todas las veces que estuviste a punto de rendirte pero decidiste seguir y luchar por tener una vida significativa dejando un mensaje para todos, porque a veces contando nuestra historia podemos ayudar a alguien que esté pasando por lo mismo y que vea que siempre hay luz al final.

In general the film tries to give light to all those people who have gone through abuse of any kind and leaves as a message that you are not what happened to you, you are not what your parents say or the job you have. You are what you do for others, you are all the times you were about to give up but decided to continue and fight to have a meaningful life leaving a message for everyone, because sometimes telling our story we can help someone who is going through the same thing and see that there is always light at the end.
